I needed a new Furnace and A/C unit. My Sales representative, Frank, was completely up front and no pressure. The service plan from Reliance offers me worry free peace of mind for 10 years.
The installers, Sep and Burak, were excellent. They laid down drop cloths throughout the house to ensure the floors were protected. They were both very professional and did a great job with the removal of the old equipment and the installation of the new Furnace and A/C.
I'm pretty particular about the way work is done and finished and they did not disappoint. The job was cleanly installed and the worksite was fully cleaned after installation and all the old equipment was taken away for recycling.
Sep did a full walkthrough of all the new equipment and demonstrated how to do a seasonal switchover with the new humidifier and thermostat.
I recommend Reliance if you are in the market for a new HVAC system. We paid a little bit more up front than the cheapest quote but after doing the math for the next 10 years, the Total Cost of Ownership was cheaper than the lower quote because of the structure of the warranty and service contract.
For comparison, I got a quote from Enercare which was $4000 higher for the same equipment with a lesser warranty. Completely out to lunch and the sales guy had no authority to change the pricing structure in any meaningful way.
I got a quote from another company that was about a $1000 cheaper than the quote I got from Frank but the warranty structure would have cost me $2000 over 10 years in mandatory annual services in order to maintain the equipment warranty. This made the TCO higher.
There are many companies that will give you a rock bottom price but when you have an issue they will be nowhere to be found and the equipment may or may not be warranted by the manufacturer depending on where the equipment was purchased from.
Do your homework.
