    Heating & return air ducts

The heating distribution in our 3 storey century home left alot to be desired & we were having to use portable heaters in various areas when the cold outside temperatures dropped very low. Lou came & assessed the situation, made various recommendations to improve the antiquated distribution without having to renovate completely & we are now experiencing much better heat esp. on our 2nd & 3rd floor. I highly recommend Lou, his years of experience proved invaluable & he was professional, personable & reliable. Along with his brother Marino & another worker the work was completed beautifully in less than a day making us very happy clients. Don't hesitate to call Lou...you won't be sorry!

Gas line moving and sheet metal

I can't say anything bad about Lou. Fantastic, personal, trusted service. Great quality of work and attention to detail. They moved a ton of gas lines and fixed some duct work in 4 hours. His quote was fair and his craftsmanship was superb. I would recommend them to anyone.

    HVAC Custom Renovation Installation

Lou and Marino and the team came to my home to install a custom duct system in the basement. My century home required a new duct system overhaul and Lou met the challenge head on. They are truly experts and specialist in the work they do. They were able to complete a full custom duct install in one day which gave me more headroom in my basement. With this new system my home is transformed and is now heated throughout and I have more living space in my bedroom. I would strongly recommend Lou and Marino because they are one of the few remaining HVAC specialist in the city that are able to make custom solutions to fit your home. A++ service and the price was better than any other quote I received. Call them with confidence. 10/10

    Furnace,A/C and Humidifier

Both Lou and Marino were attentive and courteous in dealing with furnace and a/c problems that occured. Lou was patient, understanding and put any concerns that came up to ease. Lou checked/cleaned the humidifier and hepa filters. Marino was attentive to detail when checking and cleaning the furnace and the burners. All in all, a wonderful and interesting learning experience, from two guys with more than 30 years in the field. Thanx, double thanx.

Move ac unit, move wall heating vents to floor for bettrer heasting and cooling

Getting ready to have my house waterproofed and also wanting to move my old 1950's heating and ac vents from the bottom of my walls to the floor like in newer homes, I googled duct work in Toronto and Dave White Heating &Sheet Metal came up, and low and behold they had positive reviews on homestars. I called up the ph number and spoke to Lou. What a friendly man. We teed up a time and he came just before the waterproofers were to begin work outside our house. He had the ac unit disconnected in a jiffy and off to the garage it went . A week later Lou and his brother Marino came and moved all our main floor supply vents off the walls and into the floor in front of our windows on the main level, and they moved our ducts around in ceiling of basement. These guys r great at what they do. it's next to impossible to find duct work people, and especially hard to find them as friendly and honest as Lou and his brother Marino.

Main Duct Replacement, new ducts to heat basement & living room

Lou Aretusi is a gentleman among contractors. In February we realized that our new home, built in 1927, had very poor heating to the second floor, so that the ground floor would be toasty warm while the upstairs was quite cool. As another reviewer said, it's hard to find someone who specializes in sheet metal work, but we found Dave White Heating on Home Stars and what a wonderful find that was. Lou came in and took a very close look at the existing duct system in the unfinished basement, answered about a million questions, was never rushed, provided some very helpful suggestions, then provided a clear and very detailed written quote that broke down in meticulous detail the different components of the work to be done and the prices. Everything we had discussed - up to the diameter of the different ducts - was there in the quote (it is by far the most detailed quote we have gotten, in 15 months of dealing with different contractors.) Lou really knows his business, and is exceptionally patient and congenial - he always answers his phone himself and is happy to answer questions. Ultimately, we replaced the main supply duct that services the whole house with a larger one, as well as four branch ducts that serviced the basement and upstairs, perhaps 60% of the ducts in our tiny home. We also installed two new ducts into the living room on the ground floor. Lou and his brother Marino performed the work in one day, and what efficient, cheerful, hard-working and professional gentlemen. Add to that list complete honesty, integrity, forthrightness, and beautifully executed workmanship and you'll understand why I say that if all contractors were like Lou, there would be no Holmes on Homes. (As a final note - the house is now toasty warm from top to bottom. This was a huge improvement for a very reasonable price!) A++

    Duct work

I have a 100 year old house with lath and plaster walls. I also had a furnace that looked like an octopus and ducts coming off everywhere with insufficient flow. After searching on Homestars for a sheet metal expert (not easy to find) I came across Dave White heating and sheet metal. Lou came out to do a quote, identified a few issues to me with the duct lines, he was quite knowledgeable and didn't try to sell me a furnace (that I don't need as the current one is working just fine). After rerouting some plumbing Lou and his team came in (January 2013), fixed majority of my heat ducts in the basement along with adding a second duct line to my master bedroom. They were efficient and tidy. The price was reasonable, and I'm now looking into the other recommendations Lou made to help improve the heating with in my really old house.

    Replaced Furnace

Dave White Heating quickly came to our house when our original furnace failed. The weather was chilly, so they made a point of making our job a priority. While they were here, they also fixed a part on our Central Air Conditioner. A very honest reliable team!

    Furnace replacement

Great service. Very friendly and professional. I was told to give Lou a call when I mentioned to a co-worker that I needed to replace my furnace. Referrals are always a great start and Lou and his brother Marino did not disappoint. He was very professional and took the time to explain exactly what needed to be done to replace my 22 year old mid efficiency system with a new high efficiency system that needed some extra piping. Lou and Marino were prompt and courteous on the day of the installation, which happened to be on one of the coldest days of the year (remember -38). I would recommend these guys in a heartbeat.
