    Crystal was very helpful on the phone, and the other ladies in the office were helpful too when I went to pay the deposit. The price was lower than other moving companies, but the service was excellent. I have used Jia Jia twice now, and have been satisfied both times.

    Great efficient movers! Definitely have and will continue to recommend to family and friends. All of our belongings were expertly packed and moved and we are very satisfied. 3 factors that went into my decision to hire Jia Jia Moving: - competitive price - reputation (referral from a friend) - excellent customer service pre-move (ease of transaction)

    Cheap and awful

    I have used them many times over the past 3 years (my last review was 3 years ago and I gave them 10/10 then) and normally they are fast and easy going. The last time I used this company (about 6 months ago) was awful. They completely ruined a $2000 new piece of furniture and were not remorseful at all. They could have taken it up the back stairs but instead chose to take it up the front steep staircase and completely smashed the top by trying to force it up without asking me if there was another way. I was busy upstairs unpacking. They took over 10 hours to move a 1+1 bedroom condo (with elevator). Other movers have taken 5 hours to do the same job. They were constantly smoking, were rude and then pretended not to speak English when I had a complaint. On top of all of this, when I tried calling them, the girl on the phone pretended not to speak English either. They refused to reimburse me and said that I would have to pay for the move up front first and then go through their insurance policy (which by the way is based on weight so I would have only been reimbursed a couple of hundred dollars tops) - so be sure to read the fine print on the contract. I was considering taking them to small claims court but I didn't want the stress. The movers also demanded a 10% tip which I refused but Karen then charged my card a service charge the next day without my permission (about 7% of the total). I dealt with Karen at their office and over email after. They also charged me a 1.5 hr travel time which was crazy as I moved 10 minutes from the condo I was moving out of. Visa wouldn't do anything as they confirmed that the move took place - they won't refund a partial amount.

    Moving

    Cheap but got what I paid for, damaged a part of my bed frame and claimed it wasn't them, like some of the previous posters have stated the same. Later to discover they coloured it in with a magic marker, denied it was their fault despite hearing a loud THUD throughout the house. When it came to paying them they demanded more for tip, absolutely rude and would not use them again. I've heard of several stories where they try to rip them off.

    I used Jia Jia in 2004 and was extremely satisfied with the service and rate. No hidden charges. Excellent and fast service. Good customer service follow up, including email communication, and professional movers who understands the importance of moving items with care. AL , Milton, ON.

    Move

    It all started off well. User-friendly website, where one can figure out the cost of the move, without the song & dance routine from a moving company rep. This company was recommended to me by someone who witnesses many moves and the ratings were acceptable. I made it clear that I had heavy antiques and would pay whatever cost required to ensure their safe transportation. I was assured that all items would be wrapped. The crew of three arrived just a little late, surveyed the furnishings to be moved and worked quickly and efficiently - they had a condo-time window, 9 to 5 for elevator use. Late morning, I provided snacks for the crew and they stopped just long enough to eat and drink. I did not watch the loading of the van, but rather the activity in the condo. When we arrived at the new condo, I noticed that many of the large items had been transported on their side or back, not a good idea for old furniture. The unloading went smoothly, when noticed a fresh gouge in a sewing bench, I pointed it out to the team leader, who quickly denied having been responsible. Yes, they seemed to have wrapped all items, but this damage wasn't present before leaving. I let it go because it seemed to be the only damage and the item wasn't of great value. I was, however,miffed at the denial. Even into the late afternoon, the team continued to work very hard. When it came time to pay the bill, I gave each team member a $20. tip. I was informed that this wasn't enough, that the expected tip was 10%, which in our case was a total of $100. It was pointed out to me in the print on the invoice that the 'suggested' tip was 10%. If service companies feel that their employees should be paid an additional 10%, then that percentage should be built in to the fee charged and the tip left to the discretion of the customer. I did pay the $100. tip requested, but it left me feeling somewhat manipulated and what would have been an almost perfect move, turned out to be a disappointment.

    My moving experience with your company and employees were just AMAZING!! They made the day very positive for me, when others tried to make it miserable. For example, they came up with other options when another tenant was late moving out/in and really infringed on my time. They are very flexible and dependable!     3 factors that went into my decision to hire Jia Jia Moving: 1.reliable company 2.professional movers 3.reasonable price I have used JIaJia recently and I had a pretty good experience. The movers are professional, efficient and fast. There is no wasting of time. I definitely will see you guys in the future when I move again
