    Toilet draining

Steve did a great job clearing the clogged toilet. He also gave very useful information and tips as he was doing the job. He cleaned up after he completed the job.

    Professional Service

Came within 12 hours of phone call and did a great job fixing two clogged sinks. A bit surprised about the price but no question about great service. Thanks again.

    Tree Roots

They take pride in their customer service. After reading a review regarding my experience I was contacted by Drain Rescue. This is the first time I have ever been contacted by a company seeking out information and ways to improve the situation and I greatly appreciated this. An agreement was made and I am happy with the outcome.

Kitchen Drain Cleaning and replaced Strainer basket

Not happy with the cost of service. I believe I am over charged. The job was to unclog the kitchen sink drain. Before the technician arrived I had already opened the drain pipe and cleaned that portion to P-trap but I could not unclog the stuff in the portion where drain pipe and main pipe behind the wall connect. Technician did not make any effort to open the drain pipe. It was all opened. He just removed the drain fixture, put the snake and clog was cleared and I got charged $345.50 for the 2min service. When he was putting back the drain pipe he found the strainer basket was leaking (BTW it was not leaking before). He installed a new strainer basket that cost me $225. After that when I had checked the price for drain snake with another companies I found that for this job I explained above the price range would be $100-$150 max. Also I checked the price of strainer basket in stores that cost $25 max. Because I did not call to any one before and get the quote and have not encountered this kind of issue before. So I believe company overcharged me as compare to the level of work and market price for the service.

Thanks for your feedback. We do not start any work without providing customer with an estimate and only after customer agrees to go ahead with the estimate we do the work. In this case we send a technician to your place within 45 minutes as you were desperate to fix the problem you have made worst by trying to do it yourself. Our technician provided you with an estimate and you agreed on him fixing your problem. Next day you called the office complaining that you have overpaid and threatened us to post a bad review if you don’t get the money back. We do care about our reputation and our customer service, but giving money back just because customer threatens to post a bad review is unethical. Why honest person has to pay a price they agreed on and someone that is not so hones should get money back. It is wrong to reward this kind of behavior.

    Stuck drain

Plumber Braedon is 5-star Worker. Fixed the problem on super-short notice, and saved the day. Company may be pricier than average, but provides quick response. Review website requires more words, and I am one who favour brevity, so I will add random verbosity....

Thanks for the kind words! I'm happy to hear about your positive experience and will make sure that the individuals involved with your issue know as well!

Hostile customer service and record phone calls without consent or notification - go elsewhere if customer service is important to you

The actual work done was replacing a broken drain on a bathroom sink and snaking it to clear a clog. Barely 30 mins work for $400 which I find pricey, but at least from what I can tell the work was done well. The rest of this review is about the customer service provided post-repair. For repairs completed last Thursday afternoon, I have received no fewer than 10 (TEN!) phone calls (I checked my missed call logs) from Drain Rescue Plumbers as of the following Tuesday - including calls on Sunday morning - chasing payment. 10 phone calls in less than 3 business days. I work in a job when I can't always take phone calls. The constant phone calls bordered on harassment. The reason for the delay in payment is because of a question about the invoice. I've actually called to speak with someone at their office (Sonia I believe) twice. First, because I never received an invoice (the reason they said is because they don't have my email address, even though I submitted all my contact info via Homestars when I requested the job - that's the only way they would have contacted me!) and then we spoke a second time when I had a question about the amount being charged which needed to be resolved with the plumber. Next thing I know, I receive a call from another person at Drain Rescue, accusing me of dodging her calls and refusing to pay. Didn't matter to her the fact that I proactively called in the office and spoke with her colleague twice to clarify an issue because I wanted to settle the payment. Didn't matter to her that a customer had a question to be resolved. Even from a plumber, I expect more personable and cordial customer service. She then played the phone conversation I had with the plumber, again not in a helpful way, but in an accusatory way. While it did resolve the question I had (it was my mistake that I remembered the itemized costs of the repairs wrong, because the plumber had quoted a larger job which I did not proceed with), I was quite taken aback by the fact that my conversation with the plumber was recorded without consent or even the courtesy of letting me know while I was on the call. I have no problem with them recording, and in this case it was actually helpful, but I don't think it's right to record your customer without letting him or her know. What's to stop the plumber from taking videos and pictures of your home when he is in your house? How would one know how these recordings might be used or disposed of? What else might they be doing without your knowledge or consent when you're letting them into your home, your kitchens, your bathrooms? There are so many plumbers out there - if customer service, common courtesy and respect for your time and privacy are important to you, I'd go elsewhere.

    Answer from pro:

Thanks for your feedback. We are glad that you were satisfied with the service we provided. Our company operates with payment upon completion of the work. We understand that in some cases properties are rented and owners are unable to be present at the job site as it was in your case. Our technician confirmed pricing with you over the phone to which you agreed. For some reason we had no problems getting in contact with you until it was time to collect balance. We are glad that this issue is resolved now – you had your plumbing issues fixed and we got paid for the work we did.

    Happy Customer

I called Drain Rescue after getting another estimate to repair root damage to our main drain. Steve came the same day to look at the job and was extremely professional. He used the camera and also found issues on the City's part of the sewer line that the first plumber completely missed. Drain Rescue's price was better than the first guy's and Oleg came to do the job the next day. He took great care to put down tarps and even used plastic to seal off the adjoining room so we had no dust to clean up after the job was finished. Other than the knowledge that we have new root-free PVC piping under the concrete patch that's presently drying, you'd never know that they were here. This is my second time using Drain Rescue and I won't hesitate to call them again (I just hope I don't have to!) Dave
