We contacted Mister Wood about having our staircase refinished to match our new hardwood floors. Darlene and Jeremy came and did an outstanding job! The stain was a perfect match, it couldn't have been better. The staircase looks completely brand new and we were so pleased to see the transformation from our red stairs to dark brown. We tend to go to HomeStars for recommended service providers. This time, we were looking to restore the dark wood wainscoting and staircase in our front hall, and to restore the wainscoting in our dining room. The positive reviews on Mister Wood stood out. Darlene is knowledgeable, friendly and along with her very competent and professional team of Bob, Jeremy and Matt, they did an excellent job in restoring the wood that included stripping the stain, sanding the wood, restaining and lacquering. It is a very labour intensive job. We are delighted with the quality work and excellent results. We highly recommend Mister Wood.

Inquired about staining the staircase to match the hardwood. Called Darlene for a quote, she came for a visit within a week. The quote was very good compared to other companies. 3 days later the work was complete and the results were amazing. Mr Wood did an amazing job staining the stairs and the match to hardwood for unbelievable. the crew cleaned everything up after the work was complete and the results were incredible. I would recommend them to anyone. Great service and great workmanship.

I was lucky to have found Darlene the owner of Mister Wood. It is hard to find craftsmen doing in-house wood refinishing which means they are very busy. Darlene and her team do meticulous work. The process is very time consuming and just stripping, sanding and staining a staircase handrail took 2 days. The quote was very reasonable ( I have paid much more to non specialists for this kind of work). I would gladly use Darlene and her team again.

My wardrobe doors were damaged during a house move. Mr Wood repaired the doors very quickly and they look good as new. An outstanding job. Very helpful and easy to work with.

Our honey-coloured solid oak door and adjacent panels had become weather-worn. The stain had turned from a honey colour to an orange shade, so it was time to fix it. I requested 3 quotes from local vendors and decided that Mister Wood was my preferred choice. They provided good advice and a more creative approach to our colour choice. The work took part of 4 days while they stripped off the old finish, sanded, stained and varnished the door. The door looks fantastic. They brought the equipment that they needed, kept a clean work site and left the site in excellent condition. They work with high- quality products.
