Steve came 3 hours after I called. He is a super friendly guy. Quickly explained the situation and replaced the spring. Made sure the other garage door was properly adjusted as well and cleaned my sensors for me. Provides a 3 year warranty on the work. Would definately use him again for any garage door needs.

I called Steve for an estimate to have my garage door replaced and he showed up in less than an hour! After ordering the door that we wanted he showed up last week and installed the brand new rails, doors, opener during the day. Definitely recommended.

Spoke to Steve and after giving me a reasonable quote he swung by the next day. He was on time and fixed the problem fairly quickly. He was professional, and gave me some helpful info. My neighbour was impressed with their work and hired them on the spot to fix their opener. I would highly recommend Open Sesame.

I was looking for a new garage door and opener (purchase and installation), and called Open Sesame based on Homestars reviews. I explained my situation and what I had been looking at, and Steve immediately knew the caliber of door I was looking for. He recommended a Haas 2000 insulated door. He came by at my convenience to look at my situation. I found him to be honest and very knowledgeable. He gave me some valuable information to help insulate the garage. I went with his recommendation on the door and opener, and am extremely happy with the door. Winter will really tell though if it is worthy of the money I paid. There was an issue with the door upon installation. But it was Steve who identified it and arranged for a new glass panel section. He ordered that part and replaced it in a timely manner. What I appreciated was the fact that Steve did not even mention payment until the work was completed, including the replacement panel. He wouldn't take my money even after I offered it, until I was satisfied after the replacement panel was installed. I feel very good about going with Open Sesame. Steve definitely is that rare honest contractor who does great work at a very reasonable price.

I had my new garage doors installed last year. I waited a year to write this review to make sure everything was still working after a year of use. I was very impressed when installed and still am. Steve was wonderful to deal with and my kids liked him too.

Customer service. Steve of Open Sesame is committed to it. I called him on a Thursday before a long weekend and he said he would come the next day although he was booked up so I could go away on my vacation. He actually found time to come that day. Always professional, always responsive. I've used him before, and I will use him again.

Honesty is hard thing to find amongst trades people...I called 3 places that that Liftmaster recommended off their website as recommended service companies. They are were all crooks in their approach and fees. I checked Homestars and found OpenSesame. Steve came fixed my broken opener...note that on the phone he tried to diagnose the problem so that he did not have to come over and to save me the money. While here, he voluntarily (as a part of the agreed upon fee) re-inforced my wooden garage door with a dozen bolts, reprogrammed my car openers and then taught me how to reprogram the openers for future use. He is one of THE best people I have met (not just trades) in a long time. I would not hesitate to refer or recommend him to anyone.

Initial service was great, but the followup was terrible. I called Steve last fall (2011) about a broken cable on my garage door, and he fixed it the next day. Price was reasonable, and service was friendly. When the door came off its track a month later due to cable tension, it took over three weeks of calling (multiple voice mails with no response) to get him to come back for a 5-minute fix. This spring (2012), when the same cable broke, he said he would come out within the next two days after I spoke to him. He never showed up, and has since not returned any calls. I've given up. Would not recommend.

Steve came out and took a look at my garage door, which sometimes closed and sometimes didn't, screeched horribly while closing, and occasionally jammed. He did a wonderful job, taking his time, troubleshooting along the way -- sensors needed re-positioning and realigning, track needed re-positioning, bolt on backwards, wrong bolts, and backward brackets!!!!!! (clearly a handyman job). Door works great now. Couldn't be happier.

I accidentally locked the my garage door from opening. i called open sesame and they did everything they could to help me open it and save me the $$$ of a service call. Ultimately i had them come out and they were great. professional, on time and friendly (and a good price....i called around)
