Review from HomeOwner Review left on 14 Jan 2010Rating: 5 out of 5Dealing with Christian was a breeze. Telephone calls were returned promptly. Very informative. He was kind enough to give us a general quote over the phone so we know what to expect. The final bill was Less than expected - added bonus. Lovely gentleman. We look forward to calling on him when we upgrade our furnace and water tank later this year.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner
Review left on 26 Nov 2009Rating: 5 out of 5Gas line removed
We recently bought a house with a questionable gas line for an outdoor BBQ. The line was all rusted out and the valve would open if someone's foot bumped up against it. Overall, the gas line looked unsafe. I phoned Christian the day before and explained the situation. He came the very next day to remove and cap the line. He was very concerned as we have young children in the home. This guy was busy on another job but he still rushed over to take care of our problem. It was nice to see that level of concern. Thank you, Christian, for caring.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner
Review left on 25 Nov 2009Rating: 5 out of 5radiant heat tubing install
While in the process of getting our basement waterproofed, we decided to get the tubing installed for radiant heating since a new concrete slab would be poured. We brought Christian in to do the work and we were very happy with the work his team did and with the interactions we had with him. He showed up the day before he was scheduled to do the install to make sure everything was ready. The installation of insulation, mesh and tubing took about 3 hours and he took the time to explain everything he did. He was even willing to come in the day before the waterproofing started to strap the hot water tank, something neither Direct Energy nor another contractor were willing to do and despite the weight, it hasn't budged. He's even willing to install a new thermostat for us for no extra charge. We will definitely be bringing him back when it comes time to replace the furnace and ducts in the basement and to install a boiler for the radiant heating.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

I went along with what Rick suggested and am so happy with this big Amana, which is so powerful and quiet and looks great. The men that came even installed a new thermostat for me (no-charge) just being nice. I received the best value and service. Initially the eco auditor had me believe it wasn't high efficiency enough and I fretted, but it was the Eco auditor that was messed up. GTA did a great job. (regret not buying my furnace and tankless water heater from them too!)Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

We need it to install a gas line for our recently purchased stove when we contacted GTA, they came and see the work, gave an estimate when came back to start the work and because there was a minor difference with what they expected to be done, (expected a bigger projected, I guess) they just walked away, not telling a reason. When I contacted them back, Christian just answered ,arrogantly "I am not interested in the job" when I request why didn't he tell me before leaving, he said "you know now." I am shocked to encounter this kind of company that is so unsensitive...Answer from pro:
We quoted the job over the phone with the home owner, who said the basement was mostly finished but it would be easy to install the new gas line. I gave a price of $375.00 to $425.00 installed. When we got to the house to do the job, the basement was 80% drywalled and the new stove is to be located on the opposite side of the house from the gas supply, which is in the unfinished area. We gave the home owner instructions on the drywall that would have to be removed, and drew lines on the walls and ceilings so they knew where the new gas would be run. After a few calls from the home owners, and a contractor that was helping them, they told me the drywall was removed as I had asked, as well as a kicthen cupboard that was in the way. When we returned a few days later the attempt at removing the drywall was poor at best, therefore we were still not able to install the gas line. Furthermore, in some areas the gas line would be exposed and the home owner did not want to see it. We are licensed gas fitters, not drywallers or general contractors, so we do not remove large amounts of drywall to run gas line. We are more than happy to help people attain the living space they desire, and to help home owners do it themselves. We advise home owners on the best solution, which in this case was not to their liking. We also take pride in our work, in which case we will only perform work if we are confident that it can be done properly and to high standards.

Christian and his team did a great job installing a natural gas BBQ line. His initial consultation was detailed and to the point. A quality I respect. The line was installed without a problem and they even managed to remove a hornets nest to get the job done. I would not have an issue recommending or using GTA Heating again.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

Christian was a pleasure to deal with. He was honest and helpful and friendly even though it was new year's eve. He gave me great advice and didn't even charge me for his time. I would highly recommend GTA Heating without hesitation.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

After being screwed around by Direct Energy I called GTA Heating and found Christian to be very helpful and productive in the information he provided me. Although we have not utilized his services (to date) his helpfullness and follow through was a refreshing suprise considering we were not customers of his. If the level of service provided by phone is indication of his work ethic I would highly recommend using him for your next job.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

Arrived within 10 mins to sort out our no heat situation and had a new part sourced and installed within an hour of diagnosing the problem with our furnace. Best part was that they attempted to resolve the problem over the phone to save a house call - really appreciated their efforts! I've booked them to come back this week for a maintenance call to make sure everything else is in working order!
