    Fence

    Nick's work is outstanding in every respect. Thanks to his artistry, we now have the most beautiful fence in the neighborhood. The quality, durability, and skill are amply visible; the fence looks built to last for decades. We wanted the best, and definitely got it. Nick's work speaks for itself; as it turned out, Nick is also a great diplomat, and was able to build the fence under adverse conditions. We wanted the fence entirely on our property, so we commissioned a survey and engaged Nick for the work. On the very first day he was approached by a furious neighbor who wasn't happy that the fence was being built. Nick dealt with the situation with admirable calmness and smoothed things over, so that the build could proceed in the most professional and courteous way possible. Thank you, Nick for negotiating a tricky situation on our behalf!

    DECK

    Cedar is very expensive these days but Nick made it worth the cost by building a beautiful deck. His workmanship is simply superb and we could not be more happy with the result. He also built us two new benches to replace those that were falling apart and sanded and stained our old cedar table so that they beautifully complement our new deck. He also helped us with other issues with our downspouts and garage. Nick is so easy to work with; he had built a fence for us ten years ago so I was confident he would do a great job with the deck and he did.

    Fence

    We hired Cedar Fence and Nick Sheppard to remove some old rotten fences in our back yard and replace it with new cedar fencing. Nick and his crew were fantastic. They were on time and budget and working extremely hard. I would highly recommend them and will 100% use them in future. Thank you!

    Fencing and gates

    I had custom cedar fencing including two large carport gates with powder coated frames done in 2015. Nick and Chris knocked it out of the park! Amazing high quality work. If you want your home to stand-out, and make your neighbours jealous- call Cedar Coast. On time, efficient, and within budget. The crew couldnt have been nicer. Edit: 2023 and the fence still looks new. Couldnt be happier.

    Deck Build

    We hired Nick to build us a great deck that would be level to our house in our backyard as we currently just had a cement slab and then a couple stairs down. From estimate to timeline to final product, we were one hundred percent satisfied. The quality of the workmanship is incredible and it's made such a huge difference on how me and my young family can enjoy our backyard space. I went to a few companies for estimates and found Cedar Coast to be very reasonable and most importantly very professional. Nick is a good communicator and executed exactly the vision that we had for our dream deck. I would absolutely hire Cedar Coast to work with us again. Pictures attached show before and after.

    Decks and stairs

    We couldn't be more pleased with the results of our beautiful new deck. The materials used for our job were of the highest quality and what was once an eye sore is now one of the finest features of our home. Nick is a true craftsman, and pays great attention to detail. Nick cares about the work he does and the finished product shows it. The deck turned out so well, we had Nick return and build a beautiful 2 tiered stairway to an upper yard area. It is now the focal point of our yard. We highly recommend Nick!

    Fence and Retaining Wall

    Nick sent Chris out to estimate and build my retaining wall and fence. I am very happy with the project. Chris is a cerebral builder and respects the property he works on. Everything done more than standard. Examples are fence posts dug in 3ft into ground and retaining wall fence posts dug in 4ft deep. My fence and posts are laser straight and all accurately within the measurements of property lines discussed for build. I would not hesitate to ask Chris out again for another project.

    Backyard Fence

    We needed to take down and replace an old area of fencing in our backyard. We went with Nick because of his great rating and reviews on HomeStars and we're glad we did. It was one of the smoothest interactions we've ever had with a contractor. Nick was professional, quick to respond, provided a quote which was bang on to the penny, and within two weeks of contact we had our beautiful fence installed without any issues. Nick and his crew were clean, easy to work with, and quickly fixed a small issue we had with a obstructed drain filter. Would definitely use Nick again if we need anymore fence work done.

    Fence, entire yard

    Nick and his crew were very professional to deal with and did a fantastic job on the fence. We had other quotes that were about the same for lesser pre-fab product. The custom fence we got seems bomb-proof and looks great. Very satisfied.

    Beautiful Fence!

    Nick and his crew did a fence for me 7 years ago - he came back and built one more customized than my first. The quality out does his competitors, price is comparable, but service is what will win every time. It was so nice he even took pictures of it.... I have small kids and his crew interacted with them in a fun, polite-full way. No concerns about safety....these guys are professional and personable all the way! Steve - North Burnaby, BC
