They have come to our home three days in a row and still no heat and it is the middle of winter. We waited over the weekend and they don't call us on Monday, so I finally call them early in the afternoon on Monday. Hello, remember us? At that point, they say the needed part was ordered that morning and "may" arrive tomorrow so they "might" come out Tuesday afternoon and fix it. Then, at 4:30 pm on Monday (just before the end of the business day), they call and say they don't know what the problem is so they could try a few things and order some parts but it will cost more money and they won't guarantee anything will be fixed. He even suggested that the problem was that I did not give them a manual for the unit (which was untrue?) I would not recommend this company unless you don't care if the repair is done and you have money to burn. UPDATE: My husband was able to work on the furnace Monday night and get it to work by using his tools and electrical know how. The next day, an experienced worker came and replaced the part my husband diagnosed as needing to be replaced. Now we have heat. Yay! Thanks to my hubby!Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

6 days later and I'm still waiting for Milani Plumbing and Heating to even call me about my failed furnace. I contacted several furnace service companies and was impressed with the sales rep over the phone. I hired them with confidence. But when my furnace failed during a cold snap Milani failed to call me and failed to show for a schedule service call and 6 days later still has not contacted me. I am very disappointed and want to provide this review so other will avoid disppointment. Due to the loss of heat I became ill and am still recovering.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

We booked an appointment for Wednesday before noon, and they phoned just before the appointment time to defer it to 2pm. It was past 2pm and we were still waiting for them, so we called them up to see what was up. The person on the phone put us on hold, and afterwards told us that they had to cancel our appointment. So we rescheduled it for the day after. The next day comes, and the guy's on time. He looks at the job and claims that he's going to need 4 hours to finish it, and that he needs to call another guy to help. We asked for a quote from them before, and they had said that the job should take no more than 2 hours. We asked the guy again, and he insists that the job will take 4 hours, and that we're going to need to wait until he calls the other guy to come help, so he'll just 'examine' it in the meantime, meaning that we would have to pay for the time that it takes for the other guy to get here as well. So we decided to cancel the job, as we seriously think that they were trying to rip us off.Answer from pro:

$280 test became $1600 headache. 1 appoinment turned 5. Never on time, cancellations, and multiple excuses. instead of exchanging rubber "o" ring the whole part was exchanged at an additional cost. Was booked to come, changed the time, then billed for additional time, travel, truck all for a part that did not need to be replaced. unprofessional billing personel.Answer from pro:

Milani plumbing took six hours to do a two hour job and then tried to bill me for it. During that time, their employee placed the bath/ shower faucet too high and couldn't install the tub drain pipe- I had to do that. After seven months of haggling they reduced the bill from $750.00 to $397.00. Fortunately, I am a tiling and painting contractor so I knew what to look for and how to correct their mistakes. For the average homeowner- beware!!!Answer from pro:

We felt this company didn't have the expertise and knowledge of the repair. They wanted us to replace the whole unit when the unit was only two years old. We will not be calling them again.Answer from pro:

When our sewer backed up, we called Milani to clear it. Not only did they clear it, they found the cause (roots from a tree on City of Vancouver land that was damaging the sewer line) and went out of their way to prove to the city that it was the City who was responsible, and that it wasn't one of the trees on our property that had damaged the city sewer lines. They saved us $6,000 in sewer replacement which the city had wanted to charge us.
