I had seen Alpine trucks doing roofing jobs around my area, so I contacted them through a free estimate request feature on their website back in October. Within a day I had received a call and email from Joe asking to set up a time for a visit. At that point I already had two other reasonable quotes, so I let Joe know it may not be worth his time. Joe came anyway and managed to convince me to give him the job. His quote was competitive, I liked the payment options and the fact that they could squeeze me in within a few days (I had an emergency roof leak situation). The crew showed up early and worked almost non-stop for about 10+ hours to remove and replace the shingles. Flashing was done by a couple guys the next day and the finished product looked incredible - my 30 year old house looks like a new build. Great all-around experience. Thanks Alpine!

** UPDATE: After my less than stellar review of Alpine's follow-up on this site, Mimi contacted me to try to make things right. Initially I was very reluctant to trust that the company would do a good job after my previous run around with them but he persuaded me to give them another chance. The roofer, Curtis, turned up on schedule and worked very hard on my roof in freezing cold weather. He & his helper took all day to carefully remove our old chimney and cover it with board, membrane & shingles. Curtis was a great communicator and let me know what he was doing every step of the way. They returned the next day to replace the ridge vents and the stack flashing. The clean-up was pretty good. I was impressed with Curtis - he was polite, friendly & professional. Mimi also stopped by to ensure that I was happy with the quality of the work this time. I have changed my original rating from 3 stars to a 7 as Mimi really went out of his way to ensure I was satisfied. ** Alpine redid our entire roof 11 years ago. Originally we were satisfied - the crew came when they were supposed to, worked for the entire day until well after dark & returned the next day to finish off and clean up. Initially the roof held up but we started to experience some leaks and we discovered that the work had been mediocre at best. However after a rocky follow-up Mimi has redeemed my opinion of Alpine. A big thank you to Mimi and Curtis.

Have had annoying leaking corners ever since I moved in. Called a few company and after talking to John, I choose Alpine Roofing as John, was very quick and professional with his approach to the issue presented. They repaired the leaks and rerouted the downspouts in the time frame promised. Very happy with the outcome and will hire them again for any roofing related issues.

My 15-year-old house needed new shingles and after researching online and talking with friends and other homeowners in our neighbourhood, we decided to get a quote from Alpine Roofing as we had heard and read good things about this contractor. We were particularly comprehensive about hiring a fly-by-night contractor who might disappear or change their names from season to season. Alpine Roofing has been in the business for decades and has an excellent reputation, which gave us the peace of mind that they would stand behind their workmanship for years to come. The project estimator, John, listened to our needs and was respectful of our budget when providing his detailed estimate for the work. The quote outlined every detail of the work to minimize surprises. We had a number of clarifications and details that we wanted to add to the quote, and John was very quick with providing an explanation and having the quote revised. We were extremely happy with the promptness and his patience in answering all of our questions and addressing all of our concerns. The final quote was not the cheapest, compared with other contractors, but it was also not the most expensive. What did set Alpine Roofing apart from the rest was communication and response time. Having hired contractors in the past for other home renovation projects, the key was not necessarily getting a good price, but to engage a contractor who is available and willing to listen to our concerns at every step of the project. And John did not disappoint. After signing off on the final quote, the material was delivered promptly, and the crew began work as promised by John. During the installation of the shingles, John remained in communication and was accessible by phone, text message or email, even outside of business hours. Any concerns we had was promptly conveyed to the foreman on-site. Any issues were addressed to our satisfaction right away. John even came by the house personally when his input was needed. With every home renovation projects, a few hiccups are expected along the way. John was always very accommodating with our input and concerns, and he was very receptive to our needs. He understood and shared the same goal as us, which was to have the project completed to our satisfaction. I’m very glad to have hired Alpine Roofing for our shingle replacement needs. John earned our trust and we highly recommend him and Alpine Roofing to anyone looking for a reputable, dependable roofer.

He was very concerned that we be happy with the job and corrected the usually-to-be-expected little issues extremely quickly. We had 6 estimates but ultimately chose Apline Roofing because they have the product, the track record of customer satisfaction, and Terry!

Very professional from the visit for a quote, through installation and follow up. Actually sent someone on a Saturday to inspect the installation done the day before.. The crew, 2 Georges, were amazing. My neighbor and I did the replacement at the same time and they had excellent suggestions for minor issues that came up during the install and consulted with us. Used Alpine Roofing in the past for roof replacement and would not hesitate to use this company again. Alpine is working hard to hold roofing companies to a higher standard.

RE-SHINGLING OF ONE CAR CARPORT: HAD A FEW ESTIMATES DONE, VARIED GREATLY, DECIDED ON ALPINE. ALL THE NAILING WAS DONE BY HAND, NOT WITH A NAILING GUN, THIS WAS IMPORTANT, AS IT'S AN OLDER HOUSE. VERY PLEASED WITH THE WORK THEY COMPLETED. ROOFERS WERE POLITE AND COURTIOUS. CLEANED UP THOROUGHLY AFTER FINISHING. ORIGINAL ESTIMATE WAS RESPECTED AND UNCHANGED. HIGHLY RECOMENDED.

In early June, I used Alpine Roofing to install a two-ply, modified bitumen torch down roof on a residential flat roof, replacing an existing EPDM roofing system. In the same contract, Alpine also re-shingled the southern face of the mansard portion of the same roof. I have used Alpine multiple times before for shingle jobs to my great satisfaction, but this was the first time I've used them for a flat roof. Like my feelings about their prior work, I am very happy with the work. Here is my assessment of the job: 1) Quoting Process: Showed up on time. Listened to my concerns and addressed them openly and honestly and made sure they were represented in the contract. As an example, my old roof pooled water and I wanted to ensure the new installation did not make that mistake. The roof needed to be sloped in a particular way, ensuring water also ran away from a central roof vent. There has been a rain storm since installation and I verified that the water ran off the roof and into the trough system. Very happy. 2) Contract: Easy to understand and adjusted to address how I wanted the roof done (after company guidance of best options for my roof specifically). 3) Installation: Alpine showed up on time. They were prepared to address any complication that arose and satisfied any concern I expressed. Their work was professional and they were always prepared to ensure the roof was being done to my satisfaction. The team worked efficiently together with meticulous attention to detail. 4) Safety: Alpine provided proof of insurance (General, WSIB and Work-at-heights). They tied off ladders and supports, built a temporary fence around the flat roof and kept the site (roof and ground) clean and free of debris. They did a general site clean up after the job, removing any debris that fell to the ground (nails and such) 5) Corporate follow-up: Alpine sent their own inspector during the job to review work-in-process and ensure everything was on track. The Company also followed up after the job to determine if I was satisfied. I think these are all the signs of a professional organization that cares about not only doing a quality job, but ensuring their customers are happy and satisfied. Once again, Alpine has exceeded my expectations and I would not hesitate to recommend them for prospective flat roof and shingle roof installations.
