    Complaint

    Very irresponsible people, terrible service, awful equipment!!! I have been waiting for 2 days and nobody is taking care of my issue! The details are in my files. I am tired of repeating the same story.

    Air conditioning repair during a heat wave

    Terrible company and service. Reliance gave me new air conditioning unit. I started renting it only 10 weeks ago. It stopped working properly. First, Reliance won't send anyone for over 24 hours after my call. Then a guy shows up, putters around for an hour so he can narrow the problem down to one of two things, then says he'll be back the next morning because he needs a 5-hour window to figure it out and fix it. That's two nights with no air conditioning in a heat wave and counting. Problem still not fixed. Again, a brand new unit they sold me 10 weeks ago.

    Air Condition maintenenceService

    Very unhappy with the service technician. He came and check some connections of the furnace., then look at the air conditioner unit out side. Then he said "your unit is in good condition" He then wrote on his paper . Then asked me to sign the paper which I refused to. I had visits from many HVAC technician before, never had such a bad experience.

    Rented equipment more than 10 years

    Very low standards. I have been renting a water tank, furnace and AC for almost 11 years. In July 2024, I asked to upgrade and fix equipment. They just tried to convince me to make a fake claim to insurance stating that it was affected by flooding. However, there was no flooding in my furnace room. I have a washer and dryer in the same space. When I asked another expert for an opinion, they changed their report. Previously, they claimed AC, water tank and furnace were affected by flooding. Later they reported that only the furnace was affected by flooding. I mentioned that it also not true the old equipment had problems before. Even their expert confirmed that the furnace had problems with the cooling pump and there is nothing to do with flooding. Being short, I requested to remove all equipment, and I mentioned that I would not make a fake statement to insurance. It is against my values. I did not agree to buy it either. Now, they have sent me a bill of $2497, and they insisted that I still have to make an insurance claim or pay it.. The funny thing is that in 2023 for that equipment, they offered buy-out price is $1900. So, it looks like they tried to make extra money from insurance?.. I do not know. I had friends with similar issues. After all, if you can trust and be confident about your company. Better do homework and check reviews on different sites including BBB.

    Awesome job

    I was very satisfied with the service arrived on time is to talk to ask. All answers and questions were easy answered explain everything they did very proud of the sale manager, which I was scheduled a day later, and he managed to put me in as soon as possible being such a hot day. Thought it was very hard on me dealing with the heat I was very pressed by that, but they were able to fit me in excellent product Looking forward to being cool

    Great until something breaks

    So this is an ongoing issue. we currently rent our equipment from reliance. a failure last week on the system had a tech out over the weekend. he checked it out told us we had a board failure and that he would submit to reliance to get the parts in. was told to expect an email. with no email in sight from reliance i reached out to enquire and make sure email was correct. to find out there was no info/part order and they had to contact the contractor who came out to see us. that quickly turned into "were going to send a tech out today to investigate" okay cool. tech calls over an hour early saying he'd like to come early. i informed him an hour early wasn't doable but offered 30 minutes early. he agreed to the new time and hung up. that was hours ago. Reliance is great, right up until you have issues and then its just a struggle to get anything done correctly. There is no cross communication between departments or their contractors they assign to the work. all i can say is make sure you document everything to have to take it up with customer support when its over.

    Water softener/purifier

    Ken the service man for reliance was very helpful and professional, making this process very easy for us

    Brutal customer service and wrongly signed-up for a protection

    I am a long-term Reliance water heater rental customer. I scheduled a one off 12-point furnace inspection even though my furnace is working fine. After the call, the technician (who was good) asked if I would like to receive information on their protection plans. Later that day I received confirmation via email suggesting that I had set-up a System Protection Plus Maintenance Plan for $29.99/HST/mo. This was from a no-reply email address. Fast forward.... It took me two calls, three different departments and over 2-hours of my time to cancel a service I never signed-up for. This is just one example of very poor recent service.

    Water Heater Repair

    Our repairman was punctual, extremely helpful, informative. We like the face that he took the time to explain what the issue was and how it would be resolved. Would recommend to others for sure!!

    Air Conditioning

    We booked an appointment for a quote for an air conditioning unit and we had a same day appointment. Our service man was amazing and super kind, provided very helpful information. Our installation appointment is booked!
