    The great ceiling pipe burst drama

    A pipe burst in the ceiling of the kitchen. Milani took care of it very quickly, expertly, and with minimum fuss. Simply the best. Afterwards I thought I would have to deal with getting the ceiling dried out, re-drywalled, and etc. Milani has people who take care of such things, so it really is one stop shopping. I can't recommend them highly enough. Great service, fair pricing, and a dedication to old world craftsmanship of the highest order. Impressive.

    Bathroom Plumbing Repairs

    In anticipation of a reno project involving our two bathrooms which was starting the following day, I decided to attempt to close the toilet shutoff valves, as they were quite old. That started a leak that I couldn't stop with water flowing down into the basement. I ultimately turned off the water supply to the entire house, and had a very uneasy sleep that night. I called Milani in the morning. They arrived within two hours, as promised. The plumber was courteous, efficient the work was done at a high quality level. Best experience ever.

    Flood was worst after the repair than before!

    I called the emergency number because i had water dripping for days out of a fitting and the basement was starting paddle up. Rob i believe was his name came within 1 hr( i paid a premium surcharge for him to come in fast ) to diagnose the problem . He replace the whole fitting and the dripping stopped . He guaranteed me that this is my only problem and his work. 2 days later , when i went down to my crawl space , there was a flood in there, i went back up to the place that he had replaced and found water spraying out of that area. I called the emergency line again and another guy came and replace a new cap . This on a Sunday morning when i had to rush for a very important event! The plumber came and fixed the problem fairly quickly, he said that the last plumber might have over tighten the cap causing it to break and came apart and water spraying out. Before he left he had to cheek, he tell me, and i quote " i will call the office and ask them how to invoice you. " i told him i will not pay and sent him out . This is after i paid a surcharge for the 1st time and with a 30days warranty.!!!!! Adding to this review on June 8 : Without my authorization, Milani charged my credit card an extra $189 dollars . I will be seeking legal advice on this matter.

    Cleaning out a drain, that was totally blocked

    Claude C. spent hours trying and succeeding to clear a drain from the top floor of a more than 100 year old house. There was no obvious clean-out so access was very difficult. He persevered and completed the job well, so that the bathroom sinks drained well.

    New gas boiler and indirect water tank

    We had Milani install a new gas boiler with an indirect water tank. They were easy to deal with, the lead time was good and the installers were friendly, did a good job and stayed late to finish the install in one day.

    Plumbing

    My plumbers name was AJ and he was a very respectful person. He explained what was wrong, options available to me and what he was doing as he went along. I am very happy with the work and I will go back if/when another issue arises.

    Furnace Check-up

    Had a call from Milani early in the week reminding me that my less than 2 year old furnace was do for a check-up. I arranged to have them come on Saturday morning and Firoz arrived right on time. While he was there I mentioned that one of the vents has a rattle when the furnace is running. He took the time to examine the vent and found the problem (a large piece of old paint). Firoz worked in a friendly and professional manner while on site and did an excellent job.

    Water heater

    Water heater check valve was clogged, phoned Milani and set up a replacement. Them came as promised, phoned before arrival and did a great job. Mo was very good and informative, he was a pleasure to work with. Two items I would suggest. 1- customer service people should have diagnostic knowledge, no one wants to spend money on an " I think" 2-addition items such as code mandated chimneys and expansion tanks should be part of the install, no one needs $$$ surprises

    Excellent service

    Upon return from vacation, when the furnace kicked in, the smell of raw natural gas being pumped around the house was obvious. WE immediately shut down the furnace. After phoning Milani, we had a service technician, Mike, arrive promptly as promised. He reviewed the furnace, diagnosed the problem, which was minor, but important, being a gas heat thermocouple, cleaned it , and we were set to go. This is our first introduction to Milani, and we were very satisfied.

    Heating service

    Farid was excellent from Milani! He was very friendly and did a thorough clean throughout the house. I will use Milani from now on for any plumbing and heating services.
