Gate repair
I contacted cedar coast fence because my gate had come detached from the house siding. Nick responded right away and offered to come out the next day. He said if the repair was just a simply replacement of screws then he wouldn’t charge and would come between jobs in his spare time. Nick showed up and fixed my gate! He wouldn’t accept any cash from me but he did agree to accept a cookie! :) I will keep this company in mind for any future projects I might have and will pass along this business to friends I know who need this service. Thanks again!

Fence
Nick was easy to deal with, and the fence ended up looking fantastic! I'd be happy to recommend him to anyone. The work was done efficiently, and with minimal disruption.

New Fence and retaining wall
I used this site as a reference to having our old cedar fence replaced. Nick is busy but got back to us and gave us a fair quote. The work he did, as others have said, is real quality. He managed to creatively work around some maturing trees that had impacted the old fence, pushing it aside. Built up a retaining wall to control soil that was also pushing the old fence aside. We had another fence that wasn't too bad, but after seeing the work Nick did, we have contracted him to replace it as well. Couldn't recommend Nick or his work highly enough

Out of 10 - I give Nick 15! He was an amazing find - from removing my old deck to building my new one - all done in a timely, professional and cost effective way. It was Nick's deck that assisted in the sale of my house! 100% recommendation!!!!!

Fast, honest, solid work: fence
Nick built our deck a few years ago, so when our fence started failing under the weight of masses of ivy, I knew who to call. Nick is in high demand, so it was a while before he got back to me, but I wasn't in a hurry and I wanted quality work. He estimated the cost for the 80 foot fence, including posts, and then sent Chris over to do the work. Chris was a little appalled at the amount of ivy, but he put his earbuds in and tackled it like a pro. Nick stuck to his quote and removed it all. Chris worked amazingly fast and had the fence done in less than 2 days once the ivy was cleared, even in a torrential downpour. It looks great, we are happy, our neighbour is happy, and Nick even came in UNDER his quote...who does that? An honest guy. Hire Cedar Coast and you won't go wrong.

Fence and deck
They removed an old deck, fence and garden debris and built a new cedar deck and cedar fence. They stained both the deck and the fence and each turned out beautifully. Chris provided excellent, friendly service and his finished products were very high quality. Chris showed up on weekends to finish the work as needed. Reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

Just have to say we are so happy to have chosen Cedar Coast their workmanship is top notch and the quality of materials are excellent. We have so many people commenting about how great it looks and we couldn't be happier.

New Deck and New Fence
Contrary to popular advice, we did not get 3 estimates from different companies prior to hiring Cedar Coast Fence to do our project. After reading all the positive reviews, we knew Cedar Coast Fence was the company we wanted to use. Nick Sheppard (owner) is a professional who can custom build any deck or fence for you, using top quality workmanship and materials. Nick is honest, hardworking and amenable to questions and concerns. He is a true craftsman, has years of building knowledge and experience and great attention to detail. There was no deposit required to start the project and Nick likes to do one project at a time. Our new deck and new fence looks great, so sturdy and strong. We feel very fortunate that we discovered Cedar Coast Fence and that Nick was available to build us our deck and fence.

Shared Fence with Gate
My neighbour and I got separate quotes from four contractors who had on-line web sites and independent reviews. We selected Cedar Coast (Nick) based on price, quality and service. The price was the lowest but, at least equally important, he offered quality workmanship (e.g. concrete footings, stainless steel screws not nail guns, etc.) and he also offered to pre-stain the fence for an additional fee. Chris did most of the work. I try to be accurate in my reviews because I depend on those of others to make important decisions. That said, I have no hesitation in recommending Nick for a similar project. The work was completed as promised. The stain was an estimated extra and Nick was able to do it for less than the estimate which was a pleasant surprise and a testament to his honesty. We opted for an upgraded gate with a decorative insert and are very pleased with the finished product. Chris and Nick obviously take pride in their work and I thank them for their service.

Deck
We are so pleased we contacted Nick to request a quote for a new deck. Not only did we get a very reasonable quote, Nick gave us suggestions on the best layout to suit our needs and also our house. The workmanship is second to none, and the finished product is exactly what we wanted. Along with building the new deck, Nick also dismantled our old deck and removed all the waste materials. We also requested a roof for the deck which Nick tied in expertly with the existing house structure, thus allowing us to have the use of the deck year round. We now have an 'extra room' to our house and this has added extra value to our property. Overall, we would highly recommend Cedar Coast Fence Ltd. to anyone!
