John the serviceman was great in resolving our garage door problems, described how to use it the garage door opener and showed all the safety features. Very conscientious and dedicated to his work and the clients. I commend him highly. I'm very impressed with Dodds and will definitely recommend Dodds to anyone needing garage door work. Garage door suddenly stopped functioning, and it was clear that one of the 2 springs had broken. I called Dodds at about 1:45 p.m. and was told someone would be here before 5 p.m. Indeed, the entire job was finished, two springs replaced, by about 3:30 p.m. Now that is seriously fast response time! I'm impressed.

We had a wonderful experience dealing with the sales rep and customer service follow up. They showed up when they said they were going to and the installer was very professional and thorough. I have already recommended Dodds to my neighbours!

Our new door looks very nice with the remote open/closing working very well. The four week lead time required was accurate. Although the installation presented some complications the installer handled them very well. We made the right choice.

Dodds replaced our old garage door and made the entire process a pleasant and painless one, from start to finish. The salesman went out of his way to accommodate my schedule and was very knowledgeable and helpful, answered all my questions making the decision making process much easier for me. Our installation was not a typical one since we had installed a storage space in the garage but not making provision for the new door but the salesman was able to overcome this issue without any problems. The installation also went smoothly, the technicians showed up on time and were very professional, they cleaned up after themselves and did a great job with the installation. One of the panels was obviously damaged in transit and I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly this was addressed. I think the measure of a company is how well they do what they are supposed to but even more so how they respond when problems occur. In my opinion ``DÒDDS DOES DO IT BETTER`` and I recommend them without reservation!! And in fact I did, my neighbour also had his garage door replaced by DOODS DOORS. Great company, refreshing to deal with.

As a blind individual living in today's society where vision is so important, I'm glad to say that my experiences with Dodd's Garage Doors was not one of the companies I needed to have vision with. From the beginning stages of the appraisal to the follow-up customer service I received from Angela Di Iorio, and the installer, Victor, who showed me everything, not told me, I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone needing to replace a garage door in the future. Truly an exceptional company.

So much for "we'll show up when we say we will". We had to call and follow up on our order a week after the timeframe estimated by the sales person (Michael, who also arrived almost an hour late for the quote appt and we had to call and see if he was still coming - that should have been our first clue that something was wrong). We then booked an appt for install 2 Saturdays later only to receive a message on the Friday afternoon prior to install that they could no longer do it as there installer decided to take the day off (I'm not saying he shouldn't be allowed a day off but they should be more organized and not book appts if that's the case). We then booked for today. They were to arrive 9:30-10am. At noon my husband drove 35 minutes back home from work on his lunch to check on the progress only to show up and find no one there. After a couple calls to Dodds, they advised that the installers went to a different job and weren't coming. The only thing they could do was cancel someone else's job for Monday and install ours. If this is the level of service we can expect than we have no confidence in their install either. We've cancelled our order and asked for our money back.

While my husband was away on the business trip we had an accident with our garage door and had to be replaced. Usually my husband deals with contractors. I called two garage companies, Dodds was one of them. I must say I was very impressed by Dodds’ knowledge and professional conduct. Salesman answered my questions and gave me great advice. Installation was possible within a week. Service was also very professional, polite and clean. I recommend Dodds highly to my friends and neighbors.

I ordered a pair of new garage doors for the automation and insulation, and while the initial installation was technically sound I felt it was installed a few inches too low for my 6'2" frame. Although I had some troubles initially getting a response from Dodds, they did eventually address my problem and came back to correct the issue, with thankfully no additional costs involved. The doors now look fantastic, and the new rails are the perfect height.
