    Heating and cooling maintenance plan

I signed up for the heat and air maintenance plan and had someone come out to maintain and inspect.. At the end of May sometime now I'm no expert but I would think the drip pan would be something that would be looked at in an ac inspection??? I went down to check on it because my fan was quite noisy and found water all over the floor apparently the hose got clogged and the pan was dripping all over and inside the ducting as well as the wall and floor outside the room. What exactly am I paying for? The report mentions age of equipment 7-17 and the house was built in 2011

they sold my a service that didn't cover my unit or anything.

I was having issues with my unit so i started to do research (online and calling in) on who could help and what needed to be done. I called twice and while the phone support was very nice their information turned out to be completely wrong. I advised them that i'm a condo owner and that i had a HVAC unit. (im not an expert so i didn't know more than that- but they also didn't ask). so after spending 40+ minutes on the phone on 2 different occasions they sold me a plan that didn't cover my unit and i had to pay for everything separately. (the tech was very nice and very knowledgeable). They said they don't have a maintenance plan that covers my unit and can't help me. If you're a condo owner beware of enercare they most likely will not be able to help you!

Air con service call and new install

I have an air conditioner/furnace service plan with Enercare. Yesterday, on the hottest day of the year, my air conditioner stopped working. I called Enercare, and within an hour a technician arrived to check it out! It turned out my unit, from 1989, finally permanently gave up. No charge for the service call, thanks to my plan. Within another hour, a salesman was there to give me an estimate for a new one, and explained the different options between owning and renting. I decided to go with a monthly rental, and then at 8am the next morning, installers were here to put the new one in! From start to finish, everything, from my initial service call right through to the installation of a new air conditioner, happened in less than 24 hours! And everyone, from the woman I spoke to on the phone, to the repair tech, to the salesman, to the installers, were courteous and professional. Now that's what I call great service.

    Central Air Unit

We have a service contract for our 2 year old AC unit. My husband has a medical condition which makes A/C mandatory. the unit is not working properly. I called for service. No available appointments until Sunday. This is despite their promise of "same day service". I was told that this is "what they intend", not what they do". Asked to speak with a manager and was told there was no one available. I am looking for a new company. This is unacceptable for the money they charge for the service contract. And this time it is a running toilet that is supposed to be covered by the plumbing maintenance plan. they are unable to fix it until a week from now due to "special circumstances". Awful, awful service, and yet they expect to be paid on time!

    Seniors...

My parents who are in their 80's called enercare to have their water heater repaired as it was leaking...two days later they were informed that they needed a new water heater, furnace and a central air conditioning unit...and then convinced them not to buy the new units but to sign up for a life long rental agreement...how can Enercare continue to help our seniors like this?!...I'm hoping that enercare use the same great workmanship to put the old furnace and a/c unit back in as they were working fine...

    new furnace installed

Back in March 2016, I called Enercare to have a new furnace installed. They were very punctual, installed a new furnace within a few hours, and left the house spotless. My problem is trying to receive my rebate check that I was promised in 6 weeks of having the furnace installed. I have called Enercare at least 6 times and every time I call I am told someone would get back to be. The other day I called again and was told that they would escalate my complaint. Finally someone called me back only to tell me that the rebate has been approved and should be received in the next 6-8 weeks. It's already been over 12 weeks since the furnace has been installed. Normally I am very happy with Enercare's customer service but not this time. I told each person that I spoke to all I want to know is when I will received my rebate cheque and no one has been able to give me a straight answer. Unfortunately, this has left a very bad taste in my mouth and would think twice before I use Enercare again for heating or air conditioning problems. I thought I would go with a reputable company to avoid any future problems but I had to spend so much time calling and waiting on hold only to get nowhere. I could have gone with a private company, paid less for the furnace and would have had better service.

    Enbridge and Enercare rip off-beware!

Enercare is trying to charge us $457 for an erroneous rental of a hot water tank and buyout that we've never had. First we dealt with Enbridge with this issue when we moved into our house and Enbridge finally credited our account and then Enercare sends us a bill for the exact issue we thought we had resolved with Enbridge. They have no backup documentation to support these charges but refuse to come to a resolution with us. Beware people. My husband spent a frustrating 45 minutes on the phone with them last night but got no where. They told him to contact the Ontario Ministry of Government Consumer Services. What kind of company expects you to pay charges without any adequate backup such as contract or serial number of the unit we are supposedly renting??? As a business woman, I know my clients would never pay for something they are disputing without us providing proper documentation to support it. Ridiculous and the worst display of customer service I've experienced. They should be ashamed.

    A/C Maintenance under protection plan

I have a protection plan from Enercare for last 3 years. This year A/c needs a repair, Enercare suggested they will order the part which will be delivered to my home and then technician will come and repair. It's been 2 weeks and part is not delivered, the customer service does not know when this will be delivered, even after making frequent calls to Enercare. Sickening... Stay away from this kind of business.
