    Patio/garden door

Out of all the companies I called, Brock was the only one that sent a sales person to my home to provide a Quote. Once the order was placed it took multiple calls and follow ups to get a response. The issue was that the door had to be custom ordered and therefore there was a delay, but I was not advised of this, and as a result nearly cancelled the order. However once all was sorted the rest went smoothly. The company made good by covering the difference for the custom changes and Bride was helpful scheduling and coordinating the install. Also the installers, Ben and Jeff did a fantastic job with the door. It was very nice to see them take pride in their job, they also cleaned up well after. Overall the communication could have been better and I would have appreciated being in the loop. That said, the end result was of high quality and I'm happy with the door.

Replacement of Window Parts Under Warranty

In 1999, I had all the windows in my house replaced by Brock. The original job they did was excellent, and I was very pleased. The windows and crank mechanisms came with a lifetime warranty. I didn't think much about the warranty at the time. So, time marches on, and SIXTEEN YEARS LATER, the cranks on two of my windows failed. I called up Brock, expecting to be given some run-around. To my great surprise, the young lady who answered the phone simply asked me for my phone number, looked up my original purchase in a matter of seconds, and said "No problem - we'll order the replacement parts at no charge to you". And she promised to call me back when they arrived. Well, a few days later, I got a call from the same young lady, telling me my parts had arrived. I picked them up and was able to install them in less than 10 minutes!! Brock, thanks for a great product and great customer service. When my windows need replacing in another 20 years or so, I will be sure to call you.

    window replacements

Our overall experience with Brock Windows was AWFUL. After doing some online research and obtaining a variety of estimates, we decided to go with Brock despite their giving us the most expensive quote because the sales rep assured us that they were used to working with old houses and that the installers would be able to replicate the existing trim (that is on all our other windows; we were only having a couple replaced). After we signed and made a deposit, and having been told to expect a visit from an installer to take measurements very soon, we waited for over a month. Phone calls and emails to the head office went unreturned. When I finally got through to someone, she helped look into things, but it still took ages. When the installer eventually came, I went over things with him again, seeking confirmation from the person who was actually going to do the work that it wouldn’t be a problem to replicate the existing trim. He said that that request hadn’t been on the order, but that it could still be done. I had it in an email from the sales rep that replication of the trim was not a problem, so there must have been a lack of communication somewhere. I was concerned at this point, but as the issue seemed to be more notice that there was a preference for replication rather than inability to do it (it is a standard, available trim – nothing fancy), I didn’t worry too much. The installation date was much later than we expected, and I had to push back masonry work that had to be done after the window installation. When the installers finally came to put the windows in, they began by telling me they couldn’t replicate the sill part of the trim when I spoke to them about it right away. They had had two previous opportunities to tell me this and never mentioned that it would be an issue. However, they said they could reuse the existing one. I was fine with that. I went to work, assuming that everything else would be all right, but when I returned, they had installed trim around the top and sides of the two new windows that was completely different from everything else in the house – about twice the size and very garish. There were also large holes in the drywall everywhere. I didn’t know this was going to happen and wish they had told us in advance that in replacing windows we would also need to hire someone to come in and do drywall work afterwards. I signed the form the installers had with them saying that I was “completely” satisfied with the job because I simply wanted them out of the house at that point. Brock’s information sheet for customers says there will be a follow up to make sure the customer is satisfied with the service. It has now been three weeks and there has been no follow up. So basically Brock Windows was slow, uncommunicative, negligent in their internal order processing if not disingenuous in telling me that the trim could be replicated, and insufficiently communicative about the process itself since I didn’t know I would have to hire someone else to fix the walls afterwards. Actually, I had to hire someone else to take off the hideous trim they put up and to replace it with the readily available trim (at Home Depot and doubtless elsewhere) we required and were promised, and to do the drywall work. Brock did not follow up. So overall I advise you not to trust their sales reps, time frames, or delivery on promised work.

    Garage door installation

I got Brock doors and windows to install two garage doors. I was promised professional service with quality workmanship. An installer came and installed it two months after ordering. The job done is very amateurish and when I called to complain, I was told by the coordinator that she has no time, she is very busy and when I called the sales person, he told me that the doors will be fixed. The installer did come back but this time screaming and pointing fingers in a very threatening way. I had to ask him to leave for security reasons. Since then I have had no response. The garage door remains un-operational. At least my old garage door opener worked and I had light in the garage. I regret falling for their promise of quality and professionalism.

Hi Deepak, we're sorry to hear that you're unhappy with your project. Unfortunately after numerous attempts by many staff members here at Brock, we were still unable to meet your expectations. Members of our management team personally visited your home to try and understand your concerns & offer solutions. We have at this time installed everything as per your contract. We've also gone above & beyond to try and satisfy demands of yours that came up before, during, & after your installation. At this point, we've absolutely done everything we can. We're sorry to hear that you're not happy with the final outcome.

    replaced 3 bedroom windows

On October 24th Stephan replaced 3 bedroom windows for us. He was punctual and very tidy as he worked. He covered our floors with drop cloths as soon as he came in. After he was finished he reviewed with us how to open and close the cranks etc. on the windows and how to clean the outsides. I have recommended this company to our friends. Thank you Stephan. Pat and Keith

    Changing our entire windows

The products were highly qualified, and the technicians were very capable and helpful. Especially, the recent service that we had, the technician, Nick, went out of his way to show us various ways that we could open up our windows. Thanks for Brock.

    New large picture window

We have used Brock several time before so went straight to them for a new front replacement picture window. The price was right (for triple glazing) and the work was done really well The two workmen, Kemar and Junior, were courteous and efficient and did a beautiful job and they cleaned up afterwards really well. Far beyond anything we expected. The window looks great and we can tell a big difference already, as the room is much cosier and draught free.

    Window Replacement

We decided to replace the six windows in our back sunroom. These were long casement windows that were probably eighty years old. Phil came by within a week of our call to find out what we wanted and to price the job. We decided on a retrofit and Phil recommended the appropriate windows. He was honest and didn't t try to oversell the many products available. As a matter of fact he indicated they would provide triple pane for the price of double pane. A few weeks later a senior installer came by to review the job and record what had to be done. Two full days were planned for the job. On the day of the istallation, Murat Arslan arrived with a helper, a little later than expected due to traffic issues, and but they got right to work. They worked extremely hard and decided to continue into the evening in the hope of finishing the job in one day. Because it had gotten too dark to finish, they had to return the following day for a couple of hours to complete some outside work. Murat did a great job and both the inside and the outside of the house was fully cleaned up before they left. There was great communication with the company from start to finish and we were very pleased with the result. Actually we were amazed how quiet the sunroom now is with those triple pane windows!

    Windows

The windows that were installed are great. The workmanship was not as good this time as it was last time. An old window was dropped and the glass shattered onto the floor and on our roof. They cleaned it up but I noticed a few pieces of glass laying around that I had to clean up. Some of the trim that was put on looked rough. They had to come back a second time after I complained, and installed good trim. These guys might have had a bad day but overall the windows are great, the house is warm and that's the main thing. No moisture on windows at all.
