We rented an A/C from reliance last year for 90 CAD/ month and bought the service package with it. This year when the heat started, we felt that the A/C is not cooling what so ever. We called reliance and they sent a technician who did not even bother checking. All he said was close the bedroom doors and wash the units, and he just left. Next day when the temperature was 42 degrees, we called again and they sent another technician to say that there is a valve that should be changed and its a manufacturer's error and there is a recall. To me, the company should have called us and told us about the recall before we get stuck in the heat. He said that the valve is ordered and it should be there the next day. We received the valve 2 days later after calling 3 times a day and the representatives always said oh we can't even check on its status. On the day we received it, I had called in the morning and asked in case we receive it, when can it be installed, and the representative said we will send someone right away even if you receive it at 6 PM. So we receive it and I call to hear, we can't do anything during the evening time we need sun light (the part to be replaced is in the basement i.e. no sun light needed). I think it was the worst decision we take to rent anything from reliance and I would never recommend them to anyone
