Furnace Repair
When my furnace started making loud noises late last night, I called Reliance to see if it should be serviced right away. The girl at the call centre wasn't much help because a) I couldn't hear most of what she was saying, as there was something wrong with her phone b) she told me to shut my furnace off until the next day when it could be serviced (it was -37C all night) between 8am and 1pm.
Today, while waiting for Reliance to arrive, my furnace stopped working completely. Once the technician arrived, my opinion of Reliance changed. Randy (#DAC 0924) found the problem immediately, explained the situation to me, and went to Reliance to see if the part I needed was there. He quickly came back with a part for a different model, which still worked with my furnace. Had he not found that part, since it is Saturday and Monday is a holiday, I would have been without a furnace for a few days. His service and expertise were greatly appreciated! I didn't actually have to pay anything, as I have a protection plan for my furnace.
