With respect to your "new unit in an open-box", I hope I am understanding correctly that the box was opened upon arrival? If this is the concern, may I reassure you if the contract stated a new unit Dupont can legally only provide a new unit, unless specified on the contract that the costumer has consented to a refurbished unit. Moreover, we often open our boxes to ensure the correct product was delivered before visiting the property with a wrong unit.
