    Disapointing

    The service agents have been great, Joe included, but most other things about Reliance have been disapointing: - Them never sending us the original documents for our set up - Which was because they had the wrong address on file, they sent us 3 bills and then slapped us with late fees, and that we were going to collections they never called us about our bills, just kept sending files to the wrong address - The first time we called we asked for service originally after a certain time. They came to our house before, and when we asked about coming later he said he saw no notes about that - The original crew messed up, and we had no working AC, Joe came and fixed the problem but this was after the first heat wave and paying for AC. Mistakes happen but we were paying for AC this whole time and it was never working. Kind of disappointed...once you get them in the house, the service people and sales are fine, but any follow up over the phone fails miserably. Wouldn't recommend really, we'll probably look for cheaper alternatives.

    Hot water tank service

    Reliance helped us out over the long weekend when we had no hot water! They were at our door first thing the next morning and the service technician Christian was fantastic!

    Replace water heater

    Needed my water heater replaced so called Reliance and they sent Mark Cooper to do the job next day. Mark called prior to arriving and made sure to wear his boot protectors in the house. He removed the old water heater with no mess and quickly installed the new one. Mark took the time to explain the new tanks features and showed me how it operates. He also offered the various service plans that Reliance offers. Mark should be the model Reliance uses when training and evaluating their other technicians. Great attitude, great work , great job.     Furnace Repair

    Our new furnace stopped turning on and clearly given that it was not even a year old I knew it would be covered by the warranty. I called Reliance and obtained a service appointment for the same day. Adam W. arrived and looked at the furnace and quickly diagnosed the problem - the motor was dead. Adam W. called for a new motor and it arrived the next day via courier. I called Adam W. and he arrived within 20 minutes and was finished the new motor installation within 45 minutes. Adam W. is a friendly and reliable service technician - I highly recommend Adam W for any of your furnace repair needs.

    Hot water heater

    I was very impressed on how quick and professional Mark Cooper was when he came to fix my hot water heater. He was very courteous and friendly. I would definitely tell anyone that if you have a problem this is your guy. Great job!!

    Furnace, A/C and Watr Heater

    I started with online research and then a visit from Darryl Cherry, Home Comfort Advisor. We were replacing an old furnace and Darryl talked us through the rebates and incentives available. Reliance had a special with the A/C so we went for a combined package. I researched the brand of furnace they used. For my furnace A/C package it was Rheem and I found excellent reviews. I decided to switch to a Reliance water heater rental at the same time. Removal of the old and installation of the new took a single day. The installers, Mike Goosney and Luciano Lavoie are great! Protective mats were laid down, the job was started on time and completed on time, everything left clean. They showed off their work proudly and demonstrated the new controls. I really like the idea that the company that installs the equipment is a major service company so they can back up their service/labour guarantee. Overall an excellent experience.

    new furnace and air conditioner

    Reliance was very informative and professional throughout the process. Both the salesman and the technicians who came to do the work were knowledgeable and answered every question carefully. Amir and Adam did the install quickly and carefully, explaining each process and asking permission before making any changes to the house in order to do the install most efficiently. Adam was very creative in finding the best way to place the larger air conditioning unit. They tested both heat and air, taught us to use the new system, cleaned up, and stayed until all our questions were answered.

    furnace/air installation

    My new air conditioner did not work, and I feel the installers did a bad job. The installers were a contracted company because Reliance Techs were busy. I did not know this at the time. I called for service since there was a loud noise and was sent another contracted technician (didn't know this) who couldn't solve the problem. AFter another call to Reliance, I was assured they would send one of their technicians. Finally we found out that it was a faulty condenser and they needed to fix or replace it. The two technicians that replaced the faulty air conditioner did a very, very good job. They even corrected issues with the original installation so my equipment would work properly. The job was neat and tidy...not like the original installers. Ask for technicians Howard #3037 and Dylan #1164 and you will get excellent service. Thanks guys!

    Servicemanrepacement

    Hot water tank quit and started leaking. Service was scheduled for the next day between 10am-2pm. Serviceman, Steve, arrived promptly at 11:00 am - Very efficient, equipped with covers for his work boots, etc. Assessed the situation that I needed a replacement and phoned immediately to schedule that appointment. Very impressed with his efficiency. Next appt scheduled between 1pm-5:00pm. I phoned the dispatcher # provided, to inform them that I would not be home between 2:45-3:15pm. Promptly at 3:20pm Cameron arrived with new tank - was very efficient, laid covers on all the floor areas he would be using, pulled the old tank out without touching the staircase walls, installed the new one, and was done in about 45 minutes. He even warned me that there might be a slight smell of gas due to him making a new hook-up so that I would not be alarmed. He was very conscientious of his customer and very efficient. These 2 employees are exactly what 'service professionals' should be like and I hope they are rewarded appropriately.

    HVAC

    I would have given this company a 10 if not for a minor hiccup. Andrew McMaster, the sales agent, was really helpful from beginning to end, that's why I'm still giving them 9.
