Kiya and his crew did a fantastic job removing knob and tube from our entire house with limited damage! They were onschedule, on budget, and cleaned up afterward! They also installed pot lights which we were very happy with and Kiya consulted us every step of the way! We woudl definitely recommend Kiya Sunrise Electric in the future.

My wife and I are first time home owners and having to rewire our house was a scary enough prospect but Kiya and his crew were just amazing and put us at ease and were always responsive when we had any concerns. Other contractors offered us shortcut solutions to the job and always seemed hesitant to do more work when we asked. Kiya took on our house without blinking an eye. He checked everything and explained what he planned to do for the job. He always kept us updated and took us on a tour before, during and after it all. Our initial impression of him and his crew was that they were honest and trustworthy. For first time homeowners that is very important. Throughout the job and after it was all done, they definitely demonstrated those qualities. We had to work every day and left them to work during the day. We definitely felt safe doing so. Kiya's customer service is very good. He is dedicated to keeping his customers happy. He took care of the permits and inspection without us asking or lifting a finger. In the beginning there were some scheduling issues BUT this was due to a very significant problem at Kiya's own home. Even though it was understandable, he always kept us as a priority and updated us about any delays. Again very good service!!! There was a miscommunication on my part about some additional work and Kiya's dedication to customer service shone very well here. The result could have been to his benefit and he would not have been wrong BUT our satisfaction with his service was what mattered to him. We are very happy with his resolution. Again, someone else may have chosen to take advantage of first time homeowners. Kiya did not. His crew was very nice and they worked very hard every day until the job was completed ON TIME. They made very few holes. Just my opinion though, since I've never seen rewiring done (I would say less than 15 holes for the whole house). They also dusted, cleaned and plastered/sealed up everything, once the job was done. Kiya's quote was firm and there were no additional costs. He said he would get it done in a certain time at a specific cost and he kept his word. We also had our own light fixtures (inside and outside) and motion switches to install. Kiya saw them and just asked where we wanted everything and even suggested where to get more and he would install them. No additional cost. He put in 3 ways switches and moved outlets/switches to better locations. It was very much appreciated. Also we were not able to afford the additional cost for upgrading our 60 Amp service. Again with no question and no additional cost, Kiya stepped in and checked out our panel and worked out a SAFE modified solution. Now that is service that was worth every penny! After the job was completed, we had a handful of minor issues and Kiya responded quickly and came by at our convenience and took care of everything. I cannot say this enough but he is focused on providing a great experience and service and we definitely consider him as our electrician to call for anything we need in the future.

our tenant called and said the lights went out in half the apt. we checked the fuses and could't find the problem. Kiya responded right away, came over and fixed the problem, and came back right away the next day when another problem was discovered, a simple thing, no charge that time. thank you Kiya Kim in Toronto

A vacuum cleaner plugged into a wall outlet resulted in shutting off a circuit breaker and knocking out a bunch of other plugs. The circuit breaker could not be reset. I called Kiya and he offered to help me for free on the phone, and when that didn't work came to me the next day and solved my problem with thoroughness. He took the trouble of testing every circuit with me present and explained everything in clear terms. I respect his honesty and devotion to honest and competent service.

Frankly, if you want the job done correctly with no hassles and to work with a tradesman who is true to his word, then look no further than Kiya. If he’s more expensive, there’s a reason. This fellow is in demand! My husband & I bought our first home with the knowledge that 20% of the wiring was knob & tube with the possibility that up to 50% could be the old stuff. The insurance company gave us 60 days conditional insurance, so we had to have it 100% gone by end of October. Kiya was very accomodating and although is very much in demand, managed to squeeze us in right away. Potential for a rush job no? But everything went according to his word and completed withint 5 days. We read from other reviews online to that Kiya had charged around $8,000 (all incl.) to convert knob and tube in a similiar home in our neighborhood. When Kiya first came to inspect our house, he instilled confidence in us. He walked into the house & virtually knew exactly what needed to be done within 10 min. He suggested where to put switches and outlets, which made complete sense yet I would never had thought of myself. Then, he somehow predicted that our home probably had close to 100% knob & tube wiring, but we assured him that the previous owners had had a few rooms updated & that it wouldn’t be the whole house. But Kiya is experienced. Within a couple of days, we received an email quotation detailing the work needing to be done & indeed the cost including tax was $8,000. We did obtain a second quotation for $5500 (under the table), but they were no where near as experienced with knob & tube. During the work, lo and behold, Kiya discovered a junction box near the electrical panel which was installed to make it appear like new wires were going into the house from the panel, when in fact they were going a short distance away. So yes, the house did have 100% knob & tube. This did not affect the original quotation at all & although more work needed to be done, they still stuck to the timeframe. Important to note is that they clean up every day, and there was a lot of drilling & plaster dust to contend with. Don’t expect perfection, but the fact that by the time I got home at 5:30, 6:00pm, they had wrapped up & cleaned up enough mess for us to function. We recommend Kiya unreservedly. 10/10

I contracted them to install 3 light fixtures in bathroom. They did a terrible job. They did not know how to centre the light fixtures over the vanity. Complained to me that since there were obstruction like stud and pipe in rear, they cannot be centred. After they finished, the work is looking terrible. I would not recommend them.

Great team of workers. On time, skilled and neat. And on budget. Great advice on how best to approach the project. Followed up to make sure everything was satisfactory - which it was. Would definitely hire them again.He is definitely the best. I would strongly recommend him to all of my clients and friends. thank You
