    Furnace Replacement

    Good, decent folks going about their business with an "old school", no nonsense, approach. From Mario to the field guys (Dave & Roy) exemplar courtesy and an attentive, easy going manner. A concern with the ventilation pipes facing a public lane-way adjacent to our house was quickly understood and and a fix promised, after we brought it to Mario's attention over the phone - which was then expertly taken care of, by Cory & Evan on a late, blustery cold evening this past week...Brrrr Two thumbs up, all around! ( more, if i had extra thumbs :-)

    Furnace Replacement

    Our furnace was not working properly, I called Dupont as they were the company who installed it for the previous owner. Louis came out within the hour to inspect the unit. Unfortunately he had to shut it down immediately for safety reasons. He then walked me through our options for replacement. Louis was honest and open about what we needed & never did I feel like he was trying to up-sell us. He noticed that we had young children and called in a favour to get the unit installed same day which was incredible considering it was Friday morning. Cody & Evan showed up around 6pm and worked until after 10:00pm to ensure that we had heat that night. They were incredible, professional and I can't thank them enough.

    replace HVAC heating/cooling unit

    After a terrible experience with another company, Dupont H&A/C was highly recommended to me to resolve an emergency heating problem. They fixed the problem seamlessly and their pricing was the best that I found in the city. I had sold my condo and one week before the closing date, the HVAC heating/cooling unit in the condo died. I was in a panic to get it fixed or replaced asap for the new owner. As soon as I called Louis, one of the owners of Dupont H&A/C, and explained the situation, he was on top of it. Within an hour of my first phone call he phoned back assuring me he had a new unit ordered and would be receiving it within 48 hours. He followed up with me regarding installation time. Jackie and Heather who work in the office made a detailed contract with pricing and invoice emailed to me right away. To make a long story short, the unit was installed by Alex - who did an outstanding job & clearly has skill and product knowledge - and the drama of my condo close came to an end. I cannot say enough great things about 1) customer service 2) workmanship, quality of product, skill 3) in an emergency situation, this company came through. I give Dupont Heating and A/C a 10 out of 10 and highly recommend them.

    furnace issues

    poor customer service, poor communication lost 7 hour workday technician did not show for the early morning service call( 8am), and I found out when I called the office about 9;20pm. When I complained to the office I was blamed for parking issues in the neighborhood and a supposedly inappropriate driveway. I complained to the office manager as the owner was not available Finally showed at 12:30 pm for his first am call and left about 2pm A full workday lost and no apology

I remember this call very well, and just to clear things up, Our technician did show up on time in the morning and there was no parking available until 10:00am, and your driveway was not suitable for the size of our service vehicles. Our technician also tried calling upon arrival several times to the number provided to us, and had no answer. We are unable to let our technicians illegally park, (especially now with the new 2015 laws in place with regards to parking, as vehicles will be towed without warning) Unfortunately the technician had no choice but to move on to his second call of the day as no one could reach you, and when we finally made contact with you - We made arrangements for him to come back as soon as he had finished at that call, and parking would have become available. With regards to your apology that you are talking about, you spoke with 2 different office staff, and we came to an agreement which was to send our technician back, which we did, and he not only did maintenance but repaired your unit. Unfortunately there was a lack of communication with regards to what parking was available to our technicians. We look forward to giving you a positive service experience next tine.     Gas Boiler Installation

    I called Dupont Heating & Air Conditioning Ltd. after the many positive reviews on Homestars and was pleasantly surprised that the receptionist informed me that a representative by will be at my home in 1/2 hour! My wife waited for Louis to come by and true to his words, he was in my home making a through diagnosis and informed my wife not to spend another dime on the exisiting (26+ years) boiler. My wife requested that Louis come to my workplace to present and review the quotation listing the details of work to be performed. To my surprise (again), he drove to my workplace and waited in his truck until I met up with him. Louis is an honest, down to earth and knowledgeable person who told me that my (26+ years) needed replacing (I already knew that as I had several in house calls by other companies who charged me over $100+ HST per visit). As I write this, I can honestly say that it is the best 15 minutes spent (in Louis' truck) as the quote was not out of line with what the HVAC industry would charge especially "in the dead of winter". The crew did not rushed to head out for the nearest pub on a Friday night but instead remained very focused to ensure a quality installation was performed which I noticed by my numerous interactions with them. The boiler was installed by qualified trained, courteous, experienced and knowledgeable crew (Sam, David and Darvin) on the same Friday! The crew cleaned up and ensure that all was running well 'BEFORE' they left on a Friday late afternoon! The installation went extremely well as the piping is now more 'organized' and power-vented through the chimney. The workmanship is second to none. Sam worked diligently in a very confined and tight space but without complaints! This is what I call outstanding service. Moreover, Louis also contacted me on Saturday morning to follow up and ensure that the boiler and thermostat was running well. He also reminded me to register the boiler with Carrier to ensure that I receive the ten year warranty within the 90 day after installation which I did. On behalf of my family, words cannot express our gratitude of thanks for an exceptional company with exceptional, knowledgeable, experienced, honest, and down to earth people.     Boiler installion

    My old boiler gave out 2 weeks ago on a Thursday night. I was scheduled to go out of town on Friday afternoon which would leave my son and dog at home without any heat and a boiler that was leaking badly. I called Dupont Heating and Mario came out to have a look. He knew I was pretty stressed about the situation. He arranged for his staff to install a new boiler that afternoon. I left my son and dog in the company of Mario's team and managed to catch the train with 3 minutes to spare. By early evening the new boiler was installed and working great. I came home on Sunday evening to a nice warm home. I realize now that the old boiler had never worked very well. The difference in heating is amazing. Thank you Mario and team for the great service! They are honest, knowledgeable, efficient and reasonably priced. Mario has my business in the future and I would highly recommend him and his team to family, friends and anyone in need of heating or air conditioning services. Thanks again Mario, I know I will be comfortable this winter.

    Heating Unit

    Our heating unit stopped working yesterday and I called Dupont heating as they had installed it 14 years ago (way before we owned the place). Mario, who is the current owner, showed up this morning and fixed it in 10 minutes. It happened that he actually installed the unit 14 years ago. It was an easy fix. But, I was impressed that he came early on a Sunday morning (in fact he offered to come last night, but it would be a bit late) and everything went so smoothly. We will definitely stick with him for future work with the heating.

    Replace old ductless air conditioner

    Met up with Mario from Dupont Heating and Air Conditioning for a quote on Replacing existing ductless Mitsubishi unit. He provided me a competitive price vs. many quotes. But price is not everything! In addition to the manufactures great warranty. No one provides 3 years labor on the installs. That says something for Dupont. They stand behind there well trained people and work.It,s no wonder they have been in business as long as they have. There technicians showed up on time, kept everything clean, New exactly what they were doing. They even put up with all my questions. Very knowledgeable. Great Job! You will see many more referrals coming your way. [I wait to hear back on the possible rebate from Ontario Power Generation] PS. Our five neighbors are ready to have there furnaces cleaned through Dupont Heating & Air next week. You get an 11 Star Rating!

    conversion of oil furnace to gas

    Mario was extremely helpful and his crew was professional and courteous. He was on site and ensured that the work was completed within the timeframe requested. Ten stars for the whole team!

    New boiler and rad installation

    I Called in numerous companies for quotes on removing an old oil tank and boiler and supply and install new combi boiler, get new gas line to house and relocation of rads in a basement. Mario's quote was by far the best and most detailed. They commenced and finished work when they said they would, the service, and installation was top notch. On a side note I had a highly skilled plumber come in and do some work and he was impressed on how clean and well done the work was I highly recommend Mario and all his staff, they did a fantastic job
