We recently had a routine annual furnace check and had the furnace tagged. The technicians explained to us that we could no longer use this furnace. Arranagements were made for Matthew Schrader to meet with us the next day to a help us select a new furnace and water heater plus we decided to get a new air-conditioner installed at the same time. Matthew was terrific, very patient, answered all our questions and we ordered our furnace etc. We had to make some adjustments to our furnace room, as it is very small to accommodate the new equipment. As we needed to cut down some hedges in the garden were the technicians were to cut through the outer wall to run new wires etc for the air-con unit. Matthew was really great and even helped us with that. Our appointment was arranged, Matthew lent us 2 space heaters as we were without heat for 8 days total. Being seniors we were glad of those. When the day came for our new equipment to be installed, we had 3 really great technicians come and do a super job for us. Following that there was a water leak from the hoses that had been damaged with the new ones coming in through the wall. A direct energy plumber came out and fixed that. He too was terrific. Yesterday we had our air ducts cleaned and also were really satisfied with those guys too.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

I love the service you offer. We always request the same plumber, his name is Steve , he goes above and beyond. He is so polite, and he is the reason we continue to purchase the plan. This time when we called in.. we had an amazing customer service rep on the phone, he was so pleasant so over all... The 2 people i dealt with went above and beyond to represent your company!!! Excellent service, very courteous, fast. I had a leak at night and i still had a serviceman over same evening. Next morning everything was replaced! Very satisfied. Installed was also fast and efficient.Answer from pro:

First call - believed the water heater was dirty and he cleaned it. Second call- problem persisted and required a second visit, resolved issue which was electrical. Very satisfied with both the service technicians.Answer from pro:

I was first contacted by another company in the area wanting to replace our furnace and offering us rebates. This person did not even look at the furnace. I called Direct Energy and had a consult with Aaron Lowes. He was very professional and knowledgeable.He showed us what was wrong with our furnace and what was not up to code.He suggested moving the furnace back changing some duct work. The hot water tank a rental was upgraded at the same time he suggested moving it over.D Mercer the installer and his helper did an excellent job.Our floor was covered by a protective carpet the finished job was professional and done to code .We feel very safe and like the extra room.Answer from pro:
Wow, amazing service Dianne! People really need to watch out for other companies who say they can offer you savings without seeing your equipment. Beware of aggressive and misleading door-to-door sales!

I pay for the monthly furnace maintenance service because I have an older furnace (13 yrs). Every year I sign up for the yearly maintenance check. The serviceman from Direct Energy on this last maintenance visit was extremely courteous and communicative. He protected his boots with covers so my house stayed clean. A++, would definitely recommend. In fact, all of the service people that have come to my house during my service contract have been great. I should also mention that I needed an emergency visit about a month ago -- turns out the igniter died... an inexpensive piece that would have been a nightmare to find later in the evening. DE was able to get a technician to me that evening to fix the problem; he has a spare part on hand. That serviceman was great as well, and my maintenance package saved the day.Answer from pro:
