    A/C retrofit

    Service tech, Kyle Vodden, was helpful and knowledgeable. He listened to the issues and made good suggestions as to the fix required. The service call was prompt and the arrangements for the follow up call are to be on the same day. We have been a Reliance customer for several years and have always been pleased with the service.

    hot water tank replacement

    On May 3rd and 4th, I had service provided by advisors Greg L. and Wes C. They both have excellent communication, problem solving, people ,and technical skills. I have had many reliance workers over a period of 17 years. These two advisors, in my opinion are the best. Unfortunately, not all Reliance workers have a good working ethic.

    Escellent service from start to finish!

    We had Lina come to talk to us about a new furnace and what our options were, she was great! We had everything explained to us so we could make a decision that worked for us. Lina went above and beyond to get us exactly what we wanted at a price we could live with. The furnace was installed the next day and the technicians (sorry I do not remember their names) were amazing if there wasn't noise being made I never would have known they were there. They explained to me how everything worked with the furnace and new thermostat and made sure I understood everything before they left. And I think my laundry room ended up cleaner then when they arrived! Our new furnace came with a 10 year warranty, parts and labour included. I would defiantly recommend Reliance to anyone thinking about making a heating and/or cooling purchase! It was truly pain free!

    Aircon repair

    I was having problem with my newly installed AC and I called Reliance to report the problem. They promptly advised that a tech will come the following day. Joe Green went to fix my Aircon and in less than an hour he got it working. He was very professional and knowledgeable in his field of expertise. He is highly recommendable.

    Water Heater problem

    I have a water heater rented from this company. There was no hot water so at 7:00 pm I called and asked for someone to attend. The call taker said someone will attend by 11:00 pm and it will be closer to 11. I asked if the technician could call me before attending. I Called the company at 10:30 pm to confirm if someone is coming. The new call taker said that you are booked for 10 am - 2 pm slot. And the last call taker left notes stating that she left a message on my voicemail. There was no message on my phone and this call taker asked me to call the following day to speak to customer relations. In 7 years I needed them once and they failed.

    Reliance can't be trusted to honour agreement with National Home Services

    Rented Hot Water Tank from National Home Services. Told after 5-years I can buy for $300. Now, Reliance says the buyout fee is $1,365. but I can have it removed for a cost of $472.50. They also advised that the contract is for as long as the hot water tank is working. They also recently raised my rental rates and said they have the right to do that according to their contract, which I did not sign with them. I will never deal with Reliance after this episode.

    Furnace install - no service after

    We replaced out furnace with Reliance. Upon city inspection, a few infractions in the installation were noted. Reliance did not contact us even though they received this information from the city. After a couple of weeks had passed, we called Reliance to fix the issues. They set up an appointment for a Friday that they did not show up for nor did they call to inform us of their cancellation. We called to voice some frustration and re-book. They re-booked us for the next day, and once again they did not show up nor did they call to let us know. When I called to follow up, they told me simply that the call had been voided. I am not happy with the service.

    Replaced furnace, a/c unit and water heater

    During annual maintenance technician advised me furnace and a/c were reaching the end! Service Technicians were excellent, both for maintenance and new installation. John Bielas was the salesman, was very knowledgeable and the following day I had a new furnace and a/c. The following Tuesday I had a new water heater. John organized the many rebates and promotions available to me. These are all rentals. The whole customer service experience was excellent.

    Hot water heater replacement

    Our 18 year old hot water heater, which we were renting from Reliance, stopped working. The first person who came to help us was brusque and frankly unhelpful. He appeared to be unconcerned that we would be without hot water over the long Victoria Day weekend if there wasn't an immediate fix. However, the Reliance phone centre was very helpful. A second person, I think Andrew, came the next day and provided some cheerful news and set up a visit for a replacement. He was positive and very professional. The hero of the day was Harry R. (RCH 0868). He spent about three hours replacing our hot water heater and vent pipe. He was professional, cheerful and keep me informed about this progress. We have hot water and are grateful to Harry R. So despite the bitter taste
