    Heating services

    I called Enercare yesterday Oct 13, 16 for service on my Boiler. I requested a Technician that is very familiar with this type of Boiler, I give the customer service rep the name of the technician that know how to fix the Boiler but she was offering to sell me more services instead of trying to help, anyway the appointment was booked for the following day to my surprise another Tech showed up I decided to give him a try, because I did not know him, he tried but could not get it to work, so he decided to call his supervisor who was trying to book another appointment for me with another Tech at a time when I would not be at home. I called the office and ask why the Tech I requested did not come to my home and was told by a very rude gentleman that I cannot get who I want. I have a service plan and I should have service when I requested it is not my problem that you don't have experience Tech to fix my Boiler, I was trying to avoid this problem by requesting a Tech that I know fix it in the past, but your employees don't care about customers all they care about is how much more they can sell you. The Techs are very friendly and helpful, but if they cannot fix a problem they don't have a choice but to walk away. Now I was told another Tech is coming on Monday if he cannot fix the problem I will call CP24 and complain because heat is essential and I am paying for this service as a matter of fact I pay for this service even when my Boiler is turned off so I better get the right Tech this time. I would not recommend this company to any of my friends and families, customer service needs more training.

    Barrie hot water tank installation

    We called enercare this year when our rental hot water tank wasn't working well. They replaced it with a higher efficiency one at no extra charge. The hot water installation technicians were helpful by showing me how to change temperature levels for when I'm home and when I am away on vacation. I would recommend having a hot water tank installed from the Barrie installation team at enercare. You will be the first I call for a furnace too.

    Great Service

    I have a technician check my furnace every year and he does a great job. He completes the work quickly and takes time to explain what he had done and advise me of any potential issues or concerns.

    Furnace Protection Plan

    BEWARE - Enercare does not care! They will bill you for services that are no longer needed. I called them to cancel my furnace protection plan - long story short, they repeat their standard reply that you are basically locked in for 12 months. It is a money grab. I have had the plan for over 6 years, no claims, they have made money from me and now when I don't have the furnace and don't require the plan they want me to pay them for the remaing 5 months. They are greedy and don't appreciate customers that have been with them for many years. Bad Business practices.

    WORST SERVICE EVER, DO NOT GET A PROTECTION PLAN!!

    Enercare is a rip off, they get you by giving discounts, they renew your contract automatically. They start the protection plan at $8 then keep increasing and you can't cancel or they will charge you for the remaining of the year. When you ask for a customer care agent or manager to call you, they say they will call in 48 to 72 hrs but noone calls back. I would never deal with Enercare, if there service on the phone is so bad, can't imagine what it would be like for a problem

    Hot Water Heater Failure

    Nicholas attended our home within an hour of calling. He was polite, fixed the problem and explained how the hot water heater functions. Great service. Nicholas went above and beyond what was required. Thank You! Don C

    Installation of New Furnace and Aironditioner - Extremely satisfied

    I rented out a furnace and air conditioner from Enercare yesterday. Todd and TJ who came in to install the equipment were both very efficient and professional. In less than 5 hours they had done a perfect job and clean up. They even took away the old equipment and pipes, etc. I am very satisfied with their service and would recommend them to anyone. I would also like to mention that Aaron Lowes, the Sales person who came in before renting was extremely patient, knowledgeable and explained the pros and cons of the different furnaces and air conditioners and helped us with our choice. I would really like to thank him for his prompt action and his help.

    Furnace Maintenance

    The Technician thoroughly explained what he did, and took the time to discuss the results and the recommendations. He arrived at the promised time and completed the work quickly and efficiently.

    Heating Maintenance

    Today our enercare technician, Paul Antoniak came to preform a heating maintenance review of our furnace to make sure we are winter ready. He called before hand and arrived on time. Paul was very respectful and polite, introducing himself first, explaining what we should expect from this service call and wearing shoe covers. He was very through, checking for carbon monoxide detectors on all floors, a complete maintenance inspection of the furnace, and he even changed the air filter. When all we done he went over the inspection with us in detail. We could not have been happier with this service call. We feel confident that our furnace will be in great working order this winter and feel completely comfortable that if we are in good hands with enercare. Paul is a great representative for his company, providing an outstanding customer experience. Thank you.

    Installation of home furnace, AC and water tank

    Do NOT purchase your home heating/cooling through Enercare. The installation technician was incompetent - resulting in a flooded basement AND a gas leak in the piping to the furnace. He also bashed up our walls and stairs - indoors and out. Details - he did not connect the condensation hose to the condensate pump. So when we turned on the furnace water ran right out into the basement creating water damage and resulting in a claim on our house insurance. When fixing this we realised we smelled gas - called Enbridge and their technician gave 2 warning tags - the piping to the furnace is leaking and the supply line to the furnace was not bonded. It took Enercare 2 days to send a technician. Their response on the line completely unacceptable. This is totally incompetent service for such an expensive and crucial home project.
