    Replacement of fill valve

    Tech did a replacement for a fill valve and was in and out within half an hr. Very professional. Have been using milani for years !

    Fast and professional

    Milani Plumbing

    I used Milani to repair a simple faucet leak of a bathtub. I was extremely disappointed at the service. The repair person seemed inexperienced, and he broke the screw inside the faucet so he couldn't fix the issue and ended up creating a bigger problem. Milani did send him back with a more senior plumber, but despite being at home all day long, the problem was not fixed. A few months later I got slapped with a very large bill - despite the the fact that they created a larger problem and didn't fix my leak!! of note, the visa card was given to them to hold the original appointment and I never authorized the transaction - so do be careful if giving out your card number.

    Do not use Milani Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning

    Milani Plumbing & Heating sent an estimator to my home and then quoted me $12,399 to install a new furnace and air conditioning unit. I accepted the quote and when they had started the furnace installation, they said they needed to charge me an additional $2,000 for additional duct work that their estimator had not allowed for. After some argument, I agreed. Immediately after the furnace had been installed, I complained that the furnace flue had not been installed in a satisfactory manner and furthermore, the piping for the flue made it impossible to change furnace filters without first bending the filter in half. I was told that a second crew would be coming out to install the exterior condenser for the air conditioner and they would take a look at the flue installation. That happened a few weeks later and the crew agreed that it was not done as it should have been. I was then told by their sales person that they would send someone back to rectify this problem. After a further delay, I noticed that they had charged the balance of the contract amount to my VISA without any approval from me. When I contacted them again, a manager told me that he would send someone out in a couple of weeks but his manager had told him that they would need to charge me $500 because the installation was "to Code". I asked him to have his manager phone me and he said he would. After waiting a week with no word, I called and left a message again asking him to have the manager call me. I'm still waiting and I doubt that I'll receive a call back. While the installation may satisfy the gas Code, it violates the District of North Vancouver noise bylaw since the flue outlet is right on our neighbour's property line and very noisy. Furthermore, regardless of any Code compliance, a furnace installation with no proper access for filter replacement is definitely not an acceptable installation.

    Sump pump stopped working

    Claude came and checked the sump pump because it was overflowing. He quickly repaired a rusted shut valve and got it going perfectly again. He was very personable and professional. I would highly recommend Claude and Milani Plumbing again. S.D. North Vancouver

    A loyal customer received consistently poor work

    We had this company install our basement sump system a few years back and they did an astonishingly poor job repairing the concrete foundation wall around their new pipes that led to the outside of the house. The foundation wall leaked from the time of installation and several attempts by the technicians to come back and fix the problem (always at a premium charge to us) only made the problem worse. I have since read similar reviews of this company doing extensive damage to several homes by incompetent technicians and then charging owners hefty fees to never really fix the damage they caused. Given how much time and money we've spent dealing with this plumbing outfit, we cannot in good conscience recommend them. If you value the investment in your home and don't wish to have it damaged, I would encourage you to look elsewhere.

    Shower cartridge repair

    Yesterday I had Ali K. from Milani come to fix a broken cartridge in my shower. He was on time, put on his booties on coming into the house, worked quickly and cleaned up after he finished. More than that, he showed me each step of the way what he was fixing and how the system worked. Now I understand what is going on behind the walls. At my request, he fixed an additional two shut off valves (which was not part of the original call in) again taking the time to explain why they started weeping slightly when I shut off the water to the shower. Finally, with some extra, still new, parts I had in a box he exchanged parts on my shower faucet handle that showed wear. I was more than impressed. What started off as a cartridge repair ended up as a shower that works 100% again and looks brand-new and at a very reasonable cost. His workmanship and attention to detail went way over and above what I expected!
