    Enercare heating protection plan

    Had Enercare's heating protection plan for several years and never used it, apart from one "22 point inspection" a few years ago. Called them this year and had them come to inspect our (very old but still working) furnace this year and they said there was a crack somewhere in the internal heat exchange and they tagged our furnace and shut it down. They sent someone the next day to try and convince us to rent a furnace from them. When we said we would rather buy they gave us a price which was about $1000 more than the other quotes we received for the same furnace. Part of their selling feature was that we would be able to cancel the protection plan if we bought a new furnace. When we decided to purchase a furnace through another company, I called Enercare to cancel our protection plan and I was told that I couldn't because I had a "verbal contract" with them, that my annual contract expires in March, and because I had called them to do an inspection this year. I have paid hundreds of dollars in the last few years on a protection plan and have barely used it, so they've definitely got enough money out of me in my opinion. And now they want to charge me another $150 because of some contract that I never signed!

    HVAC Service

    Service guy Jeff came to the house and was a total pro, polite, understanding and listened to what I had to say!! Some service guys treat you like you know nothing...he listened, investigated, even called for another service guy, Tony as the problem was tricky! Two visits, some head scratching and they found the problem and we are better than ever! The guy is good!!

    RWH Service

    Within an hour of talking to your rep on the phone, the service technician was at my door. The technician was polite, efficient and, within 10 minutes, had the problem diagnosed and the repairs underway. He took the time to explain what needs to be done, what the expected outcomes would be and made sure those outcomes solved the issues we had raised. This type of speed, efficiency and focus on customer satisfaction is very rare, indeed, these days. You (and we) were most fortunate the technician had all these qualities.

    The service technician was extremely polite yet friendly. The way in which he dealt with the problem was very impressive. He was knowledgeable and quite thorough...he left me with a big smile on my face! Once again good wishes to Enercare....as a customer I know I made the right choice in choosing Enercare!

    My appointment was from 8am - 12 and Sean (Mcmahon) called at 8:10 to say he would be there in 10 minutes and he was. He was polite and informative and explained everything prior to leaving.

    I was very impressed with them. they were polite, friendly and careful. After they left you couldn't even tell they were there. They cleaned up nicely. . . . . I have already given their name to several people. Greg Munshaw was very helpful. I feel that I could contact him any time if I have a problem. Connie

    Plumbing

    We normally never purchase protection plans but for some reason, I agreed to their promotional offer for their plumbing protection plan as I was booking an appt with a CSR for an unrelated matter. As luck would have it, shortly afterwards we needed a plumber for a water issue (no hot water). Their plumber Jim came and spent 2 hours finding the source of our problem. He was determined from the start to fix the problem and he did. Our annual fee definitely paid for itself and with an older home, we will definitely continue with this service plan. Note: we were informed that not all services are covered by this plan but thankfully, what we needed done was covered.
