    Highly Recommended!!

We needed our retaining wall and outdoor staircase rebuild. Aim Cedar Works was recommended to us by another happy client so we were comfortable from the start. They didn’t disappoint as we received clear information throughout, the installers were high calibre and knowledgeable, and the follow up was professional and timely. We will be contacting Aim Cedar Works the next time we have work to be done!

    Fence

I had aim do 2 projects for me and it was quoted and installed in a timely fashion with no hold ups or surprises exactly as presented. I was very impressed with the installers as the worked hard and really knew what they were doing. I have another project coming up and they will be the only one I will call for any future jobs. Noce to find a company to deal with like aim.

    Great deck, great price.

I used Aim cedar works for construction on my new deck. These guys were great to deal with. Chris the general contractor answered all my questions with great detail and there were no hidden extras. They cleaned up after themselves every day. Quality work at a fair price. I would not hesitate in recommending them. Thanks again.

    Fence and landscaping

*Edit - I wrote an initial review and rated the company quite low because I felt it reflected the quality of work and service we received. We paid for the invoice and chalked it up to a very expensive learning lesson for us. However, our contact (Chris) reached out and surprised us by fixing all of the issues we had at no extra charge. I want to point out that the bill was paid already and they had absolutely no need to come back to us. This speaks volumes to their professionalism and genuine desire to ensure customer satisfaction. If not for the quality of work, I would recommend them for their sheer professionalism and ease to work with. I would have given them higher marks if they had gotten the work done right the first time. In short, Aim Cedar works was referred to us by Home Depot as their contractor and source for fencing and landscaping. We wanted to use our Home Depot cards to take advantage of the no interest promotion. The work we had done included: Horizontal cedar fence installation, aluminum sliding gate installation, landscaping which involved filling the entire yard with road base and grading. There were some issues with the quality of the fence initially but our contact Jim worked with us to get it fixed. The fence installer decided to align the fence with the fence line of our neighbors which resulted in a fence that did not run parallel with the side walk. Initially, Jim offered to pull all the posts back up and realign but I opted to leave the fence as is in exchange for having the top rails (which weren't included) instead. The aluminum sliding gate was installed without any issues and we extremely satisfied with the speed of the install and quality of the gate. The landscaping should have been a very straight forward job of grading and laying down road base but the first round of work was unsatisfactory so I called Chris immediately. He inspected the work and informed me that they would be back to correct the work. During the second round of work, they did a better job of grading the yard but decided to lay down a different color of road base. Chris explained that road base is usually not a finishing product and the landscapers probably didn't think twice to lay down a different color road base. There was some back and forth and eventually Chris provided a solution which was to cover the area with gravel on top of the road base which we would have to pay for. We did not want to pay to fix an error that was made because of the landscapers assumption so we signed off on the work and decided to chalk it up to an expensive lesson learned. In the end, Chris came back to us, offered us a sincere apology on the assumption and surprised us by fixing our yard at no extra charge.

    new perimeter fence

This company was unreliable, and dishonest and dangerous. After telling me on 4 seperate occasions that they would be there at 9 am to do the job the following day, they finally showed up at 1 pm, removed the old fence and then disappeared for 4 days. With the old fence gone there was a true security risk as well as a steep staircase to the underground garage which was left exposed with no barrier to prevent passers-by from falling. During the next 2 weeks they would show up, work for a couple of hours and then leave. The office would call and say they would be there the next day and they never were. Getting them to finish the job was like pulling teeth. Finally it was finished and I was asked to pay the bill however no invoice was presented. This is a strata, invoice is necessary for the treasurer. After several phone calls I was assured that the invoice would be e mailed the next day. 5 days later they e mailed the original estimate, including a $500 adding mistake which I had pointed out to them. It is now 3 weeks later and they still can't get it together to send an invoice.
