Thank you Vu for your opinion! It is important to us to find the mistakes in a service to avoid this in a future with other customers. I would like to work with this case more details to find out our mistakes for you.
Let's take more precise look at this case. Plumber arrived to your house at 4.28pm, he left your house at 5.55pm. As you can see by GPS (we watch our plumbers from the office and control their movement very precisely. 1,5 hours he was working on your case, snaking the plumbing which was not up to code, pushing and pulling with snake equipment, disturbing the inside blockage. In those cases we have chance to break the equipment, and the chances are very high. That is why all drain pipes are built with clean-outs, 45 degree turn, Y-connection to make sure if you ever need to snake it will be possible to make it. After 1,5 hour plumber recommended to you to re-do the plumbing and left you the quote to make it right and proper. As I can see the charge was $140, not $200 as per your explanation. You called another plumber and he was able to push finally all that blockage further. I will tell you the story which happened a lot with us as well: customer gets plumber, that poor guy is trying and fighting with snake (even brake the snakes), customer is angry, and kicking them out ; customer is calling next plumber, at this time disturbed blockage starting loosing up (physical press work as chemicals - WITH TIME) Then we are coming and with almost a finger pushing all that blockage and look like a hero. The only difference is our plumbers knows that it is not our snakes or our professionalism, it is just a luck that we were in a right time to meet loosen up blockage. Don’t be mad at that plumber, he is a really professional plumber, he tried his best but it is your decision to do or leave it as is. We wish to be the "second plumber" always, but plumbing is a tough trade, and everybody gets there "peanuts". We looked at your case in more detail at the office, and we found out that probably it was the office staff fault from the beginning for not explaining it clearly to you as a customer that snake is very dangerous service, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t in your plumbing system. We will try to explain to customers more about snaking, we found out a lot of clients think that snaking is "ok" to your plumbing. THIS IS NOT! Plumbing that is up to code and is been used properly will never be blocked, snaking by vibration is destroying and breaking the pipe connections, most of the time you will have leaky pipes pretty soon, especially if plumbing was done wrong and is not discharging smoothly by gravity as it supposed to . I wish to have this information clear to every homeowner every time we have request for snaking. Thank you for your support in our work procedure – we will explain the procedure better next time to our valued customers. With best wishes Anta Plumbing Team
