Re-shingle Roof
From start to finish a great experience by a team that cares about quality. Mega City is clearly successful because they provide exceptional service at a fair price, but most importantly because Tom cares about your satisfaction. We had our roof stripped and re-shingled, Tom and his team arrived on-time, were professional, accommodating, and courteous. Due to problems with the weather earlier in the month, we also had to schedule rebuilding our chimney on the same day. Having two different companies on the roof at the same time could have been a problem, but Tom and his team made it easy. Because the chimney would not be completed before the roof, Tom offered to come back in two days and finish the flashing on the chimney, and do a final inspection. Two days later Tom was on the roof to finish the job, as promised, no hassle. Tom clearly takes pride in his company, and there wasn't any aspect of the job he did not care about doing right, or making right afterwards. Mega City did an excellent job, I would without hesitation, and have already, recommended Tom and his team to neighbors and friends. The only downside to the whole experience is I won't need to call them again for 25 years ;-) Thanks Tom John C.

new roof
Congratulations to Tom and his crew. They were punctual, courteous, professional and thorough. Adam, the site foreman, was very caring and ensured that everything was completed to our satisfaction. My son had his roof done the previous day and he was also very pleased. The job is excellent and the cleanup was first rate. We will certainly recommend them. It is good to deal with a company that delivers as promised. Well done!!!!

Replacement of small, flat roof.
Working with Mega City roofing was an excellent experience. The flat roof over our sunroom was leaking into our kitchen, which was very stressful. Tom came by the house, assessed the problem, and gave me a quote - which he stuck to. He and his crew came on time and finished early. They were friendly, and did a great job of cleaning up. The work is superb, and he called the next day (after a heavy rain) to check in. I'd strongly recommend Mega City Roofing to anyone.

flat roof repairs
We are very happy to sincerely write a testimonial for Mega City Roofing. Owner Tom was great, prompt, courteous and completely dependable and his crew of Adam, Alvin, and Juan very pleasant on sight and, despite some interpersonal nuisances among our small group of condo owners, were unflappable, gracious, worked hard long days, and did several small extras without being asked.We'd had bad experiences with unscrupulous roofers before Mega City, and cannot recommend them more highly. Finally our flat roofs are repaired properly by good people. Special thanks to Tom and crew.

Roofing work
We needed to have our roof replaced as it was past its useful life as one can tell from the pictures. I had 4 or 5 companies come and provide an estimate. We had offers ranging from extremely low priced to ridiculously expensive. I cannot stress enough how important it is for one to do his homework BEFORE talking to contractors ! Do your research not only on the companies but also on the roofing process itself - what's involved, the most important terms and what they mean, materials used and the difference in quality etc. There is plenty of information on the web and you don't need to become a roofing expert but 3-4 hours of research will pay for itself many times over. The reason is that you must understand at least the basics of roofing so that when the estimators come you will understand what they are telling you and have an idea of what to expect. In short, here is why we went to Tom and his company MegaCity Roofing: - MegaCity responded to our request for a quote very promptly - Tom was very thorough in explaining every detail of the job and the different options we have with their advantages and disadvantages - He manages his own crew and no sub-contractors are used - MegaCity is registered with BBB with good standing - they have a very high rating on homestars.com - the important part here is that the ratings go back several years and are consistently good - the price was reasonable - we were not looking for the cheapest option anyway and were ready to pay a bit more for quality work (within reason) given the importance of the work We were not disappointed. Pretty much everything went as planned. - the work started on schedule - the crew was skilled and professional - we had two previous layers of shingles that had to be removed - so lots of waste came from the roof but the site was well prepared for the job - the clean-up job was outstanding - I found only 2-3 nails after the finish and they had fallen between the cracks of our back yard patio - Tom followed up to make sure that everything was fine a few days after completing the work. Great job and we would not hesitate to recommend this company to other people!

New Roof
I was an easy sale, as i was going to get a new roof regardless. Nevertheless Tom was a very good to work with and he carried himself professionally. He returned calls very quickly and given the susceptibility to weather roofers are forced to work around, Tom/Megacity accommodated my schedule as best he could. And after the job was complete, he even got an eaves trough guy he knows to do some quick eaves work for me at a excellent price. I have an old house, with several layers of shingles, including the original cedar shingles and the MegaCity crew started and finished in just one day. They cleaned up very well too. I was disappointed in that i feel i had some work done that probably did not need to be done. I could complain a lot more about that - but at the end of the day, as long as the work that was done was done right. I'm not a roofer, but as far as i can tell, they did a fantastic job.

flat roof
After calling Tom in January, he came right away to give us an estimate and answered all our questions face to face. Then they worked in winter weather for 4 days. Our flat roof drains very well now and we are very grateful for the expertise that Tom and his staff have provided. Even though that price tag wasn’t cheap, the workmanship and quality of the roof was definitely worth it. We sleep a lot better at night. Thank you!

excerllent job
Tom's team did an excerllent job for my roofing. He had a top supervisor, Jeff and Adam, who led the people in providing the good quality and clean environment. although his price was little bit high, but you got the matching quality. Mega city hire two people dedicated for picking up the garbages. In contrast, my neighbour felt lot of pains when they hired cheaper roofing company. Tom is a great guy for communication and made you very happy. he delivered what he promised. I strongly recommended this company.

Roofing
UPDATE: March 6, 2012 Had a terrible windstorm last weekend. Found a few shingle strips in my backyard. I wasn't sure if they belong to my roof or my neighbour (we both have the same style and colour). I notified Tom and he sent someone from his crew to inspect my roof the next day. Everything was fine for me...wasn't my roof. How's that for customer service almost 4 years later! ************************************ I got estimates from the top 3 roofers (in my area) based on Homestar reviews. Tom was the only one who promptly showed up for the appointment that fit my schedule, gave me a written detailed estimate face-to-face, patiently answered my questions, did not use any sales pressure tactics or critize his competitors to make himself look better. Upon completion of the job, the area was left clean and the roofing job was excellent. I could not observe any shortcuts, when we had follow-up questions afterwards. Tom answered our questions. I would recommend Mega City Roofing, for their professionism and customer service.

Roof Replacement
I am very impressed with Mega City Roofing. We had both a shingled roof and a flat roof replaced. The team was always prompt, efficient, respectful, and a delight to work with. Tom was very knowledgeable, and always eager and willing to answer fully all questions that I might have (no matter how silly I thought that some were!). He was so easy to talk to and very easily accessible which was extremely reassuring to me. Their work was high quality work, at good prices too. I give them my highest recommendation. Thank you!
