I hired Aim Cedar to build a modern smooth fence to match my existing fence, creating a facade to cover my neighbours wall. I asked Jim to match the existing fence and showed him a magazine photo of a similar fence as an example of what I was looking for in a finished product. When the installer arrived I also showed him the front fence and said this is what we are matching. Once the fence was built I was surprised to see the wood was extremely textured. I asked Jim about the quality of the cedar as it was very rough and a number of boards were warped. He confirmed it was the same as my front fence. I paid for it accepting that I must have just gotten a bad batch of lumber. A few weeks later I was removing the clear stain from my front fence and realized there is a rough and smooth side to the cedar boards. I inspected the Aim fence and saw they installed the smooth side facing my neighbours wall. I immediately called Jim to make him aware that the fencing should have been installed with the smooth side facing out. I was told we always put the rough side forward. I reminded him that Aim was supposed to match my existing fence with the smooth side facing my view of it and received no constructive response. After repeated emails asking Jim and Aim what we could do to resolve this problem, I have received no calls from anyone at Aim, or an offer of how we might resolve this significant design flaw. I was completely disappointed with my experience with Aim Cedar. If you care about quality, customer service, a company that cares and has an eye for detail with their craftsmanship and lumber I suggest you hire someone else.

Asked and were given a detailed quote, communication was easy and punctual, great installers who ready-set the posts and placed the panels. A joy to work with from beginning to end!

I got a quote from Jim at Aim Cedar to replace 35’ of old wood panel fencing and a gate. He was very helpful in by making suggestions to improve the final results. He was very professional and his experience was obvious. I agreed to have Aim Cedar take on the project. Jim estimated they would be able to start the project in 3 week. Before a week had passed I received a call to move the date up by a week and a half, which worked for me. The morning the work was to begin, the crew of two arrived (Miles & Matteo), looked over the job, asked for clarification on some details and immediately got to work. It became clear quickly that Miles and Matteo were experienced, took pride in their work and respected my property. I am very fussy and a perfectionist. I could find no fault or suggest improvement in the work they performed. They completed the job in 1 day, left the job site cleaner than when they arrived and were a pleasure to watch them work together. To my pleasant surprise, today I got a call from Jim asking my thoughts on the job done and telling me the quoted price would be $120.00 less than the quote because the crew didn’t use all the material that he’d originally estimated in his quote. I was very impressed with his honesty. I have already recommended this company to friends and family that need work done. Thanks so much for your professionalism.

I had three quote estimates from three different companies. Aim was not the one with the lowest price. The reason I chose them was because of the guy (Jim )who walked me through the whole estimation process in a professional and knowledgeable manner. The job was done beautifully and finished on time, I would recommend this company when it comes to building cedar fence to last.

Jim was knowledgable and had good ideas for our project. He and his team did a great job. As someone who does a lot of work around the house it can be hard to let others take charge but Jim worked with me to resolve the questions I had and ultimately I am happy with the solution.

AIM Cedar replied very quickly for a request for a quote, phoning back, sending a person for a site visit, and then a formal quote document. Installation date was exactly when predicted. The installers, Wade and Gordon, arrived first thing in the morning worked non-stop to remove the old fence and install the new fence and new gate, including solving how to place the panel and post at one end that was more complicated. The skilled installers were personable and professional. The fence is very well made and it is beautiful. Our neighbour sharing this fence is very happy too!

We shared the cost with neighbors. Their process is straight forward, very proactive and friendly. Absolutely no issues!!! Just a great fence! I'd recommend them to anyone. What more can I say.

I chose AIM Cedar Works after getting several estimates. They were the only one to note that a rotting post needed to be replaced plus a garden bed needed to supported by 4X4s at the base of the fence. Other companies recommended short cuts that were cheaper but would have resulted in a less than complete job being done. AIM workers were knowledgeable and efficient. A wet day and soft grass at the worksite resulted in a muddy track at the end of the day. They showed concern for the result and did what they could to remediate the lawn. I don't hesitate to recommend this company.

The whole process was very seamless. The old fence was removed and new one installed in one day. The installer kept us informed on the progress and asked for clarification when he was not sure. The property was left clean and tidy at the end of the day.

The estimate was less than I expected. The work was done quickly and very professionally. They were meticulous on their cleanup after completion of the job. I would highly recommend them.
