While staying at a lovely 'boutique' hotel in Capetown this spring, I was prompted to take this time to recommend the workmanship of Blue Ocean Construction Inc., a Service Provider for Home Depot Installations. My initial delight that the bathroom at the hotel was so similar to my recently renovated ensuite evaporated quickly when I discovered what a difference the workmanship makes. Upon returning home (North Vancouver), I have greater appreciation for a tile floor laid perfectly, and the pot lights providing perfect illumination and the so many details that result in the desired finished product. I love my new ensuite, where maximum use is made of the small space available. For example, the corner seat was constructed in the corner of the shower for my convenience. Thanks Paul and hi to everyone. Really appreciated their helpfulness and positive attitude. And of course I would be remiss in not mentioning Chanelle Nicol, Abodio Interior Consulting & Design (604) 980-9622, www.abodiointeriors.com. She provided invaluable consultation during the process. Hi Randy, Thank you so much for the terrific job you and your team did re-painting my deck. I have to say that I was extremely impressed with the work ethic, attitude, and commitment to customer service given that this was the second time the deck had to be painted. You certainly stand by your one year warranty, you did not cut any corners, and did not stop until the job was done and was done perfectly. Any company, no matter what product or service it provides, can only excel by having great people. You exemplify the greatest strength of any great company. Blue Ocean was the general contractor for a complete basement renovation for us. The project was organized, exceptionally done and on time. Everyone involved worked courteously and with great care to ensure our satisfaction. We couldn't be happier with the results! We would definitely recommend Mike and his team to our friends!

This is to let you know how very satisfied I am with the completion of my bathroom/toilet renovations. I found Daniel Nowak's calm, professional guidance during this renovation, invaluable. The way Daniel was able to guide me through optimum component selection influenced by his experiences, was inestimable. The way Daniel was concerned about my satisfaction as the project progressed, was refreshing. Daniel addressed any of my concerns right there, rather than just leave such concerns to be addressed at the completion. The craftsmanship shown by the site installers - Chris, Andy, and Gregg the tiler, has resulted in a showpiece install. While Leigh - in your office was able to address my concerns at one stage, which was just what i needed at the time. This was my first renovation project when I have not just handed over the equipment delivery and install to a contractor. Bathtub replacement through the Home Depot Bathroom Renovation Program. Steve Virag was my project manager. "I am very pleased with all work and site clean-up. I would use contractor again."

Our bathroom was over 18 years old and needed a major facelift. Our BOC Construction Manager Ben helped us decide on fixtures and finishes. During construction Ben kept us updated on the progress. Once completed we were absolutely elated with the results. We now have a beautiful bathroom that we show our guests. We will most certainly recommend BOC and Ben to anyone that is seeking a reliable, trustworthy and professional construction company.

In 2006 Blue Ocean Construction Inc. built a new home for our family. We were included every step of the way from choosing the layout, picking products, right down to the finishing details. Their team took a great deal of care and consideration helping us by managing the project and building a home that we continue to enjoy.

We are in the process of our 2nd renovation project completed by Michael and Karl and are very pleased with their quality high level of detail that goes into their work.. We had our ensuite bathroom renovation completed in the July and have now signed on with them to renovate the large main bathroom of our home.

I write this letter to recommend Blue Ocean Construction Inc. as a general contractor. For my renovations in late 2012/early 2013, I was assigned Paul Zydowicz (Paul) of Blue Ocean Construction Inc. to oversee my renovation project. My project consisted of renovations to my entire kitchen, guest bathroom, master bathroom, den and all the flooring throughout the apartment. I highly recommend Paul for home renovations. Throughout the course of the renovations, Paul kept me updated with the progress. He was always readily available to answer questions and even if I couldn’t reach him by phone or email right away, he always gets back to me as soon as he can, usually within hours. If I had any concerns, he would take the time to explain the matter to me and put all my worries to rest. Paul was also quite accurate in his estimate of the cost of my project as the ultimate invoiced amount was fairly similar to the initial estimate. The trade’s persons that Paul chose were overall quite skilled in their area of expertise though some of the tradespersons’ handiwork/craftsmanship was comparatively better than others. Most importantly, with so many tradespersons working at the same time and the need for certain tasks to be done in chronological order, Paul managed the timing of the tasks and the trade’s persons very well. In particular, Paul’s site manager, Sal is highly commendable. When Paul is not available on site, Sal would be there and he is equally praise worthy in being able to manage all the trades’ persons effectively and efficiently. Both Paul and Sal took care to clean up the parts of the apartment when the renovations to those parts of the apartments were done. They also took special care in cleaning up after themselves when they leave the site and not any dirt or dust trail outside the apartment to the common areas of the building. Paul and Sal have also corresponded with the strata management company to coordinate jobs where the property manager has to be involved. The strata management company has been kept up to date with the operations and any concerns they had were addressed by Paul and Sal. Going through renovations for the first time, it was quite worrisome naturally but Paul managed to make the process as tolerable and smooth as possible. I truly believe that any renovation project will have a hiccup here and a delay there but any issues that suddenly came up, Paul is right on it to find a solution. Due to small scheduling problems with the trades persons, materials providers and various other parties involved, my project took a little longer to complete but all the delays were reasonable and not within the control of Paul. Although my project took a little longer to complete, Paul ensured that the renovations were done as efficiently as possible and that they were done right. In my opinion, the delays were well worth it to have my renovations done properly. My renovations may have been another project to them but they have given me a wonderful home that I will continue to enjoy and adore for many years to come. Sincerely, Serene Chow
