    Noisy hot water tank fan

Chad McDaid came to my house to help me with the noise my hot water tank was making. He was great; very polite and knowledgeable. He even explained to me some options Reliance offers in terms of coverage. Two thumbs up.

    Water heater repair

Chad came promptly in the AM as promised, as my water heater had stopped working. He promptly and courteously diagnosed and repaired the water heater. It was a pleasure dealing with him.

    Air Conditioner Replacement

After enduring 4 days of 88F temps in the home and multiple visits from another company, we finally called Reliance Home Comfort. Not only did the Home Comfort Advisor (Pamela Calderone) come on the same day that I contacted them but the technicians (Markus and Bruce) with the new unit did too! Pamela was great in providing me information about all of the possible payment, price and unit options. She was very understanding of our urgent situation and did everything to get us a unit the same day. Markus and Bruce worked efficiently and clean and they were very informative, friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Reliance Home Comfort. Thank you Pamela, Markus and Bruce!

    Air conditioner repair

Exceptional service provided by your technician Sheldon #3058 when he repaired our air conditioner today. He was knowledgeable, professional and very personable. Worked steadily to install a new coil to bring us some cool air. You are very fortunate to have an employee of his caliber representing your company

    Worst Customer 'Service' Ever Experienced

My wife and I have never experienced customer service as bad as Reliance - ever, for any product in any industry. It is so long that I need to space this out into different days: On Wednesday, June 27th - two days before a long-scheduled trip for the August long weekend on Friday, July 29th - the tankless water heater that my wife and I pay $50 a month to rent suddenly stopped working. We called Reliance right away and were on hold for 25 minutes before being able to get in touch with anyone. Finally my wife was able to speak to a representative who was rude, unhelpful, and put her on hold for half an hour before ultimately saying that a technician could come to take a look at it the next night - no effort was made to send a technician that night. The representative was rude enough that I called separately, and after being on hold myself for a while, got nowhere either. The window for the technician to come was 4-8pm the next day. Thursday, June 28 - The technician came late - after 8pm - poked around for a while, and determined that the entire heater needed to be replaced. He told us we had to call separately, the next morning, to book an appointment, because it was a "separate department." With our vacation plans fast melting away in front of us, we immediately called a service representative again, who said we had to talk to a different rep. We then called again, my wife spoke to her for some time, and was then disconnected. My wife then called another person, who was friendly and who insisted - after we were again put on hold a couple separate times - that a technician would come by on Friday morning between 7-11am to replace the heater. We were relieved, but had no faith at all that this would actually happen. Friday, July 29 - Sure enough, as we were tentatively packing our bags for our trip, Reliance called at 8:30am to let us know that the rep the night before had made a mistake - there was no technician available to replace the heater at any point on Friday, but they could come on MONDAY - five full days after the first call. We were at our wits end by this point, having already booked our trip and taken time off for it. My wife pleaded with the rep to find a solution, and after initially being told there was nothing that could be done, was finally transferred to the customer retention department (after, again, being put on hold). After another hour and waiting for a call back, it was finally confirmed that the company would contract out the replacement, and that they would come between 10-2pm (we were supposed to leave at 1pm). They showed up at 1:50pm, but by that point we were just happy to have them there. They fixed it. But wow, what an ordeal. We will most certainly be exploring all options to end our contract with Reliance.

Service Call from Joe V. (Kingston office)

Joe was extremely courteous and helpful. This was a yearly service call and he explained what he was doing and why he was doing it. Questions were asked and answered in plain language. Thanks for the great service!

    air conditioner

We had our air conditioner installed on May 1st. Reliance sold us on a deal with a $400 rebate, which was supposed to be sent to us 4-8 weeks later. We are now 3 months later. No rebate. No support from Reliance just a ' its not our problem' attitude. Boo for you Reliance!! You should support your product promotions and provide the rebate promised! Reliance's Esculation Dept doesnt even return our calls. I wouldn't recommend Reliance because of our experience!

    get AC installed

I received an undersized AC from the builder. My AC is running all the time just trying to keep up. Called reliance to get proper heat/loss calculations for the home to determine exact size of AC needed for my home. Lindsay Taylor came to my home on July 8 to get the measurements for the calculations. I am still waiting just for the calculations and I can't make a decision on the AC since Lindsay didn't get back to me. Her last email to me was July 20 to let me know that she is calling me the next day. It’s now August 3rd and no word from Lindsay (reliance). DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. TERRIBLE CUST SERVICE. CAN’T EVEN GET LOAD CALCULATION INFO FROM THEM TO EVEN WANT TO BUY AN AC FROM THEM. NEVER AGAIN.

Smart Air 1000 sale and installation

set up in-home consultation the week before. Barry visited my home and provided options for replacing my old AC. Barry was easy to talk to and knowledgeable. I went with his recommendation as I know little about air conditioning. The next day, Amir and Adam came by and installed the unit I purchased. Amir and Adam are fantastic. Install took from 930-1:30. I live in a century old town home that provided a few obstacles, adding to the install time. Amir and Adam replaced the copper wire to get the most out of the system I purchased. They did a good job of securing the wire to the exterior of the house; it looks neat and tidy. They took my old unit and leveled off the land where the new unit is to be installed. Honestly, these guys took care of everything. They tidy up after they are done and use runners in the house so that they don't track dirt. 10/10. Love that the install was included in the unit price. Reliance also offers a number of other guarantees ensure customer satisfaction. You may find a unit and install for less money but I have peace of mind after all of my dealings with Reliance.
