After finishing what could have been a disastrous blind replacement project, I feel compelled to write a review. In the end, Excel shades delivered on what I had originally ordered. It wasn’t however what I was hoping for optically. I made Gabriel aware of this and even though he could have maintained that he did in fact deliver on what he was contracted to do and end the discussion there, his true commitment to customer satisfaction shined through. At no extra cost to myself, Gabriel went ahead and had new customer shades made which better suited my expectations. Excel shades when far above and beyond their obligation to me and will receive referrals indefinitely!

From start to finish Gabriel was courteous and professional. Both Gabriel and Andrea came out to our house to provide us with a cost estimate and advised us on the types of window coverings that would best suit our house. Throughout the waiting process for the window coverings Gabriel consistently contacted me to let me know the status on the shades. I would highly recommend Excel Shades to any of my friends or family members looking for window coverings.

I contacted Gabriel at Excel Shades to book an appointment for a quote to do our house windows. We had a great meeting with him and accepted the quote. Gabriel said the shutters would be ready in about three weeks and so they were! They installed all the shutters in one day! I was stunned when I walked inside the house. It looks so much bigger and brighter! Anyone that needs to make a space bigger and brighter do shutters they definitely do miracles! Thanks Gabriel for a wonderful job.

When we decided to do our kitchen patio window with shutters, we remembered Excel Shades who had done an excellent job a few years ago with other windows in our home. We were so pleased that it was easy to pull out the old invoice and give Gabriel a call. Again the process was handled professionally from the measurements to the installation and the end product is beautiful! We would definitely recommend Gabriel's company!

Once we received the estimate, we emailed back to get a consult and were booked immediately. The service was timely, and everyone we dealt with was friendly and professional. The products and services provided by Excel Shades are nothing short of EXCEPTIONAL. I can't speak highly enough of Gabriel and his installation team. I have had two homes fitted with high-quality, beautiful California Shutters - and have recommended his services to many fully-satisfied family members, friends, and neighbours. Beware if you live in the west end of GTA. He will sell you the product, but will not support it. Its too far from Ajax and gas is expensive. I went with Excel because of a referral and price. A friend of mine recommended Gabriel to me and I found his price very competitive and his initial service very good. I didn’t realize that this was not going to remain that way. The shutters got installed, and there were problems in measurement. Some of the widows had the louvers binding to window locks, so they never opened fully. I left many voice mails for Gabriel, but he never returned my calls. Also, beware that he uses answering service, so he can decide not to return your calls and there is nothing you can do about that. I am very disappointed and will never buy from him again. BTW, just look up Superior shutters, they are the suppliers of Excel and you will find the same great product sold by another reseller..

I was looking around for shutters at various stores and I wasn't impressed with what I saw, not to mention the lack of helpful advice at the big box stores. I submitted an online request for a free in-home consultation by Excel Shades. Five minutes later I had the appointment booked for the exact time I wanted. The quality and look of the shutters is superior to anything I've seen in the market and the prices are very competitive. They take all the measurements so you don't have to do anything other than pick the style(s) of window coverings you want. The installation took place just under two weeks later and took less than 4 hours. Gabriel and his team are very accomodating and an absolute pleasure to deal with. I am one extremely satisfied customer and would recommend Excel Shades to anyone!

Gabriel helped us pick fabrics, design and choose the most suitable window coverings for our entire house. We definately recommend Excel Shades to friends and family.
