We bought a brand new home and the builder wanted $8000 to stain 2 flights of our Oak staircase with the same color as our hardwood floor. After reading reviews on Homestars, we decided to go with Mister Wood to get this done ourselves. Darlene and Jeremey did a fantastic job matching the color to my floors. The work was fantastic and they came back a number of times for touch ups after I paid them. I would recommend them to any of my friends and family.

We had a custom maple staircase installed as part of a new reno and were left to finish on own. First attempt was a failure as maple didn't take stain well so looked online and found this company and were pleased they would travel outside conventional GTA. Darlene, Jeremy, and Gary worked long travels to maximize time here and minimize travel inefficiencies and job turned out wonderfully, despite it's many complexities and having to take steps to right earlier wrongs. Very happy with colour match and finish detail.

We chose Mister Wood from Homestars and they did beautiful work on our unfinished oak stairs. Quite a bit of sanding and care needed to be taken as we had paint splatter and drips from a previous painter who didn't bother to cover the railings. Jeremy came by and picked up a sample of our maple floor and they matched the stain on the stairs wonderfully (I hear this can be tricky when dealing with different wood species). We're so pleased as the stairs are the first thing you see when you enter the house. Darlene & Jeremy are true experts and highly recommended. Thanks so much from Ken and Barbara.

Our nearly 80 year old front door had seriously deteriorated over the last number of years and we were afraid that it could not be saved. But, Darlene and Jeremy did an excellent job restoring it. It now looks better than a new one.

My parents were building a new home and we needed someone to stain the maple staircase. I did some research online and found this company. They did an amazing job! We are all very happy with the finished staircase. It was a dark stain which can be difficult to do, but obviously it wasn't hard for them because the staircase turned out beautiful! I've been searching for a company to restore our front door for over two years and was actually getting discouraged and thought our only option would be to purchase a new one.
