I called Alliance floor source based on their excellent reviews on homestars.com. Lehel was very nice on phone and he was very knowledgeable also when he came to measure our place. Then after paying the deposit money, I don't know what happened but their service became extremely poor. Firstly, the guy who said he would call us with a date (Deni), never called us back and we kept waiting for weeks. Then I had to call them repeatedly and beg them for a date. Then finally they gave me a date, but cancelled it the day before! I don't know if you work full time or live in a condo but if you do, you know how much coordination is required from your behalf to keep these dates free! Anyways, laminate got installed, product is very good quality, but the transition they gave was not matching to floor. They also missed 1 transition. The installers did not answer questions adequately. They did not caulk the gap between the floor and wall, saying thats not their job and we have to get a painter to caulk the floor! Timea (the owner) said someone will come to our condo to take a look and install the transition but still no one has come. We paid the entire amount as they quoted, and it's been 8 weeks after the installation, and still we are missing two transitions. Once you sign the papers and pay the deposit, their quality of service just dropped. I'm very disappointed because seeing the reviews I had set high expectations that simply was not met.

After several visits to Alliance, I decided to have them install cork flooring in 3 rooms at the condo I was moving into. This was due to Timea always being very patient, friendly and helpful. Lehel, Rudy and their staff completed the job professionally, were most punctual and adhered to the limiting time frame I had to work with. What I also appreciated was the breakdown of costs that Timea gave me, so that there were no hidden surprises. All in all, Alliance is an excellent company that I would recommend highly.

Owners Lehel and Timea are friendly and very knowledgeable about the products they carry. They answered many questions and directed us to what would best suit our needs, budget and taste. Timea went out of her way to contact us about a newly arrived product that she thought we would like (and she was right!). Excellent service, would recommend.

We replaced our hardwood floors in our 90 year old house in Toronto. Lehel made the entire process a pleasure. Not only is he personable, but he helped us make great decisions that transformed our ground floor. Service was on time, on budget and beautifully done. We also went to them after the fact to take care of an additional detail and they took care of it free of charge. Would definitely recommend Alliance to others!

We hired Alliance Floor Source to install new laminate flooring in our living/dinig room and 2 bedrooms. We are very happy with their services, the job was completed as promised, and now we have a beautiful new floor. Thank you!

From start to finish our project was handled professionally. Timea helped us choose a hardwood and has an excellent relationship with the supplier of the oiled floors we were interested in. All our questions about our product were attended to both before our purchase and after the installation. The installers were on time, neat, and genuinely cared that the job was done right. Their skill level seemed very high. We would like to thank Lehel and Timea for their excellent customer service and expertise.

Lehel & Timea at Alliance offer quality service pleasantly along with itemized billing & honest pricing. They answer queries, return phone calls & emails. It is a pleasure to work with them. I'm happy with my carpet for the stairs. Sam, the installer did a professional job with the installation. But I did have to vacuum the stairs 3 times to get it to look loose pile & debris free. I guess this is par for the course with a pile carpet install. The only concern I have is about the durability of the new underpads used which have a different feel from the ones I had before even though I was assured of their quality. Time will tell. Overall, it was a hassle free & pleasant experience to work with Alliance for my flooring project.

As with most others, I found Alliance on Homestars through googling. My experience started with Denis, who was part-time with Alliance, while Lehel and Timea was away on vacation. He was extremely helpful throughout my selection process. It was difficult because my builder used custom ordered products which meant I could not find something similar(it was for stacked pattern). He identified the current trends and gave me insight on directions, width, and the whole 9 yard. When Lehel and Timea returned, I was handed over to them for the rest of the journey - a very pleasant one. Mind you my job was not a very big one, approximately 200 sq. ft, but I was bugging them all along the way. Despite them being immensely busy, Timea always made time to ensure that all my questions were answered and that I was accommodated to my schedule. Their was minor hiccups along the way, but overall very smooth. Most importantly, the final product was beautiful, I could not ask for a better job. I already recommended them to my parents for their next job.

Much like the other folks here, I found Alliance Floor Source through an internet search which led me to Homestars. The numerous positive reviews here were definitely pivotal in my decision to visit the store. Initially, I was unsure about products or the process involved in having flooring installed especially given that I inhabit the condo where the work needed to be done. On my initial visit to the store Timea was absolutely fantastic and spent a great deal of time showing me various products, explaining the installation process and helping me choose the right flooring for my situation. The installation went smoothly, was completed on schedule and I am extremely satisfied with the results. It is evident that both Lehel and Timea take great pride in their work and it certainly reflects in their enthusiasm and commitment to customer service. I would definitely use Alliance again and would also wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone who is looking to have flooring installed.

Fantastic selection of floors and knowledgeable people. The lady at the store took the time to explain the different hardwood floor options that suited our needs. We had a wonderful experience with Alliance and we love our new floors!
