Mega City Roofing is an excellent company. They leave the site clean, communicate properly, do an excellent job, and exude trust. Tom at Mega City is always available and easy going to talk to. He cares about customer service, and getting things right.

Tom is a good guy - very flexible and always responds promptly. He is also very good in shingle consultation (color, make). They did our roof around the end of August and I waited to write a review to see how it is. Needless to say, we had a lot of rains including the 50mm+ a couple of days ago and no leak at all. Roof looks fantastic and we have the peace of mind that it will stay the same for the years to come. His crew is also polite and cleans up really well. They left our backyard spotless. Highly recommended! Keep up the good work guys!

My wife and I decided it was time to to change our roof and and did our thorough homework in the process. We had spent a fair amount of time checking out reviews on companies and their respective rankings on HomeStars. We wanted to get several quotes for the job and without a doubt, Tom of Mega City Roofing Inc was the guy who really impressed us the most. Out of 11 quotes, he was the only one who actually asked us for our business. A few of the quotes thought they were getting the business just for showing up! We finally decided on Mega City Roofing as we were confident they would get the job done right and we were not dissapointed. We found Tom to be a true professional in his field and definitely knows what he is talking about when it comes to roofing! Tom and his crew showed up as promised and after a Timmy's run, everyone got to work. I replaced my shingles with Tom's highly recommended GAF HD Timberlines. They are much higher rated quality than both IKO and BP (for not much more $ than the competitor's prices for their higher quality shingles). They have a nice 3D effect on the roof with great definition. They should last 30 years according to warranty and with the prep work we had done, we're hoping that's the case! I can only say that after about a month they look simply amazing! Tom was also instrumental in helping us choose the right color...great decision....they look great! During the instalation Tom's guys were very professional and worked through the entire project systematically, with great care and all the while demonstrating excellent pride in workmanship. Like I said, these guys are pros and it was a great experience to watch and participate in the job (I did get to use the magnetic broom!). The job site was kept clean and the guys went to every effort to cover bushes and equipment (ie AC, glass doors, fountain etc) to protect from falling shingles and debris. Although our house is relatively new (11 yrs), we had the old roof completely stripped down to the wood and replaced with ice and water shield where necessary, 24" metal valleys, new collars, flashing where necessary, new vents and the new shingles. One of the fellows unfortunately had to leave the site early and the crew was down a man. As opposed to rushing thru the job, they opted to complete a small area the next day and were promptly on the job the following morning to finish up. I wasn't at the house the 2nd morning to see them off, however, when I got home, I was so impressed with the finished job. It is simply outstanding! We are very grateful to Tom and his fantastic crew @ Mega City Roofing. I can't say spending the money is fun but I can say that we did get what we paid for and we could not be more pleased. The footprint of our house is roughly 1500 square feet and we had the entire roof replaced with new shingles. Tom is great to work with, responsive, and from a pricing perspective was very reasonable. He was very flexible in the work we wanted done. For example, although he didn't typically use synthetic materials for the underlayment, he was happy to use it for our house at our request. The one criticism I would have is with respect to their experience. It seems that they have done a lot of jobs (at least from what I can see on homestars given the number of reviews), but I got the impression it was the first time they used synthetic underlayment when they used it on our house. Nonetheless, it appears that the job was done well and done quickly. Thanks guys! I really appreciate the work!

Tom and his crew did a fantastic job! The quoting process was simple, all my questions were answered promptly and the price was right! The crew showed up when they said they would, they were quick, cleaned up after themselves and the new roof looks great! There were two layers of shingles already on the roof, so a complete removal was necessary. Shortly after completion I received several comments regarding how clean the property looked considering the amount of work done. Thanks again guys!

What can we say about Tom, Mega City Roofing and his crew? Wow…awesome job all around guys! Tom is absolutely terrific to deal with. He is honest, reliable, personable, and gave us a very fair and reasonable price. Tom thoroughly answered all of our roofing related inquiries, and let us know exactly what we did and didn’t need to get done. Despite several other roofing companies trying to talk us into spending thousands of more dollars, Tom was very forthright in telling us what was simply a waste of money. We were initially undecided about which color shingles to use, and Tom was extremely patient with us bringing us several samples on numerous occasions without hesitancy. He returned each of our phone calls immediately, and started the job when he said that he would. He also had a large enough crew that our roof was completed in one day. His crew worked very hard and meticulously on an extremely hot and humid day, and Tom was on site the entire time. Tom and his crew also took great care in covering our windows and air conditioning unit, and ensuring that not one nail was left behind after clean up (which was very important to us having children/pets playing in the area). At our request, Tom also referred us to an excellent company for installing eavestroughs, and again, we are very happy with the end results. Both our roof and eaves look fantastic. We highly recommend Tom, Mega City roofing and his crew to get the job done right. Great job guys, we couldn’t be happier. I had a problem with my skylight so I checked HomeStars and found Tom from Mega City Roofing. Tom's response was very fast and professional. He checked my skylight, did the necessary repairs very professionally. Very happy and satisfied with his work.

After extensive research for a reliable and honest roofing company, we went with Mega City Roofing and we are so glad we did! Our research showed they were one of the best and so did other trade workers and homeowners. They weren't the cheapest company or the highest priced company, but we figured this is one of the most important investments in our home so we didn't want a fly-by-night company. Tom and his workers are just great...hard-working, reliable and did a thorough job cleaning up all the debris. A few reasons why they stand out from the competition is because Tom stayed on-site for the entire job, patiently answered all our questions, always returned our calls promptly, and was true to his word. What more can we say...Mega City is a 10!

We wanted to install a bathroom fan in our older home (85+ years) last fall, but when we had roofers come to quote the job, it was pretty clear that we would have to remove the 4-5 existing roof layers and start over to avoid any problems down the road. Mega City was competitively priced, professional, and Tom was very reassuring. We were worried that the force of removing our old roof might disturb our plaster ceilings, but everything remained intact and Mega City did a great job of cleaning up after they were done. The flat portion of our roof (just over half of our semi-detached house) was replaced in one day. In the spring of this year, we found a roof vent on our deck and Tom came by the following day to check our roof. The vent ended up coming from a neighbouring roof, but we were happy with the follow-up service after the work was done. Definitely a positive experience.

When we bought our home, the big thing the home inspector kept mentioning was that the roof needed to be re-shingled, and the flat roof needed to be redone to take care of any ice damming. We ignorantly ignored this until this past winter we suffered moderate leaking due to ice damming. After explaining the story to several roofing companies and getting some ridiculously low quotes for substandard work with no guarantees, and other ridiculously high quotes - also with no guarantees against ice damming - Tom from Mega City Roofing provided us with a very reasonable quote while explaining exactly what he had in mind to deal with the problem we had in the winter, with a guarantee that this would alleviate it. The job was finished in less than a day, and when we got home there was no trace or evidence that anyone had been at our property except for a fantastic new roof! Thanks Tom and team!
