    Replace Deck/Pergola and Interlock Pad

    I wanted to wait a couple of years before writing this review to see how the new deck/pergola performed; they're wonderful! Alex was prompt and attentive in coming over to give us an estimate. We decided to have an ipe wood decking with hidden clip system and cedar pergola installed. He came up with creative and attractive design ideas. He and his team arrived bright and early every morning and left the site tidy each night. The speed in which his team worked was impressive and they completed the work in a week! I would highly recommend Master Deck and Contracting.

    Replacement of Cedar Deck, Planters and Gate

    Fantastic work! Alec, Tim and crew started by doing an amazing job of rebuilding the under structure of our two level deck. The job was a straight replacement but they took the time to put in several extra footers and creatively worked around a large tree root that emerged in recent years. Alec made a number of suggestions for improving the look of the deck and the two large built-in planters and we are very happy with the results. All lighting, irrigation lines and pool cover anchors were carefully removed and replaced. Overall, the job was done efficiently and very professionally. These guys definitely know what they are doing.

    Alec is the best!

    Alec and his crew are always on time and have a smile in their faces. They are efficient and do a great job. He came by three times on different Saturdays before we could decide to go ahed with a close to the ground big ceder deck. He bought dry good quality ceder.

    Removal of old deck and new Azek deck, privacy screen and pergola

    We absolutely love our new deck, privacy screen and pergola! Alec and his amazing crew came in and removed our old deck and hot tub and replaced with an Azek deck with glass railings, cedar privacy screen and pergola. We met with several contractors for quotes, but we were most impressed with Alec and his honest approach and efforts to ensure we were getting the most bang for our buck. Alec clearly has a lot of experience and is very knowledgeable and we felt very confident in his ability to get the job done right! Alec and his crew were very professional, courteous, hard-working (even through the rainy days!) and cleaned up the job site every day after they left. We were also very impressed that Alec took the time and effort to pick out the best cedar possible for our project. Even our neighbours commented on the work ethic of the crew! Alec and team worked efficiently and diligently and clearly take pride in their work. Everyone who has seen our deck absolutely loves it, and we would absolutely recommend and use Alec and his crew again in the future!

    Amazing work

    Alec and his crew showed up on time every single day even in the hot sun. I could not believe how efficient, accommodating, and quickly they constructed our deck. I would refer them to friends and family and anyone else looking without hesitation. Thank you for all your work Alec.

    New fence and deck

    We love our new Deck and Fence! We had an old fence and deck removed and replaced by Alec, Tim and their crew. They did it on time and on budget. They were professional, courteous, and boy do they work fast. Highly recommended.

    Demolish old deck and replace with new Azek 2-tired deck

    We got 3 quotes from highly rated companies found in HomeStars, and decided to go with Master Deck because of Alec’s honest and straight shooter approach. While another contractor insisted that they would tear down an existing fence and overhang and charge us again to replace it, Alec was perfectly comfortable with working around the structures. I realized that the other contractor probably wanted to do the job as fast as possible instead of taking the care to work around obstacles. Alec and his crew arrived by 8 am every morning and worked diligently with professionalism to demolish and build our new deck, braving some cold/windy weather in April! Alec was easy to work with and accomdodated my specific design requests with a no-fuss, no-muss attitude. They even went above my expectations and raccoon-proofed around the base of the new deck, and fixed a few loose things around the fence for us. We’re so glad we chose to go with Alec and his crew at Master Deck, and his quote was very fair. We can’t wait to enjoy our new deck now! Keep up the good work guys!

    Good quality work. We love our porch!

    Not that these guys need another good review....but-- I just have to commend Alec and his crew on the great job they did on our deck. There was a miscommunication initially about what kind of pillar we expected but Alec was quick to accommodated our request. We required masonry work, which Alec contracted out, and that was a good qualmity job too. They tore down and rebuilt our deck in 3-4 days. Our neighbours even commented on how's professional they were. Can't say enough good things about this company!

    Deck/Fence installed to perfection!

    Alec and his crew installed our new deck and fence to perfection! That is saying a lot from a guy who is a perfectionist! These guys have been around a long time and it shows in the quality and pride of workmanship. They were so easy to work with and very accommodating as we made some slight design changes during the build process. The overall cost of the project was very fair and it was completed on time and on budget. Without a doubt, we would strongly recommend Alec and his crew for any deck/fence install and will definitely bring them back when we're ready to revamp our front porch. Thanks so much for the awesome work! As an FYI, everybody who has seen it loves it!

    Cedar deck and new gate in three days.

    Alec and his crew did a great job on our new deck. His team was efficient, professional, and tidy. They were on time and on budget. The workmanship and attention to detail surpassed my expectations. We have and will recommend Master Deck in the future. Very happy customers indeed.
