    remove old and instsall new furnace and A/C

    Have had enercare protection plan for years and as in this case service was promptly scheduled and completed with knowledgeable, courteous and respectful personnel--a seamless experience! Would not consider any other option seriously.

    Maintenance Contract

    Two problems: 1. Terms for a yearly term that renews automatically. Cancelling contract results in balance of year charges 2. Called for plumbing contract and had to wait 5 days for a clogged toilet. Unreasonable!

    Annual maintenance - furnace and A/C

    I contacted Enercare for the annual maintenance on my furnace and air conditioning. Service was responsive, courteous and professional. Got an appointment the same week. I was asked if it was urgent and I replied no. The technician was also professional and courteous. I would have no hesitation to recommend them.

    Worst Heating Protection Plan

    I took Monthly Heating Protection Plan from Enercare for my furnace which is only 5 years old. I called for service to fix my vendor inducer motor. Technician came and instead of fixing my vendor motor he used camera to see my heat exchanger and after struggling half an hour he told me that there is crack on heat exchanger and he put red tag without his name or license number that my heat exchanger cracked and I can not run my furnace. He tried to sell me new furnace either rental or buy through one of enercare sales rep. I contacted dealer of furnace company. My heat exchanger is covered for 20 years and they sent another technician to see if heat exchanger is really cracked. As per dealer technician, there was no crack in heat exchanger and he opened the furnace and showed me. He gave me letter and removed red tag. I cancelled plan within 10 days but they are charging service call $99.00 for that technician who just harassed me for 3 days without any heat in my home during minus 15 degree temperature. Never take any plan from them. I am going to complain about this to consumer forum also.

    Shady Billing Practices - STAY AWAY

    A billing error occurred on August 2016 statement and contacted customer service to have corrected. Was told the error occurred due to a computer system problem and that it will take 2 billing periods to correct. To date nothing has been done. Have endured humiliation and rudeness and accumulated over a dozen case numbers with the latest Ref 25695276 in the process. UPDATE: Another call to Enercare more delay tactics and another case #25993457 produced no resolution to adjusting billing error. Proceeding to file complaint with Better Business Bureau.

    Furnace

    Our technician John Sposato was absolutely amazing. He was very polite, explained everything clearly and I was just so pleased with his visit. Thank you for your great customer service!

    Billing Issue through Utility Provider

    Had a 3-1 protection plan at my old residence which was billed through Enbridge. As I moved residences, I called up the Enercare office and told them of my move. The call centre advised that if I take up the same plan at the new residence, the remaining months on the contract will not be charged. So I moved my contract to the new residence, but still ended up being charged through Enbridge for the remaining 7months on the contract. Called up the billing centre, and they agreed it is their fault and the credit would be recorded to the new account. 8 months have passed, and despite innumerable calls nothing has happened so far. And now Enbridge keeps following me up for unpaid dues. Lousy service and even rude billing department. The last call was funny to the extent, the guy had the nerve to tell me your case has been closed and we will have to reopen a new one listing out the details. Going to the media now...

    Hot Water Tank Installation

    Our Technician was wonderful. He advised us on other solutions that may benefit the house, and what services Enercare provided to ensure the safety and security of myself and family. Great, easy customer service when I called to have a new tank installed. Looking forward to additional services with the company.

    2 service calls

    We have had 2 service calls from Enercare and both times the technicians were great. The first call was for the wiring of a new thermostat. The technician was very good at fixing the issue and offered some friendly advice about additional services available The 2nd was a routine yearly furnace maintenance. We have a plan that covers this. The technician was friendly and he told me the needed the ducts needed to be cleaned and showed me the dirt and dust and said it had probably never been done which I said was probably true as we have been in the home almost 10 year and never had them cleaned ourselves. The best part was he did not try to sell us or pressure us into any cleaning service, just recommend it be done. I thought that was great. We have no problem with Enercare a would recommend them any day.
