Review from Mihai Review left on 21 Feb 2008Rating: 5 out of 5After doing some research on patio doors I realized I have to look in another place than the door-to-door salesmen selling cheap doors and windows. They were not able to answer the simplest questions but were very willing to take the job (and my money) right away and to promise anything I wanted to hear. I decided it is worth spending a little more in order to get a quality door that will ensure years of comfort and trouble-free use. My short list included Brock Home Improvements and after talking to them I realized I may have found what I was looking for. Their knowledgeable technical representative did not pressure me, instead suggested I visit their showroom and check myself the range of products they offer, which I did. Afterwards, he came to my house to help me choose the right door and a few weeks later the installation crew was at my door. The installation went without a problem, very professional, and now I am writing from the improved comfort of my home. I highly recommend Brock Home Improvements to anybody looking to have quality doors or windows installed at a reasonable price.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

After an informative consultation with Terry, we decided to go with Brock to replace 7 back windows, plus a patio door. We felt quite confident that we made the right choice , which was later confirmed by the punctuality and professionalism of our three installers, Tony, Tony and Mark. Our installation date was early February and they didn't let the cold day dampen their enthusiasm for doing the job right. We were so impressed with the entire process that we decided to get our upper front windows replaced, as well. There is not a doubt in our minds that once again, the job will be carried out efficiently.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

From the home consultation to the final installation, we had a great experience with replacing our basement windows. The salesperson knew the product really well and conveyed his knowledge to us, all in a no pressure manner. The installation team was great: quick, efficient, thorough and clean.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

We'd had a new storm entry door installed in our home a couple of years ago and did not leave the storm door on. However the snow drifting again the new door was a nuisance so I shopped around. The new screen door had to be a custom size and from my first telephone to final installation everyone I dealt with was courteous, timely, friendly and could not have done their jobs any better. The salesman suggested some cost-savings to me, wasn't at all pushy, and even found the full-width push opener I particularly wanted. When installation had to be delayed due to illness of the installer, I was notified immediately and kept up-to-date regularly on the hoped-for installation date. I have already recommended Brock to friends, will continue to do so and plan to do one-stop shopping next year when my husband and I hope to be able to have a new patio door put in.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

Our first phase of windows replacement included windows on front side house a few years ago. We choose Brock for their quality and price. Their sales representative, Brian, provided a wealth of information, he educated us and even answered our technical questions! Later when we decided to replace more windows we did not even bother looking for other options. We called Brock because we knew they would provide the best windows we can find on market and at good price. Quality is exceptional, the installation was so proper and on time and my house was spotless after they left. My rooms are so nice and cosy. I am surprized with not only energy saving but with sound insulation too! Thank you Brock, you are a star among all our home reno projects. I'm going to try to make a long story short. The first dealer I checked for prices for doors and windows very quickly let me know I was in the wrong place if I was looking for the best price .I left there feeling a little discouraged with a quote of $14,000 and I would do the work myself. I went to Brock Home Improvements next where the salesman showed me why it would be in my best interest to have their people do the work.We looked at their products and made an appointmment for him to come to our house to take measurements and for us to make final decisions on style,type,etc.. On the way home I stopped at a big box store to get another price on the windows and doors and I would install them.I left a copy of all the measurements with the appropriate dept.and they were to call me with a price.I did get a call the next day, but only to learn;they had lost the measurements.THAT WAS MY SIGN....I WASN'T MEANT TO DO THIS JOB. I placed the order with Brock Home Improvements with them doing the installation. We weren't sorry for that. In 1 1/2 days the crew of three people (one of them a lady I might add) changed 13 windows and a patio door.(The old ones were removed down to the rough opening) I guess I didn't make it a short story after all,did I? I was very impressed with the quality of the work, and the professional work ethics of everyone I dealt with as well as the products which make our home much more comfortable and energy efficient. Thank you Brock Home Improvements for a job well done, especialy to Terry and John and his crew.....Wayne and Helen Cardinal ,Brampton,On. .Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

There are many good windows in the market to choose from today. I am the son of a carpenter and understand that the quality of the product is only the start of the job. I did my research and settled on two brands of windows, one of which Brock sells. The most important part is how well the product is installed, so then I decided to visit and talk to a few companies to get a feel for their sense of commitment. Keep in mind that many companies these days base their profit on how many they install in a day and not on doing it right the first time, so they will not have to come back to fix poor workmanship. I am very happy that I went with Brock; their installers took their time and did the job right. I know because I worked from home to kept an eye on them that day.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

Brock windows offered me the best price from all companies I've inquired. I wasn't too happy with the installation though. They affixed the frames with screws in each frame corner. By doing so they made holes in the vinyl frame structure and the rain water dripped inside the drywalls damaging them. After one year two of the four windows developed moisture inside but they replaced them at no cost after I called them. Great customer service! If I had to re-do this job again I would: 1)chose without hesitation frame-to-frame windows and not keeping the old wooden frame. Yes it costs more but it is worth of. 2)ask the agent to send the best installers they have. 3)make sure to remind Brock windows to give those $50 they advertise for recommendation if they were recommended to me by a former customer of them.Answer from pro:
Dear Dan: Thank you for your review. This would be an unusual circumstance, so you would think we would be able to locate you in our system, however I have not had any luck. So without any details, I am going to respond to the best of my ability. I'm glad that our service department replaced your problem windows at no cost to you. Obviously, by the sound of your review, this should have been avoided in the first place. I can't respond to that without more detail. I'm not sure whether you chose to do your windows retrofit to save money? If you have old frames, you should always choose brick to brick (frame pull)installation. All of our installers are window wise certified. Any installer that we find does not meet our standards would not last long with Brock Home Improvements. We always pay the $50 referral fee when we are aware of it. If the representative neglects to record it on the contract, usually we receive a call from the customer reminding us, and we are happy to send the money. This is after all the best (and cheapest) form of advertising there is. I would love it if you would call me and let me know which job this is so I can check into the details. My toll free number is 1-800-449-3808. Barb/
