    Move

    Ultimate Choice Movers was truly impressive in my recent move. I hired them for a very difficult move - two different pick-up locations for the furniture and then moving it all into a 3rd floor walk-up apartment with narrow stairs. Ultimate was fantastic the whole way through. Michelle, the owner, was friendly, helpful and professional from the beginning in setting up my move and answering my questions. The movers themselves were great. They came right on time and worked efficiently and effectively to do the move. They were clearly very experienced and did a great job of wrapping things up and being very careful in moving it in and out of tight spaces. They managed to get a couch up the stairs that, to this day, I have no idea how they fit up the stairwell. Equally as importantly, they were friendly and polite. Even after seeing the 3rd floor walk-up, they didn't complain. They just went about their business. I would definitely recommend them to a friend. In fact, I have another job I plan to hire them to do in the next 2 weeks. Thanks Michelle and team for making a very stressful day so easy.

    move

    Ultimate Movers were polite, flexible, fast and reasonably priced. And when their moving truck sprang an oil leak, they suggested and agreed to pay for a power washing company to clean my driveway.

    Moving

    "After checking with online sources (Home Stars & Better Business Bureau) we are glad that Ultimate Movers did our move. They live up to their name. They demostrated professionalism, reliability and punctuality. I recommend anyone to use this company for any job. "

    Moving

    I was quite shocked by the altitude that the owner had before and after the moving. She was warm and very helpful before I paid the money. I read the reviews on homestars, it seems that everything looked perfect. However, I have a few items broken during the moving, and I also paid extra money to cover $7000 worth of goods. All the items were listed on the insurance form. The after-moving conversations were totally different from the pre-moving conversations. The altitude I got is like black and white comparing to the time I had not signed the check. She said she sent me a letter and check, but I have never received anything from her. After a few weeks, she scanned a letter that she wrote (not the insurance company) saying that the items were not covered by insurance. I submitted the complaint through BBB, they are working on this issue right now. While I was talking to BBB, I found the rating for this company on BBB's website is 'B', and their rating starts from A+, A, A-, B+,B ... to F, I wish I knew the BBB rating before the moving, I would never use a service rated at B. A few colleagues sold and bought houses lately, they asked me about the moving service. I certainly would not recommend this company to them sicne I had such a bad experience with them. Although making money is your first priority, you should take full responsbility to the services you provide. You might save a few hundred dollars by not paying for the damage this time, but in the long run, the distrust from the customers will bring less business to you. Michelle, You were not honest about telling me sending me the mail and check, you threatened me after I wrote the review based on my own experience. I have attached the threat you made after I posted my review here.

Once again, if you were ready for your move, none of this would have happened.

    Pack & Move

    Thanks Home Stars for introducing Ultimate Movers to us. After reading a number of reviews about movers and hearing the horror stories, we can safely say that these people/company is very honest, trustworthy, reliable and professional. We received a quotation from Ultimate Movers and it feel within 10% of the estimated price which was a bonus. We did not get charged for anything other than what was listed on the contract. Michelle even changed some of the terms for us so that we could understand them clearer. I would recommmend Ultimate Movers to all the readers. They are not a scam company and do not hold your furniture hostage like some other movers or ask you to pay upfront. They take a lot of pride in their work. Great job guys, keep up the good work.

    Move from Etobicoke to Markham

    I originally thought this was a 2 bedroom move, but after I finished packing, I realized this was more than a 2 bedroom move !! And the driver Oliver had the same assessment, but him and his crew were cool about it and did the move without any complains. The only thing was the truck that they used (20 or 24 ft, can't remember which) couldn't fit all my stuff. And they had packed that truck solid !!! So I still have some stuff to move myself afterwards, so get your estimation right !! The movers service and attitude were absolutely outstanding A++++ !! - they brought along mats and runners to lay on the floors to minimize floor dirt and damage. - They had what seemed like an endless supply of furniture wrapping pads to wrap up all my furniture !! They also shrink wrapped up some stuff that I requested them to. - They took apart furniture and as they were moving them in to the new place, they helped us to put it all back together and to locate the furniture items as we thought about the layout. - We had a bulky Elliptical machine that we wanted moved to the basement and they worked very diligently to manoeuvre the piece around the stairs turn paying extra care as not to hit the walls. Overall, they were very careful about damage to my house. Although some minor damage is unavoidable, they took extra care to minimize it. - The 20 free boxes actually came to the rescue, as I originally thought I wouldn't need to use them at all. But I ended up using up all 20 boxes !!! - Customer service over the phone was also friendly and helpful. - The entire move took 8.5 hours including the travel time, and the guys worked very hard and efficiently the entire move. Although the drive was probably longer than necessary, but I should have drove in front of them to lead them to the new place instead of asking them to find their own way. Just a few minor things: - they did drop a few boxes and a small shelf that was damaged. But it wasn't a big deal. One of the boxes was my microwave, and it still seemed to work afterwards. - I didn't realize there was a 8% fuel surcharge. Overall, the entire experience with Ultimate Choice Movers was top notch !! From the over the phone contacts to the actual move, everything was smooth. With their incredibly professional attitudes and service, they were a big part of the reason why my move went so smoothly. I would definitely recommend these guys !! And in fact, my friend will be moving with them 1 week after me !!

    Keith showed up on time. Their office followed up with me without being pushy like the other moving companies that were trying to also quote the deal. I would use them again

    Moving

    When we decided to move back at the end of Feb of 2010, we knew moving would be the most difficult part of the whole experience. We could not co-ordinate the sale of our home with the purchase of the next one, so we had to put everything in storage. We did our research and heard nothing but 'great' reviews about Ultimate Choice Movers. I mean, the 3 guys sent to us were good, hard working guys: John, Mark, and Cody, worked very hard to help us get out of our old home in a timely manner. They took great care and attention with our possessions and we really appreciated that, but, it also helped that we had packed 90% of our items in advance. Unfortunately, there were a few problems which prevents me from giving this company a better, more stellar review. And that concerns our 2 refrigerators, our freezer and stove. Almost at the last minute we were told that they would NOT move these last 4 items, as per the "agreement". We were astonished because we did not take the time to read the agreement before hand nor were we alerted to this matter by Ultimate Choice Movers in the first place. I was pulled aside by the team leader John and told to pay $150 in cash (off the record) in order to complete our move because they don't move compressor based items. We were in a bind, and caught off guard; what could we do? I mean, it was bad enough that we had to go through the whole day but to get denied at the end of the whole experience because of our compressor based appliances? Does that sound right? Needless to say, I caved in. I paid the EXTRA $150 to have the appliances moved as well. A few hours later, I found out that the guys had been ogling my girlfriend the whole time they were working and made her feel quite uncomfortable as well. Which brings me to my final point and advice for people out there: Make sure you read the Moving Agreement from top to bottom. Be aware of the wording and if you have any pretty women in your family or in your midst, make sure they take the day off elsewhere. I was so livid by the compressor based items being refused and the fact that these 'boys' were ogling my girlfriend, that I am going to think more than 3 times before I recommend this company to ANYONE ELSE. If Ultimate Choice Movers wants a referral based on their workers work ethic then hey, they will get close to 5 out of 5 for that, no doubt. But the manipulation of their customers at the end of the day with respect to failing to disclose the bit about the compressor based items, plus the ogling of my girlfriend, brings their overall performance mark down to 6 out of 10.

I spoke to you about this and immediately refunded the money ($150.00)back to you that was given to John since it did not come back to our company, I did not agree with what was done. In our conversation I mentioned to you that we were totally not aware of this. This is very unacceptable behaviour and I can assure you or our other potential customers that this will never happen again. I have now inserted a clause in our contract to make customers aware of this. I hope that you understand, Mr. Pres, we as a company (contract wise) did not withhold any information from you. I am glad that you took the time to speak with me and understand our sincere apologies for this and any bad feelings we may have left with you or your family.     house contents movers

    We have used UCM four time during the past 3 years. They have been patient and understanding with our many questions on cost, dates, postponements, discounts, and in general why we should use Ultimate Choice movers as opposed to other firms. Their service team arrive on time to pack up the contents, they do not break anything, and they deliver to our new home the same way. I deal with the owner, michelle, and she is great!We will certainly use UCM again, possibly very soon!

    Move from house to rental and storage

    The move crew were polite and worked hard the whole move. I was impressed with this company from start to finish. We plan on using them again for the next move. Price was fair and the service exceptional. Thanks.
