    Furnace and Water Heater Replacement

I recently had a new furnace and water heater installed in my home and dealt with Caitlin at Reliance Home Comfort for the purchase. Just want to acknowledge her professionalism, responsiveness and dilegence in addressing all our questions, and ensuring all of our HVAC and Water Heater needs were met. We want to compliment Dan and his team (Mike, Steve, and Manjit) at Dynamic Climate Control who installed the equipment. True professionals at their trade! Punctual, knowledgeable, conscientious, hard working and accommodating with respect to answering our questions and requests. They did a great job! And we look forward to working with them again in Spring for our A/C. Great work and client experience from purchase to completion of instal!

    furnace

Jan 19 had new Goodman furnace installed...didn't work..trying very hard to rate the repair seperate from the new installation that was not flawless... Adam Walker, showed up 4 hrs after call was placed, which I feel is very good...He called ahead...was friendly...and knowledgeable. ..He tested a few things narrowed down the problem and left with the furnace working. ..but still need a replacement part...He ordered it before leaving...left me his card if I had any concerns. So aside from the frustration of having a new furnace needing repairs, the service Adam provided was great, thanks very much, my family will be warm tonight. His personal rating would be a ten...my overall took Reliance and it's installers into account.

    Furnace

Upon coming home to a cold house after work I discovered that the humidifier water line had burst and was leaking into the furnace. I immediately called Reliance and they sent a technician out the next day The technician determined that the furnace was irrepairably damaged (the circuit boards, wires and motor had been fried by the water) and needed to be replaced. The technician called Dan Shepley, the Home Comfort Advisor, and he was out within the hour to discuss our options, choose a new furnace and explain our financing options. The furnace was installed the next day and the technicians were prompt, courteous and respectful of our living space by putting down cloths on all floors they walked on to get from the door to the furnace room. From start to finish our experience has been a very positive one. The technicians and advisor were knowledgable, friendly and reliable and we are very happy with the service we received.

I'm the landlord of a building. The tank broke down beyong repair. A new tank was ordered that very day. We are on day 6 and we still have no hot water in the building. They chose the cheapest delivery method for something I would consider URGENT!!

    Furnace repair

Gary, team member# 0793, arrived between the hours I was given. He did a thorough check on the furnace to find out why it quit. He went out of his way to find a circuit board that would work. He was extremely professional, polite and explained what had happen. Anyone who has Gary to repair their furnace is under good hands. I have the Heating protection plus maintenance plan so the cost was minimal

    Reliance Home Comfort Protection Plan

Moved into new home with a 2013 energy efficient gas furnace. Got Reliance Home Comfort Protection plan, which supposedly includes 24/7 emergency service. Dec 29: Reliance technician comes in for yearly maintenance. Jan 6 - evening. We get home from work to find our furnace is no longer working ad flashing a number of error codes related to pressure. It's -35 degrees out. We phone Reliance, expecting our 24/7 emergency service to kick in. They refuse to send a technician that night and book for the next day. After two hours of phoning them back, and having their call centre manager, Alicola, refuse to speak with us (after promising to phone us back), they finally agreed to send a technician out. Technician arrives around 9pmish and fiddles with furnace, "fixing" it. January 14 - morning. We wake up to furnace not working again. We phone Reliance and they book an appt. for the morning. Technician arrives, and orders two pressure switches, which he says need to be replaced. We're told they will definitely arrive within 24 hours. January 15 - parts arrive about 32 hours later, and we phone Reliance again. They send a technician that evening and he installs the pressure valves and leaves. January 18 - 10:30 pm. Furnace stops working again, spitting out new error codes. We phone reliance and reliance again refuses to send out a technician for emergency service. They booked an appt. for tomorrow. We have to take more time off work. And that's where we are now. Reliance should be called Unreliable Home Discomfort. I have made a formal complaint already to the company through a satisfaction survey. Recieved a form email asking if I could explain my issue. I had already explained in full. I told them I wanted to hear back and give them a chance to resolve it. They never got back to me. So, summary: Reliance broke my furnace while doing maintenance, then refused to send people to fix it on an emergency basis (even though I pay a monthly fee for an emergency plan), and have to date sent three technicians (in addition to the maintenance guy) to "fix" the furnace that they broke. They haven't fixed anything. We now live in fear that the furnace will break during -30 degree weather. This is a 2013 energy efficient furnace. It's not an old clunker. This company sucks. I recommend you go with any of the other heating companies that offer protection plans, because there are other options. I had a working furnace, and now it's broken. I've had to take all sorts of time off work when I can't really do it. It's been awful and the saga continues... Save yourself some hassle and disappointment. Do not sign up for their plan. Do not use this company for anything at all.
