After an experience at UpCountry that I wouldn't wish on anyone, we finally ended up at GH Johnson's based on a friend recommendation. Everything was amazing - we got the same price on the same furniture that we'd 'purchased' at Upcountry - only at Upcountry that price was their 40% off sale price. We were told delivery would be 6 to 8 weeks and it arrived, delivered by two lovely and polite gentlemen, at 5 1/2 weeks. The furniture was exactly as ordered, in perfect condition. We are very very pleased, and will definitely use GH Johnson again.

Referred to Johnson's and had a great experience. Staff were very knowledgeable in helping us select fabrics and styles for our couches and chairs. Prices were more competitive than all other retailers. We were told that the order would take between 6-8 weeks and it arrived within 4 weeks, delivered to our front door. It was truly refreshing to see a retailer exceed our expectations as others we dealt with not have the professionalism or integrity of Johnson's. They were on the phone periodically ensuring us that the order was placed, again when it was in transit from the US and when it arrived at their warehouse. I would highly recommend Johnson's as they were able to deliver on every promise they made.

While searching for furniture through Toronto,I was told on three separate occasions to try G.H. Johnson. Found it at last. So much to choose from. I spent hours trying to make up my mind. Picked out two beautiful chairs. The staff was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and patient. I was impressed. The furniture was sent from over seas. I understood this would take some time. It was well worth the wait. My chairs are perfect. They are located at 950 Dupont Street. There are no signs on the building. Business seems to be through word of mouth. The quality is outstanding and the prices are unbeatable. I highly recommend G.H. Johnson.

Over many years I have referred friends and business associates to G. H. Johnson's.The huge selection of quality furniture from around the world at unbeatable prices is a major factor for anyone furnishing their home. The professional staff of sales persons are not pushy and they have a deep knowledge of the products offered. Some are interior designers and their extensive knowledge of colors, fabrics and groupings certainly can be helpful.Since the products come from a wide variety of sources and at great distances, time factors are often affected by delays. Furthermore, items that are scratched, chipped or damaged in some way ...often have to be repaired or replaced. If that particular product has been customized for the customer.... replacement may take some time. Hence, a few customers can experience delays...and frustration. Overall....I have never received anything but praise for G. H. Johnson's. They are certainly number ONE with all of my referrals. Jon from High Park, Toronto

These folks need to learn about customer service - it took 12 weeks for our bed to arrive and, when we told the folk that the salesperson assured us 4 - 6 weeks, they professed that the problem was the distributor. As if their assurance to us counted for nothing - which, I guess, was the only right thing they said. We worried that they were going under but, with their huge reno, I guess not.

Worst company I have ever dealt with period. Poor customer service, cheaply constructed furniture, poor return policy, delivery is never on time. Shop anywhere else to save yourself from a huge headache. Now on to my "experience"... I purchased a dresser from g h johnson which was delivered late, 2 hours late, The delivery people left without checking the product for any problems, the dresser had a broken foot. They offered to replace the dresser tuesday of the following week, they showed up on thursday with a dresser full of scratches and touch up marks. Once again I patiently waited for my dresser and low and behold the third delivery was yet again a flawed dresser full of touch up paint which didn't match the existing color. Furious at this point, I demanded a full refund which they do not offer, they only offer 70% of the purchase price with a 30% restocking fee regardless of who is at fault. It has been almost 2 months since I purchased this dresser and I have yet to receive it. g h johnson will not return any of my phone calls. A very poor company to deal with, stay away, go to The Brick or something

The furniture was great in quality and selection was outstanding. Was very disappointed with the customer service as they told me it would take 4 weeks, but really took over 20 weeks. The owner could care less of the complaints and did nothing to compensate me for the time wasted to get it. Everytime I called, I was passed around, and everyone kept passing the buck and blaming the other person.

In September we saw their sign that said if we ordered now our furniture would be delivered by Christmas. That didn't happen. Another call at the beginning of January and they confirmed our bed was in Vancouver awaiting shipping to Toronto. It's now Jan 31, and apparently our bed was in a fire in the factory in Thailand. Now we will not get it until April. Their story keeps changing! We had heard that they had terrible delivery schedules - but this is rediculous. Just tell me the truth, then I can make an informed decision

High quality wood furniture, the wood is so beautiful and the workmanship is super. The prices are the best in toronto. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Delivery is on time. Don't shop any where else for your bedroom furniture

I bought furniture for my new place from GH Johnson and it has been well over 3 months now to arrive. I went to speak to the president/ceo and though he will now be giving me the furniture at cost and was accommodating that way, I still feel that I've been had. I put a $3000. deposit down and never received my furniture. I am still waiting.
