    Home Inspection

    We received Brent's referral from another friend of ours who had just purchased a home. Brent was prompt and on time, and took care explaining to my husband throughout the inspection all the things to look out or needed to be replaced in the next 3-5 years. He also went up to the roof and attic which we hear not a lot of inspectors do in the winter time. Brent found something in the attic which we took back to the previous owners, and we were grateful for his expertise and patience.

    Home Inspection

    Brent did a great and thorough job with the inspection and it was entirely accurate as 5 months afterwards, we're in this house with no surprises in terms of things that need to be fixed. He helped us make an informed decision on whether we should buy the place and also provided suggestions in terms of rough estimates on the things that needed to be fixed and how much those things would cost. His report was thorough as well. I highly recommend Brent if you need a home inspection.

    Home inspection

    I never had a great experience with home inspector in the past however Brent changed the perception on the inspectors for me. He is careful, thorough, honest and friendly. He takes his time to check the house like if it was his. I would not hesitate a second to hire him as an inspector again.

I will admit, I do personally find my industry does have its fair share of questionable inspectors out there. Some of the stuff people tell me with what their previous inspector missed and I'm like, “yikes”, and I'm speechless. Many inspectors do love to play the "lame excuse as to why they didn't inspect that" card. Nonetheless, I am glad that you were happy with me!     Home Inspection

    I hired Brent to do a home inspection on a newly built townhouse, and I am extremely happy with the service he provided. He found several issues that we would have never noticed ourselves, or would have never known that we can ask the builder to change. He was very knowledgeable and professional, and seemed very honest. Since moving into a newly built house, I realized that 'new' doesn't mean 'perfect', by a long stretch. Brent's inspection did wonders to lift our anxieties. He didn't just show us the areas that will need to be fixed (not too many thank goodness!), but also helped us understand what is normal and what we can reasonably demand from the builder (i.e. how not to get bullied!). His service is worth every penny!

I think most people hire me when they have a new home just for the reassuring that the home is okay. Yes, in so many cases it is. However, with homes being built the way that they are nowadays you just wouldn’t believe the things I will find. I remember going into a newly built home last week and some of the water waste lines were not even connected. They just emptied in the basement. Good work guys!     Pre-Bid Home Inspection

    First of all, Brent is a professional. He answers his own phone. He is polite. He is honest. He is prompt. He is very knowledgeable. He gets right to work. And he genuinely wants you to be satisfied with his work. My wife and I needed a house inspection performed to reassure ourselves before we put an offer on our recent house purchase. Brent came to the house, went up on the roof (!), into the attic tested all plumbing, electrical outlets and went all over the house. Not only did he perform a thorough inspection, but reviewed his findings, gave us the report/booklet on his findings PLUS gave us the 80 pictures that he took. He gave us some great advice how to address some minor improvements in insulation and other reno tips. My wife and I would highly recommend Brent to anyone who needs peace of mind before they put an offer on a house. There is no need to spend twice as much for half of the service. Brent is the real deal. Thanks Homestars!

    Home Inspection

    I found Brent from Home Stars. He is very patient and helpful. He answered all my 'weird' questions and also explained all the important stuff that you need know about your future home. After the home inspections, I still turned to Brent a few times and he is always very glad to help.

    Home Inspection

    Hello potential home buyers out there. If you're anything like me the experience of buying your first home will feel equally exciting and nerve wrecking. My main goal was to find a good sound home. No one wants an expensive lemon! Brent was referred to me by a friend but before booking him I read his reviews. He is highly rated with good reason. I found him to be honest, experienced, knowledgeable, thorough and easy to talk to. He is impartial not siding with either the selling nor buying agent. Most importantly, It felt like he truly cared about me his client. He took a long time and didn't rush his assessment. Now I too join the bunch who have no qualms highly recommending him.

    Home inspection

    Brent inspected an older home I had purchased. He was knowledgable, thorough, professional and very engaging. He took his time to answer our questions and explain many details of the home including money saving tips for future improvements. The experience was valuable and very enjoyable!

    home inspection

    Based on the reviews on homestars, I called Brent just the day before the inspection. He is very friendly, came on time, and very knowledgeable. He spent the most time in areas which needed most attention which in my case was the basement, he looked at every inch of the basement, saw stuff I did not see. I highly recommend Brent and will use him in the future. Thanks!

    Home Inspection

    I strongly recommend hiring Brent for your home inspection. We first found Brent on Homestars.com and have used his services twice before (once for a 3yr old home in Markham in Sep/10 and once for a 8yr old home in Toronto in Oct/13). Brent is not only very friendly and knowledgeable but also very professional (eg. arrived early at the site). He is also very thorough, so much so that you'd think he was buying the home for himself! In his report, he pointed out several minor repairs and preventative fixes. His level of thoroughness gives me a lot of comfort and confidence before buying a house. He took 100+ photos during the inspection, which he provided along with the inspection report that same night. In addition, Brent is extremely patient and took the time to answer all our questions (in person and via email) -- this is invaluable when you are a first-time home buyer or if you are not handy like me. Further, Brent will not hesitate to go the extra mile for his clients. For example, a few of the shingles was missing from the roof (likely blown off by strong wind). Brent came back another day to replace the shingles at no charge. I know this was a easy fix if you know how to do it, but it was very kind of him to offer. In all, I cannot say enough good things about Brent. We were all very impressed by Brent's service and knowledge, including my real estate agent who has worked with many other home inspectors in the past.
