Dr Green Lawn Care Services reviews (1265)

Today is June 24th, 2013. I signed up for a season long package. They have still not done any weed spraying. Have called multiple times to just get excuses. Will not be using this company again.

Signed up with Dr. Green last year (2012) here in Calgary, Alberta and wasn't happy with their services at all. When we got our final notice of service schedule and the last service for the year was done, we went to Dr. Green's website and when to the website's "Contact Us Form", filled it out with our customer info and said, "Please cancel any services". Then in April (2013), they came and serviced our lawn while we were away and was really surprised knowing that we've cancelled their services already. I emailed them through their website's "Contact Us Form" saying that why did they do the service and we have no intention of paying for something we did not want. Then we go phone call saying we have owing which we again explained to them that we already cancelled their services since last year. Then we got an email with the invoice for the services they did which we don't wanted, but now with interest added. We are really frustrated with what was happening and we hope they just stop because we don't intend of paying something I did not wanted. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND THE WORD "CANCEL THE SERVICES" AND WILL TRY TO TAKE YOUR MONEY. You can read similar things with other customers.

What a terrible company! Do not use them. Service last year was sporadic and lots of weeds. Sometimes service was done right before or after a rain. Sometimes no one showed up for weeks. You have to do ALL of the calling. Then the nightmare starts. This year they called to get me to continue service and I said NO at least twice but lo and behold someone says they showed up and I am getting a bill for 2 services I neither asked for nor wanted. And try talking to them. The SNOTTY girl keeps asking WHEN I spoke to them. Do YOU remember the date of every phone call you ever had? Not me. So they say, service is continued automatically-so pay. DON'T THINK SO. STAY AWAY FROM DR. GREEN!!!

This was our first year with Dr. Green. We paid up front 600.00 for the total package. Since then they have been out once to fertilize and once to dethatch. This is the only time in the last 8 weeks we have had service. We have called the office 5 times asking for a manager call back as we want our money refunded and service cancelled (if you can call it that they don't show up for service anyway). Buyer be aware and stay away from this awful company who clearly only wants to take your money and not deliver services as promised.

I used this service last yr. Canceled service this yr! Came home to a bill for two services? Strange thing is I had no grass for a month while installing irrigation system in my yard!! I have been trying to contact the company but no one will return calls or emails. I see Courtneyg from the company is acknowledging these comments perhaps you can email me back?! I should be in your system!! Strongly suggest others to stay away from this company until they sort out their in house issues which seem to be many!!

FRAUD ALERT: Do not prepay this company. They have not provided service and will not give our money back. In March we responded to a flyer left on our door for an Aeration Package. Dr. Green immediately charged my credit card $239.20 for the service. We called the Dr. Green Customer Service Department weekly through April and May to try to get them to come and Aerate our lawn. In June we suggested canceling the Package, Customer Service promptly cancelled the service and said a Manager would call us back to discuss repayment. No one called. We just contacted customer service and we are now being told that the service is cancelled and they do not provide refunds. I also tried to contact the person who attaches their email to each of these reviews and was politely told that there was nothing that she could do to help us.

Terrible service. Cannot get to customer service reps - when you call them you get the can we call you back we are very busy. No one gets back to you for days. You have to keep calling. I was not satisfied with the services and wanted for a someone to come out ( for a free revisit included in my package). According to them they scheduled someone for the next day no one showed up I kept calling trying to figure out when someone would show up - the response was we are very busy we will get to you when we are not as busy. When would that be in January when we have snow on the ground. I finally got to a supervisor and was told that she will schedule the appointment and that they really do care about their customers, well I did not get that impression. I cancelled my service - and was told that someone will contact me to arrange for the refund. Well guess what no has and I have no refund and no service. It has been a month - no one is contacting me. I requested a call from a supervisor and still have not heard from them. Nice racket they are running - they take your money promise you service, when you don't get the service you bought they ignore and keep your money. Stay away from this place!!!!!!!

Pre-paid for lawn maintenance with Dr. Green. After having a bad experience two years ago, they promised to do a better job this time around and I fell for it. After the first two fertilizer treatments they never came back for weed treatments and my lawn is now covered in weeds! No refunds allowed..sorry! This place is run by a bunch of students working part time and who don't really care what happens to your lawn or if the treatments are applied properly or on time. Stay away!!!

DO NOT HIRE!!! Dr. Green is a totally unethical compamy. They send out their sales force to sign you up for seasonal care and what they neglect to tell you is that you are signing a contract with the expectation that you renew every year. They show up the following year (without warning despite their usual process of email notification prior to service, coincidence? I think not.) and complete service in the hopes that you just continue paying. This would not be as big a deal if the service they provide is actually decent, it is not. They spend less than 5 minutes running around completing service, lawn not at all improved after one full season of care, they dont show up when they say they will and customer service is down right rude. As many others have stated (so wish I'd done some research before signing up) they do not issue refunds and if you call demanding one they transfer you to a team of rude, agressive people who basically read scripts. You can tell they get a lot of similar calls as they very carefully transcribe each and every call you make throughout your service. I will be pursuing my refund claim through Visa and will also do everything in my power to ensure that others dont make the same mistake that I did. Do not hire this company!

Company is never on time. When I gave them an opportunity they still did not meet expectations. Called for a refund as I paid for a year of service. They will not do. Will not recommend this company!
