    horrible lawn service

Dr Green first provided horrible lawn service that I had paid for last season ... then tried to bill me for services I no longer wanted for the next season. Upon contacting them they were extremely rude and belligerent ... my worst experience with any service provider !

    Lawn Care Service

Dr Green provided me lawn care service in 2009. I called them and negotiated a price for 2009. In 2010, they entered my property without my permission, and then sent me a bill for services I did not order. Then they started harassing me for payment, saying that theirs was a continuing service and hence I was obligated to call & cancel. I did not agree to a contuing service either verbally or in writing. This company prefers to use tricky/sleazy methods to make money rather than earning their customers loyalty by using honest/fair methods. I am confident that this will not work in the long run and that this compnay will eventually die as a consequence of its own lack of business ethic. Anyone reading this is cautioned about dealing with Dr.Green. They are easily the slimiest party I have dealt with.

One season lawn care (summer 2009)

If you read this, you have already read all responses before me. Let me join the club of screwed customers. The promised green lawn without weeds within a season. Guess what? It never happened. They sent guy to pick up weeds by hand and despite I told them not to come again anymore, they charged me for the service next April as they claim somebody came to apply unwanted service to my grass. I became furious at that point. Ever since they call me every week (am I alone customer with them?!), the send weekly letters and apply interest on that wicked service I never seen. Be very careful with them. I filed complain with BBB and I suggest you to do the same if you were hit by that company. I wish there was a lawyer out there who could take a class action suit against this company. Not kind of business you wish to have in GTA.

    Lawn Care

Paid these smooth talkers an arm and a leg and they did not produce! There are brown patches/dead grass, weeds and crab grass now. It was in very good condition when they started as it was maintained by professionals. Do not prepay these individuals. I am reporting them to the better business bureau and please join the class action against these guss if you were burnt too. They have to be taken to task. They target seniors.

lawn service, aeration, seed and top dress

Do not give them any payment in advance. This year alone didn't show up for aeration, didn't over seed and top dress as spec'd. Very little sign of any fertilizing. Don't expect your money back. Very polite customer service hides a sinister work ethic. Read the other reviews and RUN as fast a possible.

    Scheduled summer lawn maintenace

The price was the big selling feature but because they are not a local company and it was hard to reolve issues in Toronto. did not come as originally schedule and even fertilized in the rain. Low service offering.

    Weed Control, Fertilizing etc

We have definitely seen an improvement in our lawn this summer after having Dr. Green come in. It's not perfect and we still have weeds but not as many and the grass is definitely thicker and greener and healthier looking. Hopefully by next summer it will look even better!

    Lawn care??

2010 was the first year we signed up with Dr. Green for a basic fertilizing, weeds, seeding etc... It wasn't like I was saving a whole lot compared to other companies I spent more time on the phone requesting more treatments, or reminding them to knock before opening my gate for the back yard and letting my dog out a number of times. (which is very frustrating- having to get 2 toddlers in car seats and go out looking for your dog thanks to the lawn guy who "OVER LOOKS" the notes on the invoice to knock.) Im not sure if you can see on the picture I posted, but I cant be sure they have "treated" my weeds, or feed them, because they are huge... Save your time and money, leave dr green on the curb.

    Dr Green Lawncare

Bad Customer Service Don't fall victim to Dr Green's tactics - In spite of cancelling our service with Dr Green, Dr Green felt it their right to continue attending our property against our wishes. We called four or five times to cancel as it was apparent that they were not understanding our message. Not very intelligent you say? Maybe not but I suspect otherwise ... I suspect that this is part of Dr Greens sales plan ... a very active approach to intimidating customers into paying for services against their wishes ... Dr Green shows up, does some work (of which it is difficult, at best, to validate the quality), and enforces payments using intimidation. You see, we began to get collection phonecalls when we refused to pay for the service as we had simply not authorized it . However they threatened to send the nonpayment to a collection agency and the credit bureau. I am very lucky that I have dealt with this sort of intimidation before but how many senior citizens can or should have to withstand this pressure. This morning, the president (and I use the term loosely) Ryan van Haastrect told me that he wrote off the account, like he was doing us some sort of favour. He should have to pay me for the time that his peons have wasted. This is clear evidence that at all times and by law, customers should be contacted by a company to authorize annual renewals. Stay safe and don't get entangled with Dr Green. You may come to regret it.
