I am very satisfied with the service and customer care that we receive. The maintenance reps are always courteous and knowledgeable. If I need to phone with a question, I always find them professional and willing to take the time to serve the customer to the best of their ability.

    Furnace inspection

I had my furnace inspected, as I have every year. An Enercare technician told me I had a huge problem on my hands that would cost a bundle to fix but if I sign up for a protection plan right away it won't cost me anything. So I did but I was still flagged and told another technician will come the next day to fix the problem. Another technician told me everything was good and working properly. (I guess by scaring people you may have them sign up for services they don't really need). Buyer beware!

    Furnace and AC unit maintenance

I do not recommend using Enercare to do maintenance on residential furnaces and AC units. We had maintenance done on our furnace and air conditioner this past week and we are very disappointed with the service we received. Having just moved into a new house, we were getting a few things checked out, including having a reputable gas/fireplace company doing work on our gas fireplaces. They required access to the furnace to temporarily turn off the gas, and they were concerned after identifying two major issues with our furnace. The first one being that the heat exchanger was installed in the back and not the side of the furnace (which is not in compliance with most furnace manufacturer’s requirements and therefore building codes). They advised us that this could cause serious overheating to the furnace in the future and will require repairs. The second was a bent pipe associated with our air conditioner which could cause water seepage and damage to the furnace over time. This was rather disappointing news as we had our furnace and AC units checked on Sunday by two Enercare technicians who did not seem to notice these two very important maintenance issues. This puts into question the quality of the work done by Enercare staff. In addition, both technicians recommended duct cleaning for our home. They suggested we use Enercare cleaning. However, when the duct cleaning technicians came by on Wednesday afternoon, they realized that the cleaning could not be done due to the size of the cleaning pipes and the way our furnace is set up in the basement. Why did the furnace technician suggest we go with Enercare if he saw the furnace and with his knowledge of the equipment used to clean the ducts? I had taken the afternoon off of work to be home, to then not be able to get the ducts cleaned. What a very frustrating experience. I have reached out to their customer support, but have yet to hear back from them.

Installation of Ductless Air Conditioning Units

I recently had two ductless air conditioning units with heat pumps installed. Amazing customer service was provided from my initial telephone call, visits by Paul, Sales Development Specialist, to the installation by Rick B - HVAC Technical Advisor, and his team. Rick called ahead, was on time, very knowledgeable, efficient and respectful of my property when carrying out the installation. Everything was cleaned up after the job was completed. If you have a choice of technical advisor/installer, I would highly recommend Rick without hesitation.

    AC Maintanance

The enercare technician has been very patient due to my tenant's absence at the service address. He waited at the address for more than 20 mins. He has been very flexible and called me back again to rescheduled the appointment to one hour later on the same day. This was our fault to miss the appointment in the beginning but the technician's little help made whole thing brighter. Way To Go Enercare!

    DO NOT SIGN UP

I've been trying for a week to cancel my water heater rental with Enercare but their current strategy to continuously tell me that their systems are down and they can't take my call. It's crazy. Do not sign up!

    Extremely poor service

Enercare sucks, don't use them!!! Worst service ever! Sat here for my 4 hours no one showed, called was put on hold for over 10 mins, someone else picked up the call was put on hold again for over 10 mins then she came back and told me that due to emergency service calls that my maintenance call was cancelled that someone should have called. I asked for a supervisor was again put on hold for 20 mins this time. All manager could offer me was an apology and offer to reschedule the apt. I asked for an adjustment on my bill as I feel that my time should be just as valuable as theirs. As my contract is up for renewal this week anyway I stated that I wanted to cancel my account, that I do not wish to renew. Apparently after being on hold again for 10 mins, I now need to be transferred to someone else to complete the cancellation of service. I have been on the phone now since 5:05 an hour and counting the 4 hours I've been sitting here waiting that is 5 hours in total! Got transferred to someone who again I had to give all my info to, including telephone number..........WHO CUT ME OFF!! Big surprise even with my phone number she didn't call back. I called back again and finally reached a decent, that I could understand perfectly, named Joanne who cancelled my plan for me! By now it was approx 6:40 ~ 1.5 hours on the phone and 4 hours wait time on Sat. of a long weekend!!

    Repair to Air Conditioner

We has a problem with our Air conditioner which was leaking water, contacted Enercare with whom we have a maintenance & protection plan . They sent in the Technician CHRIS who was able to spot the problem with the AC ( water was leaking from the evaporator coil), he ordered a new evaporator coil & parts, came the following day did and excellent Job. Chris completed the work within the time frame and left the room very clean and tidy. He was very polite , prompt and efficient. Since we had the protection plan we did not have to pay , the repair was covered under our plan, had we not had the protection plan it would have cost a sum.

    Answer from pro:

Thanks for sharing your experience Selvadurai! We're happy to hear that your protection plan is providing you with the peace of mind you deserve :)
