    Furnace

    The condensate pump was making a loud sound. Called the 1-866 number and was told someone would be calling me the following day between 1 & 5PM. I received a call from technician DAA1920 Matt M. at 1:15PM and he was at my residence within 15 minutes. He replaced the unit and was very efficient and very polite. I am very pleased with the results.

    House Furnace and A/C

    Called to have my furnace/AC looked at as I seemed to have low air flow. Scheduled appointment for next morning which was fast. Ian B. was the tech to come to my door and he was very polite, helpful and fully explained what he was doing. My system is a rental of Reliance so he gave me new filter and cleaned furnace and A/C unit. After replacing all general things I still had low air flow from A/C. He found the problem which was that unit was was not set to a high enough airflow using electronic thermostat. He showed me where I could adjust that and suggested many things around house that would help to heat or cool area. He was a great tech and spent a long time looking at my whole system to make sure everything was set just right.

    Hot water heater service

    Jake was very professional and fixed our problem in short order... Great to have such good service on the Friday of a long week-end.. Thanks for the fast and friendly service.

    Hot Water Tank Service

    I called for service Tuesday evening when I realized I had no hot water. Service Desk was polite, thorough and prompt with my issue. An appt was set for Wednesday evening at my request due to my schedule. Tech arrived on time and after considerable effort was unable to fix, explaining the issue was the gas pressure. Called Enbridge who came out that night and found no leaks and stated a reading of 6.6 at regulator was sufficient. Called Reliance Service Desk again and was greeted with the same prompt service and an appt was made for Thursday AM. Tech arrived and explained the tank was rusty and seemed to be leaking at the top and required replacement. Next appt set for Friday AM for tank replacement. Technical Advisor Philip Sirek arrived on time and within a few minutes had the existing tank up and running. Issue was dampness in the bottom of the tank. The tank is in a cellar not a basement and is exposed to damp conditions. Gas pressure was fine and wiring was not damaged. Philip showed me everything he did to get the tank up and running. His professionalism and knowledge restored my confidence in Reliance Technical Advisors. I asked him about the possibility of tankless in my cellar and he provided a clear explanation and recommendation of how it could be done if and when I decide to move to that option. He also placed screens on the intake and exhaust of my high efficiency furnace when he noticed they were not installed. This gentleman went above and beyond. Philip definitely is a trusted advisor and exemplifies the customer focus of Reliance Home Comfort.

    Water Tank Replacement

    John S technician DAA1485 and Andrew DAA2774 came over same day to replace our hot water tank. They were very professional, quick and efficient and we had a new hot water tank same day! Thanks guys :)

    Air Conditioner

    We got a new Homecomfort rental package installed December 2014 by Reliance. Leasing for $146.89 per month. including service...The new Rheem Air conditioner had been tested by the in house Reliance Rep. July 26, first heat wave of the summer the air doesn't work. Call for service and they come and fix a "loose" wire. Unit runs Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and house does not cool. Were told that techs were too busy to return due to heat wave . We are renting the the equipment and were promised priority service. House is 30 deg. Finally an outsourced contractor appears - he has to replace the A coil , which is back ordered. He had had 4 other customers who also needed this coil. Customer Service was unhelpful .. We signed with Reliance for peace of mind and good service and are very very disappointed and would not recommend this company to anyone. We are nowwaiting for the backordered part with no date promised. VERY disappointed. PS just found out that the problem is a faulty part manufactured by Copleand Stroll...rust prohibitor causing problems This is causing TXVs to fail by creating a sticky tar like substance on the pushrod(s) inside the TXV This fault was known about since last summer.

    Furnace and Air conditioner

    Great job, salesman Reinaldo was great very professional, although he did say they would be done in a day they took a day and a half which put a kink in my work and dog schedules. Overall a good experience. Notice a huge difference in the coolness of the house!!

    Furnace

    I needed a new furnace and air conditioner Bill Hopkins was very helpful and patient with me as I had a very difficult time committing to the price I am very happy with my new furnace it is quiet and and I love the air conditioning

    Furnance/Water heater

    Due to basement flooding I needed to replace my furnace and water heater. The technician was clear I needed to replace both and called Bill Hopkins while he was here. Bill was professional honest and very helpful.

    Air conditioning

    We rented an A/C from reliance last year for 90 CAD/ month and bought the service package with it. This year when the heat started, we felt that the A/C is not cooling what so ever. We called reliance and they sent a technician who did not even bother checking. All he said was close the bedroom doors and wash the units, and he just left. Next day when the temperature was 42 degrees, we called again and they sent another technician to say that there is a valve that should be changed and its a manufacturer's error and there is a recall. To me, the company should have called us and told us about the recall before we get stuck in the heat. He said that the valve is ordered and it should be there the next day. We received the valve 2 days later after calling 3 times a day and the representatives always said oh we can't even check on its status. On the day we received it, I had called in the morning and asked in case we receive it, when can it be installed, and the representative said we will send someone right away even if you receive it at 6 PM. So we receive it and I call to hear, we can't do anything during the evening time we need sun light (the part to be replaced is in the basement i.e. no sun light needed). I think it was the worst decision we take to rent anything from reliance and I would never recommend them to anyone
