    Really challenging to resolve billing issues

    We moved out of our house in July 2024 and 6 months later we are still calling Enercare to resolve the billing issue. Even though I now have a new account with Enercare in our new house, it seems impossible for them to register that we have moved. I am still receiving bills from our previous house. I have sent our bill of purchase confirming sale and new home owners but I am still receiving a bill. Every time I call they inform me that the issue will be resolved but just today I received a bill of over $300. I am completely lost as to how to resolve this. I hoping we can buy out our current contract as I want to cut ties with Enercare. With this experience I would not recommend Enercare.

    Winter time for Furnes emergency service 48 hrs waiting for technician sows up. 15C home temperature. They don't care about customers

    Huge system replaced and a great job done

    From Hali in sales to Josh & Acau in installation the experience was great. We had a very substantial HVAC upgrade including a boiler, 2 x furnaces, and 2 x heat pumps. We were nervous and overwhelmed to say the least and every member of Enercare referenced above was amazing in their approach and patience.

    Just the worst billing system and customer support I've ever encountered

    I have spent probably 30+ hours this year dealing with 7 and counting billing issues with Enercare. I co-own a rental property in Ottawa; the tenant pays for the hot water heater rental from Enercare, I pay for the furnace rental and plumbing protection plan. I can't even count how many times they've messed up the billing process, especially with the transition from Enbridge billing. And every time there's an issue, they say it'll take 1-2 billing cycles to investigate the issue, and then another 1-2 billing cycles to credit the account or refund they money they shouldn't have charged in the first place. At this point, they still owe me over $500 for double-billing my tenant for several months of furnace rental earlier this year, and now out of the blue they just started charging her again when they're already billing me for the furnace rental. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS. I'm going to be buying out my rental contracts and cancelling their plumbing service. It's just not worth the headaches.

    ENERCARE NIGHTMARE: Freezing for Days Due to Their Incompetence

    I deeply regret ever purchasing a furnace from Enercare, let alone paying an outrageous amount for their so-called extended warranty. Three days ago, in -20°C weather, the furnace motor failed, leaving my family freezing in our own home. Since then, it has been an endless nightmare of incompetence and apathy. When I called for urgent assistance, the first priority appointment was scheduled 28 HOURS later. Let me emphasize28 HOURS with no heat in subzero temperatures. After the inspection, they ordered a replacement part, and now, another 24 HOURS have passed with absolutely no sign of it. Nobody knows where it is or when it will arrive, and the wait time to speak to their infuriatingly rude agents is TWO AND A HALF HOURS! When you finally get through, their attitude is dismissive, and they couldnt care less about the urgency of the situation. Even if the part eventually shows up, the wait for someone to install it will be ANOTHER 28 HOURS. This is beyond unacceptableits downright negligent. Enercares service has been the most appalling and infuriating experience of my life. AVOID ENERCARE AT ALL COSTS. They do not care about their customers, and their incompetence will leave you freezing and furious. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

    Terrible customer service

    I rent a hot water tank, furnace and AC unit. In December 2024 the "smart thermostat" started to malfunction as diagnosed by an enercare technician. They failed to file the work order so I had to call back 3 separate times to get them to book an appointment for replacing the thermostat. They then no showed. Now currently sitting in a cold house and on the phone with enercare for the 5th time this week. Collectively waited on hold for this issue for 3 hours

    Nobody can fix brand new water heater problem

    Two weeks ago, I signed up for a water heater rental. The next day, they came to install a water heater and vent pipe. After two days, the exhaust vent pip started to drip water (two glasses per day). I called and explained the problem. The technician came over and immediately said this is not my job, and you should be asked to send a HVAC technician, and he charged $150 (under warranty). Yesterday, a HVAC technician came over and immediately said this is not my job, and you have to call to send an install technician to fix this problem and another $150 charge. I am afraid this game will continue, and I have to ask will fix this problem. I really made a mistake. I have to go with another company.....

    Winter maintenance

    This years maintenance appointment on our furnace was conducted by Souber Ismael. He was polite, thorough and made sure to outline the results of each item on the Company checklist for this years Winter furnace maintenance. We are happy to say that everything is running smoothly.
