Renovation of a older house in mid-town Toronto required replacing of old cast iron piping for a radiant heat system with flexible piping that was hidden in the joists of the ceilings, creating of a 2 zone heating system and installation of multiple european style radiators. After false starts with 2 other incompetant and or expensive Heating firms I found Christian at GTA. Of all the trades I used to complete the renovation GTA was the best. They were very knowledgable, responsive and did a high quality work at a competitive price. Christian was very flexible and responsive in working with other trades to get the job completed on time. I would highly recommend GTA for any heating work you require.

I don't really know much about furnaces and heating, but I called this coming up and they were very patient in helping out. Got an appointment the next day and they found the problem and were able to get my old furnace working again! Thanks so much for the great service.

We reached out to GTA Heating in the spring and after a couple of attempts finally got a hold of Christian to come and quote for a gas line install as well as a rad install for the basement. We decided to have him do the work for the BBQ but the rad install quote didn't have prices for the actual rads, it just included the rough in. Christian indicated that he would requote as a 2 step process so I could see the total cost: Rough In + Return to install rads after finish work was done in the basement. After going more than 2 months without hearing back, we sent 2 separate emails to Christian with no response in early September also indicating that our boiler system was now not functioning at all. When I eventually managed to get a hold of him over the phone, he indicated that he was away on vacation but would get back to me that night when he caught up with his emails. This was more than 2 weeks ago and I still have heard nothing from GTA Heating. Given that I don't have a functioning heating system in the house I have moved forward with finding an alternate heating contractor. The gas line work was done well, the communication has been a disaster and I can't even get responses after having been promised over the phone that I would hear back. This is very disappointing as I went forward with GTA Heating for the original work based on the positive reviews on homestars

After moving the stove to clean underneath, the gas line became kinked and started to leak. After Shutting off the gas I called Christian and explained the situation. Christian ensured we were safe, then we arranged for a visit first thing in the morning. Christian arrived exactly when he said he would, and not only fixed the broken gas line, but also disassembled and re-connected the stove in the correct way (it was clearly not done the right way by the previous home owner.) Very personable and reliable guy, I will definitely be using him again when needed.

We couldn't be happier with the service we received. Christian and co. went over and above to ensure that we were left with a safe, efficient system for our house. They were in and out in a few days and always left everything in tip-top shape. Highly recommended: honest, professional, dependable and thorough.

The first thing I found was he really knows his stuff. He talked about several different products and where some worked better then others. I felt it important that the person talking to me about products and work projects was also the one doing the installation. It was very direct communication, and very friendly. I wasn't looking to invest in a new boiler yet, but GTA Heating has helped me feel confident in the decision I needed to make.

Cannot recommend Christian and his team highly enough. Very reasonable pricing, fabulous approach to the overall problem, solution-oriented. Only the best of materials and the workmanship was just second to none. A few surprises as can happen in an 83 year old home - all taken in stride and resolved. Period. Knows his stuff, has a holistic view of the whole project (including the analysis that we needed a different meter - diagnosed in advance and resolved). We had nothing but problems with our heating system (boiler, instant hot water heater, and in-floor system) since the day it was installed. I contacted Christan by email and had a response (on a Sunday) within an hour! He asked me to send him a photo. In another hour he was on the phone with me, pinting out all the problems with the installation of our system. We made an appointment and he got us all fixed up in 3 days. I don't even recognize our own system for all the changes he had to make. He pointed out several code violations and explained why the original setup would never have worked. We suffered with our system for nearly 2 years with service calls nearly once a month. We have now been running more than a year without a single issue! This guy really knows his stuff! With everyone seemingly very busy during the early winter season, getting prompt attention from a serive provider was not easy. Christian was responsive, incredibly knowledgable and able to pin-point and correct the issue in minutes. I would definitely consider him a "go-to" guy again.

I choose GTA Heating after getting four quotes for the replacement of my oil fired boiler with a gas fired wall mounted condensing boiler and an indirect fired water tank for domestic hot water. While Christian's quote was certainly competitive, it was his knowledge of hot water systems found in older Toronto homes that was the deciding factor for me. He took the time to explain what was involved, how long it would take and what I could expect from the various energy rebate programs offered by the provincial and federal goverments. He was also very helpful in determining where to place the new boiler to gain maximum floor space in my basement. My only negative comment would be that I had to wait several weeks for him to start the job, however to that I would say that the best contractor is usually worth waiting for and GTA is one of the best. I would have not hesitation in recommending Christian and GTA Heating for anyone considering a boiler replacement.
