This young man was courteous, knowledgeable and informative. He clearly knew what he was doing and kept me infomred every step of the way. He arrived on time!! I would not hesitate to recommend Northwood and Eric to anyone who needs this type of work. I plan to use Northwood again to clean my air ducts and I will use them for all my future heating and air conditioning needs.

After gutting our finished basement in our century home, we discovered many inadequacies in all of our home systems. Northwood Heating came to advise on repairs and recognized several areas for improvement, including ducts which were not set up even close to code and a really poor wiring job on our furnace. After Jason replaced a major portion of our duct work we felt an immediate improvement in our home heating comfort. As well, he replaced our broken down humidifier with a new drip style and basically rewired the furnace/thermostat, which had been poorly installed 3 years previously by a large utility company. All the subsequent contractors who have been working on our basement have commented on what a professional job Northwood did and that we will reap the rewards on our energy bills for years to come. Not only did Jason do an outstanding job, he and all the Northwood employees were polite and knowledgeable. They were also kind enough to adjust their schedule to coordinate with other trades which needed their assistance to complete their work. We look forward to a future kitchen reno and having Jason return to fix the problems we are sure to encounter there. We would fully recommend Northwood!

The workers were contientious, thorough, clean and explained each step in detail so I could understand it all. As a single woman, felt very comfortable with these workers in my home. Family owned and run business gets my vote each and every time. Took care of everything and made sure it was done right. Left my house cleaner than they found it. Already recommended them to my friends and family! Fantastic job!!!

I hired Northwood to convert from oil to gas. Gary Landry came to the house and looked over everything relating to the HVAC system, he explained the work that needed to be done and provided an accurate estimate. When the brothers Landry and their apprentice finished the installation they explained how the various systems work and the maintenance requirements. They did a great job fitting a lot equipment into a really small space. They carefully thought out the layout of the equipment and vents to maximize the use of space but still leave room for maintenance access. The guys were very accommodating. I requested additional equipment be added to the system after they already began installing the furnace. They immediately acquired installed the equipment. Northwood is the only contractor that I didn't have to clean up after. They used drop cloths to contain the mess caused by disposal of the old oil furnace and tank. They washed the floors and cleaned everything before they left, they even cleaned up garbage left behind by different contractor. A Direct Energy representative said that he was impressed with Northwood's work. If I had to pick about something, it would be that the office was slow to response to my inquiries. I've had a lot of contractors running through the house lately, Northwood Heating was the best. I highly recommend Northwood Heating & Air Conditioning.

Brian and Gary are one heck of a team. They were efficient, courteous, and knew what they were taking about. They came in, explained what needed to be done, then showed us what they did and how to use the new equipment. Their after sales service was the icing on the cake. They came highly recommended by none other than Mike Holmes himself and now I see why!

Northwood was highly recommended by my neighbours. They were right!! Brian and his assistant were courteous, efficient and careful to ensure that my home stayed neat and tidy throughout the cleaning. They really know their stuff!! I'll be looking to hire them this year to replace my furnace and a/c. Family owned and operated company - one you can trust!!

A friend recommended Northwood after they saved her a lot of money by replacing an A/C part when other HVAC companies told her she needed a new A/C system ... I called them about moving an air return register and removing some redundant duct work, and decided to relocate and replace the furnace and A/C. Gary, Brian and their assistant came the week before Christmas and got everything done in 2 days. They found a small gas leak late on the second day and wouldn't leave until they found and fixed the problem (a small crack in a pipe from the 1950's that had been undetected for years). They worked until almost 2am and were pleasant the whole time. They are professional, knowledgeable, courteous, dedicated and take pride in their work. They've found a lifelong customer in me!

We used this company to install the gas line to range and the a/c in our house. They did the work professionally and were very patience. We had various delays cause by builder of our home and the finishing of our yard. Gary and his team worked around these issues. Our A/C was done well. Thank you.

Gary and Brian were in to do work last fall installing gas lines for a tankless water heater and an outdoor barbecue. Their work was exceptional, professional, and meticulous. Needless to say, we asked them back to maintain the furnace last winter and again just this past week to clean the ducts and furnace. Brian and his assistant took great care to cover the working areas of the floors with tarps. Their boots were always left at the door. They took great pains to remove all the registers and grills without leaving marks on the walls. The vents were covered so that dust released by air pressure would not escape back into the rooms. Using a camera, vacuum, and rotating brushes, all the dust, debris, and pet hair were removed from the supply and return sides of the system in the basement. I looked for myself and the interior of the duct was clean and shiny as new. It was a lengthy job taking about 4 hours, but it was well worth it to have the house looking exactly as it had been before they arrived, only much cleaner inside the heating/air conditioning/ventilating system. We are all breathing much easier today. Not only is the air we breathe cleaner, the air flow is better to all the rooms with a much more even temperature throughout the house. We are also breathing easier mentally knowing that a careful, experienced, conscientious, thoughtful, and hard-working approach was taken to give us a better home in which to live for the winter ahead. I wanted an honest, highly skilled, knowledgable furnace contractor with an excellent quality product and I got it all plus brilliant service!!! Job was done cleanly and all debris was taken away. Gary is clearly a very responsible and dependable tradesman who takes his craft very seriously. I plan to use Northwood for duct cleaning in the near future.MG
